Fireside B&B of Lexington

  • Inn Details

Our four season Bed and Breakfast offers four season charm with distinct decorated guest rooms each with modern private tile baths. Guest share a private leisure room displaying photographs of historical scenes, cable TV, desk, and pub table with swivel chairs to challenge the Innkeeper at a game of chess or indulge in casual reading of historical Lexington. We offer our formal living and dining rooms year round for a more open and spacious environment. During the late fall and winter, seating is offered in the Innkeeper's leisure room to enjoy the view and warmth and glow of a stone fireplace and the antique woodworking tools given to the Innkeeper by his grandfather. In the spring, while the mist is still in the air, enjoy the re-enactment activities that led to the start of the Revolutionary War. In the summer, guests are encouraged to enjoy the sun while swimming in out heated in ground pool and viewing the one acre of wooded and landscaped yard which borders conservation land. During the summer evenings, guests can enjoy the camoflaged lights that pierce through the maple trees to reflect off the water while huddling around a glowing firepit at poolside sharing life's experiences. We offer our home as a place away from home in warmth with a "Touch of Charm" and welcome the exchange of culture, tradition and traveler's tales.

This is a B&B that is outstanding in every way. From the first time we met Maureen until the day we left we had an exceptional experience. The house is decorated so well, our room lacked for nothing and the breakfasts we had were unbelievable. Maureen provides guests a living room, a place to watch television(although our room did have a TV), beverages and snacks. We felt totally at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the area. Maureen was very helpful regarding information about the area.

The Fireside Bed and Breakfast of Lexington is wonderful! The house is beautiful with delightful decor and great amenities (including for example a large porch, sitting rooms, and a large garden with swimming pool), and such a warm and friendly atmosphere. When we arrived, Maureen welcomed us in and the aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip banana bread greeted our noses (and our tummies soon after!). What wonderful hosts – we felt like we were welcomed as part of the family, and they were very friendly and flexible. The breakfasts were delicious! Great fresh fruit with full cooked breakfasts, including homemade baked goods like muffins and sweetbreads, and Maureen even packed us up some pieces to take with us each day! They also provided great advice and recommendations on where to go when requested, including directions. While being warm and welcoming, they also are very respectful and give guests as much space as they would like. We were in town for a wedding, and the Fireside B&B included conveniences such as hair dryer, bath robes, TV and even snacks and drinks that we could easily help ourselves too. In addition, it is very clean and tidy, and a very reasonable cost. It is also a great location – just off route 95 in Lexington, and close to Concord and Boston.

I just stayed at Bob and Maureen's wonderful facility with a group of friends planning on touring the Boston and Lexington area. What wonderful hosts! They were attentive but not obstrusive! Maureen's breakfasts were beyond belief - no way you go away hungry! This was my first experience with an American B & B and I would highly recommend it. Amenities provided were better than upscale hotels.

This property is conveniently located just off Rte 128/I-95 in a quiet residential area. We arrived in turmoil as the alarm on our rental car went off and we couldn't silence it. The innkeeper, Maureen, knew which button to push, tranquility was restored, and we got acquainted. Besides her apparent automotive expertise, Maureen was the perfect hostess. The place was spotless, the room with private bath comfortable, and the breakfasts delicious and generous, featuring fresh fruit, home-made pastry and made to order entrees. We really felt at home, and look forward to our next visit.

Can't really compare to other B&B in the area, but when coming back for the second time, we chose again the Fireside ! Maureen and Bob are really welcoming and you feel at home ! We enjoyed every minute of it, had top of the notch breakfast and service and very clean rooms and bathroom. You can't go wrong and if you speak with them, they are a wealth of information for things to do around ! We'll keep the address in our book for any future trips in the area.
