    From the Mass Pike (I-90) exit at Exit 2, follow Rte. 20 west for five miles. At second traffic light, turn left to Historic Lenox (Walker Street, 183 West, Rte.7A).At the monument, bear right,and proceed up the hill. Birchwood Inn is located on the right, just before the crest of the hill. Turn right onto Hubbard Street and left into the drive. Parking and the entrance is around the back of the inn.

    Albany (NY) Airport is less than an hour from Lenox while Bradley International Airport (Hartford CT) is an hour-and-a-half from Lenox. From Albany, take I-90 south. From Hartford, take I-91 north to the Mass Pike West.

    • Limited accommodations for guest pets (Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Daily fee of $25.00)
    • Limitations on children staying (Children 12 and over are welcome if accommodations permit.)
    • No childcare is provided
    • Consumption of alcohol is permitted (We are happy to provide guests with glasses, corkscrews, ice)
    • Deposit amount required (A one-night deposit (50% for 4-night or longer stays)by valid credit card or check is required for each reservation.)
    • Check in time is 3:00 pm and Check out time is 11:00 am
    • Cancellations:
      With at least 14 days' (21 May-Nov., Christmas holidays, and groups) prior notice of cancellation, we will refund deposits less a service charge of 10% of the total reservation.With less than 14 days'(21, see above) notice, guests who cancel or change their reservations, are no-shows, arrive later than scheduled arrival date or depart earlier than scheduled departure date are responsible for the full value of their reservation, which will be charged to their credit card. Refunds, less a service charge of 10% of the total reservation, will be made for the rebooked amount if we are able to rebook the room(s).

    There's nothing quite like a shady porch in summer -- for leisure reading,iced tea and pastry, quiet conversation, a nap, butterflies and fireflies, and mountain sunsets.Once the boudoir of the mistress of the mansion, The Dana Room, Room 1, on the second floor of the mansion, features a four-poster canopy queen bed with featherbed, fireplace, antiques, large sitting area with fainting couch, TV with VHS/DVD, a/c, robes,and an update, hand-painted private bath with tub/shower.     The Dewey Room, Rooom 4, on the second floor of the mansion, is decorated in deep aubergine, moss green and cream and features a king bed, queen sleep sofa, wood-burning fireplace, a/c, TV, mountain view in winter, and a newly renovated, hand-painted private bath with "sexy" shower.
