The Knoll, a twelve room house was built in 1910 and is situated on seventeen acres of farmland and forests. It is located in a residential area and yet has a rural atmosphere. Northampton is in the five college area of western Massachusetts. The colleges are located less than twelve miles from The Knoll. The five colleges are: Smith, Amherst, Univ. of Mass., Hampshire and Mt. Holoke. The house is situated well off of Route 9, so we are able to offer quiet restful accommodations. No smokers please.

Our two night stay was very comfortable and conveniently close to Smith College and Park. We forgot our cell phone charger and didn't even notice once we were home! but Lee had alrready put it in the mail for us. Definitely consider staying here if you'll be in the area!

    Charming Stay!

    June 01, 2008

This was my husband's and my first B&B experience, and it was lovely! Mrs. Lesko was warm, kind and helpful, and it was a great experience. We felt comfortable and taken care of. The service was wonderful, and not suffocating in any way (which is what I feared the B&B experience might be like!). The house is pretty and homey, and our room was simple and full of country charm. The breakfast was delicious, with a spotlight on rhubarb which is in season right now. This was a very charming and pleasant experience, and we will stay again, and recommend to others.
