Review Gateways Inn, Lenox, MA

Video

The Gateways Inn, is steeped in charm & elegance. Originally built as a summer cottage, by industry magnate Harley Procter, of Procter & Gamble, the Gateways today continues to exude a turn-of-the century European ambiance. The skylighted entrance hall staircase, designed by Stanford White, leads to the 2ndfloor guest rooms. All rooms have private baths, phones with dataport, TV, & A/C.

Photo Album

Neoclassical in style, the bed and breakfast inn holds many Old World architectural features. The Tiffany-style leaded rose windows which flank the entrance were created in France. The balconied, wraparound staircase in the entrance hall was built on designs from Stanford White. The Inn and Restaurant form a stunning backdrop for weddings, portraits, rehearsal dinners, and other special events.

Our new bar at the Gateways Inn offers aninviting atmosphere. The expansive, custom built mahogany bar entices you as you enter the spacious and comfortable bar. A wide variety of American and Italian wines are offered by the glass. And the outstanding selection of single malt scotches and Italian grappas will surely tempt you! Widen your knowledge and experience one of our "Single Malt Flights".
            ARTHUR FIEDLER SUITE

This suite, the most luxurious of our rooms, features a large sitting room and a very spacious bedroom separated by French doors hung with Venetian lace curtains. Both rooms feature a working gas fireplace. Antique sage walls invite serenity and elegance throughout the suite. From the French Aubusson print bedding and the antique armoire in the bedroom to the plush deep-green sofas and the Mahogany library with dry-bar, the Suite is a subtly luxurious room.
                   Rose Room

Aptly named the Rose Room, king-size-bed room has a decor motif of roses. Cabbage-rose printed walls, soft pink Matlesse bedding, and the white sponge-painted furniture ensemble round out the light, garden-like atmosphere of the room. A corner gas fireplace lends a cozy feeling in Berkshire winter.
              BLUE DANUBE ROOM

A spacious room, in sky-blue. Reminiscent of a European Boudoir, with blue and creme Damask drapery and bedding. Paintings and prints of some of Europe's bluest waterways adorn the walls of this Lenox Massachusetts luxury hotel. This room, ideal for companions travelling together, features a king size bed or two twin beds.
