There is poetry at the very heart of Brook Farm Inn. Discover our Library, the focal point of the Inn, with its extensive collection of poetry, both traditional and contemporary, along with other fine literature…and a good selection of popular books as well. We showcase a poem of the day each morning, and we encourage our guests to browse our collection and find a book to sit and read in front of the Library fireplace, in your room, in the gardens outside, in the hammock or beside the pool. Throughout the year, we hold poetry readings and other entertainments in the Library, often at tea time, when guests may also enjoy homemade scones and strawberry jam. In Linda’s other life, she has been a media specialist and an accomplished storyteller, and she puts her talents to good use for the benefit of Brook Farm’s guests.
Tea and Scones are served daily at 4:00PM in the Library.

Romance in Lenox Room (Room 2) Rich velvet and fine antique mahogany…elegant queen canopy bed…seductive wood-burning fireplace…all add up to the perfect setting for your romantic sojourn in Lenox. This spacious, high-ceilinged, 2nd floor room has graceful wing chairs, tv and dvd player, French doors opening to a view of the inn’s surrounding trees, and a large bathroom with tub and shower. Listen to music from the clock radio/CD player or enjoy the cable TV/DVD.
You’ll feel pampered as never before when you soak in the two-person Jacuzzi tub.
Breakfast at Brook Farm Inn Start your day with our sumptuous buffet breakfast, starting at 8:30 and ending at 10:00. You’ll wake to the aroma of one of Linda or Phil’s legendary dishes…perhaps apple baked French toast, sundried tomato strata, or vegetable frittata. The hot entrée, which changes daily, is always accompanied by home baked muffins, coffee cakes, and fresh breads, along with cereals, yogurt, and a fresh fruit platter. Linda and Phil will be on hand to refill your coffee cup and suggest interesting ideas for your day in the Berkshires. Our cuisine is meatless. We do our best to accommodate special dietary needs.
Our Lenox bed and breakfast is in Western Massachusetts, an exciting destination for all seasons. The area’s museums, galleries, boutiques, and restaurants will keep you entertained all year. The Norman Rockwell Museum is in nearby Stockbridge, MA. Take in a summer concert at Tanglewood, attend plays at Berkshire Theatre Festival or Shakespeare & Co., or see dance at Jacob’s Pillow. Hike along the Appalachian Trail and see the splendid colors of our fall foliage. Go skiing or snowshoeing when the Berkshires are covered in pristine snow.
The Shadowood Burgundy Room (Shadowood 2) Step into the exquisite luxury of this spacious ground floor carriage house room. Enter from the private deck overlooking the gardens and swimming pool. It’s decorated in a tasteful floral pattern of cream, pink and burgundy. Lounge on the loveseat, or luxuriate in the enchanting antique bronze king bed. The many amenities include fireplace, tv/dvd, refrigerator, coffee maker, and two-person Jacuzzi with separate stall shower. The room is completely barrier free as well.
The Victorian Room (Room 1) Step out of the bustle of everyday life, and into the allure of the Victorian era, in this heavenly, large 2nd floor room. Nestle into the queen canopy bed, facing a wood-burning fireplace. The graceful mirror over the mantel reflects pleasing wallpaper patterns of rich blue and pink, offset by a pink velvet settee and lace at the tall windows. The spacious bathroom offers updated tub and shower. Listen to music from the clock radio/CD player or enjoy the cable TV/DVD.

My daughter and I recently spent 2 nights at the Brook Farm Inn. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Linda and Phil were warm and gracious and created an environment that made us feel like welcome guests in their magnificent home. The energy is peaceful, the location superb, the breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. We look forward to our next visit to this very special inn.

Phil and Linda are both super-friendly and hospitable. Brook Farm Inn is a joy to stay in with gorgeous rooms and warm lounge to enjoy in winter with a crackling fire. Although my most recent trip to the Berkshires was solo, my husband and I have stayed at Brook Farm Inn in the past and agree that it is everything we could ever hope to find in accommodations away from home. The location could not be better for culture and appreciation of nature; Linda and Phil, the innkeepers, are delightful, gracious and attentive while never being intrusive; the inn is perfectly and authentically decorated; the rooms are impeccably clean and charming; the breakfasts are delicious and varied. When we are in the Berkshires, this is where we will always be staying and loving it!

I got the chance to visit Brook Farm Inn while on a business trip recently. It's a lovely inn, offering a great collection of poetry and books for literary fans. They even post a poem of the day! The rooms in the Carriage House have all the bells and whisltes - fireplaces, deep whirlpool tubs, and for anyone handicapped, they have been very careful not to miss a single detail, making these rooms ideal for both handicapped travelers and non-handicapped too. Their tea and scones in the afternoons are a real treat too. Check out the skylight loft room on the second floor. It's built into the eves, with some really cool roof lines. It's got extra beds in it, so it's perfect for families or girlfriends getaways.
