76 Main street is a lovely gracious stately old home situated perfectly, on the cobblestone streets of downtown Nantucket. David keeps the home spotless especially the magnificent original wood floors The home has a lovely shaded backyard where birds chirp overhead as you eat breakfast. The smell of David's beautiful roses are ever present in the air. Breakfast is an assortment of cold cereals and store bought pastries...but is more than enough and we were quite satisfied. David is meticulous in his entry presentation and leaves no questions unanswered...he even tells you how long to hold down the lever on the toilet flush. Our room was quite large except for the rather small bathroom..but since the home had no plumbing when it was built, we were pretty impressed that they were able to retrofit each guest room with a bathroom at all. We were quite satisfied with 76 Main and would return in a heartbeat.
