This guesthouse is beautiful, clean, and centrally located. My impression is that the owners have worked hard to create a lovely space but have become hypervigilant as a result. Keith is not warm and seems a bit peeved at all times; we were treated us as disruptions more than guests. but it's possible he's just very shy and comes across the wrong way. Perhaps he should run things behind the scenes and put someone else upfront. Overall, a lovely space that needs just a little more loveliness of spirit.

We have friends who have stayed at the BL several times and we met them there for our first visit to PT. The house is very comfortable, relaxed, with a great staff and friendly atmosphere. We left PT very much having enjoyed our first visit and would the BL was a part of that experience.

This is the first review I have ever written, because normally I do not have anything to add to past reviews. Having stayed at the Beaconlight before with the former owners I was looking forward to another great stay. We pulled up to the Beaconlight at 1:30 p.m. to see if we could check in. I walked up to the door and introduced myself and said "I am here to check in." The reply from the English guy who I later learned was one of the new owners was, and I quote "Not until after 3 you’re not." I travel around 100 days a year for business/pleasure and never have I been greeted so rudely. It is normally welcome to xxxx and I am sorry but your room will not be available until xxx. This kind of greeting is unacceptable from an employee much less an owner and is inexcusable even if he was having a bad day over the Fourth of July weekend. He was not anymore friendly when I woke up early to get some ice. The other owner was pleasant and helpful when I checked in and the rest of the stay was without incident. However, the tone was set upon check in. I have stayed at other establishments in Provincetown and have never had this type of experience. I suggest that you take your business elsewhere as I will be doing.

Loved staying here- it truly is an oasis!

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed staying here. Warm welcome, inviting tour of the guesthouse (including the roof top deck with 360 views and first floor deck with hot tub), nourishing breakfast at large kitchen table where you can chat with other guests, comfortable rooms, and great location! The guys who run this place set the tone of this warm, relaxed, fun, classy guesthouse! Hope you enjoy your stay!

I stayed with my girlfriend at the Beacon Light House last Memorial Weekend 2008 and we had the best time of our lives again... We also stayed there the same weekend 2007 and we are planning to make it our yearly trip. Keith and Mark make it so easy to want to come back and stay at their guesthouse. Besides them being absolutely fabulous they have the most darling house boys every year and they keep their home SUPER CLEAN. They also have the best rooftop deck in Provincetown. The guys also have a very nice happy hour each year which allows the guest at the guesthouse to mingle. In that hour we get to chat with Keith and Mark and get to know them a little better. The happy hour is really awesome. I loved both of my stays at the Beacon Light House. Each year it just gets better and better and I truly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice, clean and friendly environment to stay while they are vacationing. A very happy and satisfied vacationer
