Beautiful area / neighborhood.. Pristine room, excellently appointed, private oasis. Delightfully presented, deliscious, healthy food / snacks / drinks. Every need anticipated and met. Most highly recommended for first and return visits.

My daughter and I stayed here for one night at the end of June and quickly wished we could have stayed for a week. This is a wonderful B&B, perfect in every way. It's like having your own lovely apartment in the middle of a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the beach rocks. Beautifully decorated with private driveway and separate entrance, as well as a private courtyard. Jennifer and Dave have thought of everything you might possibly need or want and are the warmest hosts you will ever meet. Jennifer had contacted me before our trip to find out about any food allergies or aversions. The breakfast she provided was so delicious--lovely fritattas, yogurt, yummy jams, bread, mango slices and blueberries, and the best homemade granola I've ever tasted! The best thing was that we could eat at whatever time was convenient for us; she left detailed directions for how to heat the fritattas in the toaster oven. There was also a microwave, coffee maker, and electric tea kettle. AC, ceiling fan, skylight that opens provided lots of cooling options, private patio was beautiful. Dave showed us how everything worked (electronics, media, wifi) and they gave us great dinner recommendations and helpful directons for arriving and leaving the area, as well as suggestions for stops along our route. There was some wine and lovely vermont cheddar and crackers for an everning snack, a selection of juices too. Truly you will feel well cared for at Arbor House! The bed was comfortable, the room was comfortable, it was a relaxing and most lovely place to stay, can't imagine staying anywhere else in Marblehead. I would HIGHLY recommend Arbor House, you won't be disappointed, and it will be a pleasure to meet Jennifer and Dave and enjoy staying in their beautiful neighborhood.

Jennifer and Dave made our anniversary weekend very special. The room and private courtyard were more than we hoped for. We would definitely stay with them again.

When looking for a B&B, I wanted small and private. This was perfect. Jennifer and Dave couldn't have been more inviting. Jennifer make us dinner reservations as soon as we got there. Dinner was great and we were greeted with a big hello from the hostess "Hope you enjoy your stay in Marblehead". The room was very romantic as we were there to celebrate my Birthday and our upcoming anniversary. Dave and Jennifer had a bottle of champagne waiting for us to celebrate. Nice touch! The breakfast and snacks were excellent. A little fruit and the scones were out of this world. Everything was so organized, and the decorations were very nice. We opted for some music but could have watched a movie or cable TV. We were impressed by everything and would highly recommend staying at this B&B.

We had a wonderful stay at the B&B. The food was fantastic as was the total experience. Jennifer and Dave were so friendly and helpful in their suggestions of activities, yet they allowed us total privacy. They also went above and beyond with regards to returning items we left by mistake.

Our stay at the inn was absolutely wonderful. In addition to being well furnished, clean and quiet, the breakfasts were delicious- fresh fruit, home made breads, granola, juices, and other goodies. Also, I appreciated that the food was organic. Each morning we enjoyed our stroll to the ocean, sitting on the rocks, and absorbing the beauty. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here!!

A great place to stay for a quiet, intimate retreat. Great walk into marble head and by the water from the B & B. Loved it.

A quiet and hospitable house and a perfect start to participate in the Boston marathon 2009! Your separate frontdoor and little garden.Real natural breakfast with a variety of fresh fruits especially composed for the protein and carboload. And also my wife as a non-runner enjoyed it here very much.

We’re not B&B folks. We don’t like sharing baths down the hall or breakfasts with strangers. We like modern resorts on a beach. But nothing like that exists on Boston’s North Shore. Choices are limited to accommodations that reflect their history - where ceilings and doorframes were built for people of another era who were short in stature. If you find places like this boring and cramped there’s hope. We discovered perfect accommodations at the Arbor House. Run by Jennifer and Dave with meticulous attention to detail, the house features a single suite with separate entrance, garden, patio and driveway. You’re free to come go as you please unencumbered by other guests. Your hosts leave you alone unless you need something - but odds are you won’t because of all the thought they’ve put into making your stay comfortable. Imagine yourself tucked away on a quaint, tree-lined lane perched on rocks right next to the sea. Across the lane is a picturesque pond where Bull Frogs serenade you to sleep. A short walk down a path brings you to a private beach on the rocky shoreline where you can sunbathe or collect your thoughts. Inside your suite is a vaulted ceiling where a skylight brightens your morning. An amazingly comfortable bed with modern linens lets you sleep without fuss. A couch awaits in front of a big screen TV with a zillion channels. An eclectic collection of CDs and DVDs sits next to the entertainment center beckoning you to expand your horizons. Step through a sliding glass door to your private patio with table and chairs and start the day with coffee and newspaper. The next-door cat that might even say hello.Enjoy your own modern bathroom. A kitchenette adjoins your living space - its cupboards filled with scrumptious organic pastries, fruits, juices and granola - each presented with delicate attention to detail. It’s like an efficiency apartment where no detail is overlooked in making your stay relaxing, private and comfortable.

First - we were pleasantly surprised at how close to Salem we actually were (10 minute drive to Old Town Salem). This place was perfect for taking day trips not only to Salem, but to Boston as well. The cottage (and it is a little cottage) is completely private, is a short walk to a secluded outcropping of rocks on the ocean (we spent hours there, gazing at the ocean, completely alone!) and the folks who own it are fantastic! We had such wonderful treats from Jennifer every day - and since she usually left them when she refreshed the room daily, they never made it to breakfast - we ate them when we returned to the room at night! Both Dave and Jen were very knowledgeable about things to do in the area, and I could just go on and on. The room had a DVD player which we used, a stereo, books and a little kitchenette with coffee, juices, etc. The bed was comfortable, and since we were craving a relaxing atmosphere, this was perfect. If you want to be walking distance to the village however, this is not the place. But we wanted proximity to the ocean and a more secluded atmosphere. We had fantastic stay there and will definitely stay there again.

Terrific, homemade breakfast goodies in your personal mini-fridge. Great and homey location - nice for walking or jogging. Secluded and sunny private suite with all the modern conveniences.

A wonderful, private spot. Located in a beautiful residential area, this b&b is a gem. A beautiful room with a lovely living room area and delightful patio. The bed is so comfortable and the linens are exquisite. Immaculate. So close to the ocean, it's a short walk to a stunning ocean overlook. Anyone looking to experience true New England charm will love the Arbor House. A great value too.

I stayed at Arbor House last August and couldn't help returning for Labor Day weekend. It was healing at a time i needed it - so now my sanctuary-away-from-home, with mini-kitchen and flower-strewn terrace. The beauty, care from Jen an Dave, the peace, the cheer, the charm, the homeyness, the delicious all organic food, the Mediterranean-like views, the proximity to both beaches and town, the quality in every way, will keep me coming back summer after summer. summer.
