Stonover Farm

Stonover Farm is a 115-year-old Berkshire "cottage" which has been renovated extensively to provide luxury quarters. The Main House, Rock Cottage and School House Suite welcome guests who desire a truly unique Bed & Breakfast experience.

Since a "full house" is typically 12 guests, we're able to provide personal assistance (and a full cooked-to-order breakfast) in order to assure the most enjoyable Berkshire experience possible.

The inn stands beside a spring-fed duck pond on 10 country acres with magnificent trees, lawns and forest, yet it's just 7/10 of a mile from the Tanglewood main gate, and 2 miles from Lenox Village. Stonover Farm offers all the beauty and serenity of a country inn, while providing all the conveniences of a first class city hotel, including 4 fireplaces, living room, greenhouse, library, dining room, sunny breakfast room, patio and courtyard overlooking the pond, air conditioning in all suites (bedroom, sitting room and bath), private complimentary phone, Sony flat-screen tv's, DVD player with DVD movie library, and Bose Wave radio / CD players with a selection of music for enjoyment in the suites. There are robes, amenities, full cooked-to-order breakfast, wine and cheese in the late afternoon, guest computer and wireless internet access -- all this in a stunning, peaceful country setting.

Rock Cottage is on a hill with a splendid view of the duck pond and the meadow beyond. Surrounded by windows on the front and side, the cottage is centrally air-conditioned and fully equipped for stays of 3 days or 3 months.

There is a porch with table and chairs for outdoor dining or relaxing. The master bedroom has an oversized King bed with large closet and bureau. The new bath has a tiled shower/tub and two-sink vanity. The living room features comfortable furniture, dining table and chairs, an entertainment cabinet with cable, Sony 27" TV with full cable and DVD, a large stone fireplace and finished hardwood floors.Suite One is a 3-room suite that occupies one side of the second floor. Its sitting room has a comfortable arm chair and ottoman with standing reading lamp, a closet with robes for your convenience, a writing desk and a generous view of the field and forest across the road. The bedroom, with queen bed and twin wall reading lamps, offers a view of the courtyard and woods.
Breakfast is served in the Creamery overlooking the pond, or, if you prefer, in the dining room or outside in the courtyard. Fresh - squeezed juice, fresh-ground coffee, fresh fruit salad, cheeses, breads, muffins, preserves, granola, yogurt, cold cereals, bagels and cream cheese are offered buffet style, and we are happy to prepare eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, pancakes or French toast upon request. We try our best to accommodate any dietary preferences.
