1775 Abigail's Bed and Breakfast
Abigail's is a circa 1775, white clapboard colonial, nestled in the historic village of Kingston, Massachusetts, named after the innkeepers' granddaughter. In the heart of a quiet historic neighborhood, Abigail's stands proud with its four colonial chimneys and barn, plus extensive yard. The large two-story barn on the property is historic, as it was the local blacksmith's shop from the late 1700's through the 1800's. In the gardens of Abigail's one finds many places to sit and relax; one favorite spot is the bench swing nestled near Abby's Cottage, a small children's playhouse in the garden. When staying at Abigail's, one has a peaceful place to retreat to after a busy day. The quiet gardens offer tranquility in the summer months and the fireplaces offer a cozy spot in the winter months to enjoy a good book and good conversation. There are many original features in the house to explore, including wide pine floors, original doors, moldings, and four fireplaces. Abigail's offers afternoon tea or coffee or a cool drink with homemade goodies.
