Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Federal House Inn. It was so very comfortable and cozy, we were made to feel welcome and at home, and the breakfasts were really wonderful. We plan to return again!

Great hosts. Very nice breakfast. Complimentary 5pm wine & cheese and crackers. Nice location, near Great Barrington and Stockbridge. The room, especially the bathroom could have been cleaner. The bed squeaked loudly with the slightest of movement and wasn't that comfy. Overall a good deal especially with the off season discount.

We wanted a quiet, restful weekend, which we got, but we didnt know we were going to get a 5 star breakfast! Coupled with a nice glass of wine with cheese, it really added to our weekend.

Took a short break from my son's hockey. Great place to relax and is close to most things in the Berkshires. Excellent breakfast and service. Room was fantastic...perfect for this type of getaway. Very good restaurants in the area. Zinc restaurant in Lennox is great and is one of the best in the area. Get reservations ANYWHERE you go for dinner. Lunches are less crowded.

Comming from loud New York, we expect a calm B & B. Unfortunately the Federal House Inn lies oposite a papermill which is also rather noisy over night.

I have stayed here on several occasions in both the Skylight suite and the Yale room. Having to conduct business from a room at an inn, the Skylight suite was perfect, and the owners were wonderful. They went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable. I highly recommend the Federal House Inn.

Just passing thru for a one night stay the Federal House Inn we did not take advantage of all that was offered. Even though we were the only guests for that evening breakfast the next morning was elegant and delicious. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely inn. The best part was the our hosts who were friendly, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The wine and cheese in the living room at 5:00 was a lovely touch and we got to interact with the other guests and share experiences. The rooms and porch were welcoming and we felt comfortable just sitting and reading and enjoying this beautifully decorated and wonderfully located inn.
Three large windows give this room a beautiful view of Beartown Mountain and the original late 1700s building across the street. It features a ceiling fan above a queen canopy bed, a dressing area, bathroom with tub, AC and an electric fireplace, comfortable chairs and a TV.
You'll love this large room on our first floor. With a beautiful mahogany pencil post bed, hand tied canopy and comfortable sitting area, the Billiard Room has large windows with pretty views of the grounds, a wide pine floor and high ceilings with exquisite, original crown molding, AC and an electric fireplace. This is an elegant room where you'll relive the splendors of the early 1800s.
Our largest, most spacious accommodation features two pencil post queen beds, cable TV and AC in both rooms and an electric fireplace in the bedroom. This private third floor suite offers a large bedroom, a charming little reading room and two bathrooms.
