The Dockside Inn is located on the island of Martha's Vineyard, known the world over for its great beaches, preserved small villages, and historic past as a whaling center. The Vineyard is now perceived as the vacation area of choice for the rich and famous. The Inn sits adjacent to Oak Bluff Harbor, at the end of the main shopping street. The Dockside Inn is an easy walk from all the Oak Bluffs ferry docks, close to good restaurants, shops, bike paths and miles of sandy beaches. The inn was built in 1989 and has all the advantages of a modern inn, with the charm of its Victorian heritage. Most rooms have queen beds, we also have family friendly efficency suites with small kitchen facilities, a pull out sofa for the kids or another couple. A very special two bed room apartment is available with full kitchen, for the perfect getaway vacation. All rooms feature AC, Cable TV, hairdryers and telephones. A continental breakfast is included. There is a large hot tub located in the garden. The property has two handicap rooms and wheelchair access. Limited parking is available on site. (It is recommended that you leave your car in one of the Ferry parking lots and come over without it.) The scenic drive to the Dockside Inn is an experience in itself. Leaving the Martha's Vineyard Airport, turn left onto the West Tisbury Rd. and head for Edgartown. Follow the signs to Oak Bluffs. Soon you will be driving along one of the beaches for which the Island is famous. Follow the road along the water and you'll come to the Steamship Authority pier on your right. Take a left here and go down the hill to your first right, which is Circuit Ave. Extension. The Dockside Inn is on your right. It's about five miles from the airport as the seagull flies, more by the scenic route.
