We had a lovely, comfortable stay at this B&B and the Inkeepers were so welcoming and helpful.
Thank you for your very positive written review although your scoring would indicate that your experience with your room was less than terrific. As you know, all of our rooms are different and offer different amenities, views and price points. Of course, I have no idea who you are or what room you stayed in or how we could have improved your in-room experience. As far as "value", once again I do not know what your price point was or what you think it should have been. The next time you visit we want to earn top scores from you but in order to do so we need to know more as stated above. Please feel free to give me call and help us make our guests experience even better.

If one is looking for a bucolic, pleasurable experience that harkens back to the halcyon days, Devonfield is the Inn of the Millennium. Not pretentious, but appointed with luxury. The innkeepers, Bruce and Ronnie, are thoughtful and accommodating. The atmosphere is conducive to the all that one wishes an Inn to be. We have been coming to Devonfield Inn for a decade and we would never go anywhere else. Treat yourself to charm and dignity in being a guest at Devonfield Inn.

I stayed at the Devonfield Inn with my husband during our wedding weekend. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. I loved every small detail of the inn, from the autumnal decor to the antique furniture and wallpaper. It was impeccably clean and our room was very comfortable and quiet. I slept so soundly! The breakfast was delicious and the main course of the day was always a welcome surprise (e.g. blueberry ricotta pancakes with sausage; challah french toast with kielbasa). The kitchen was always open and fully stocked with cookies and assorted treats. The grounds were so pretty and sitting by the fire pit was one of my favorite things to do there. The Inn keepers were friendly and discreet; they gave you privacy but were always easy to find if you needed them. I loved this place and I can't wait to go back!

Do not stop anywhere else. The Devonfield Inn is divine and believe me, the proprietors know how to treat their guests. The inn is lovely, clean as can be and the setting (close to town) is like a retreat. My husband and I voted this our favorite inn among the 7 we stayed in throughout our leaf peeping trip.

We stayed in the cottage at the back of the pool. It was a bit dated, particularly the bathroom, which needs an upgrade. The owners were away the weekend we stayed so not so sure if our service experience would have been different if they had been around as staff was clearly filling in. They were informative but not as warm and welcoming as I am used to experiencing in most inns.
Thank you for your honest review and assessment. You are correct that Ronnie & I were out of town. Generally that should not change a guest's experience of "warmth & welcoming". Kim, Maureen, Alice & Eugen were all covering while we were gone. As you know the Cottage is separate from the main building and we tend to have less contact with guests staying there. It is more private and has some built in amenities like the kitchen. Because of it's size, amenities like a fireplace, whirlpool bath, king size bedroom and living room, it tends to be our most popular space. Everything has been updated except for the bathroom vanity and kitchen countertops and cabinets which is on our to do list. The majority of our reviews on B&B.com and Trip Advisor mention Ronnie & I by name which is an indication that our presence does make a measurable difference in the guest's experience. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to personally host you upon your return. Again, thank you for taking out the time to submit a review.

had many interesting points of interest to visit with in short driving distance. Breakfast at the inn was a great way to start the day. Housekeeping was excellent. Our hosts Bruce and Ronnie could not have been more helpful and made our stay as pleasant as possible.

Just wish the breakfast was a little more interesting for an inn like that, but it was good for sure. Tasty and fresh. People were really very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

This was an average B&B. Not the highend type we hoped for.
Unfortunately I do not know who wrote this review or what room you were in. I, along with the hundreds of other reviews on B&B.com & Trip Advisor, beg to differ with you about just being an average B & B. Average Inns are not part of The Select Registry which we are proudly members of. However, we are not for everyone and, as much as we try, we can always do better. We are at a very reasonable price range for what we have to offer. Wish I knew what we could do in your eyes to be more than just average. Feel free to give us a call and share your thoughts with us. We are always open to suggestions on how we can better serve our guests.

We've stayed at the Devonfield Inn a couple of times and it's always been a welcome, friendly and enjoyable experience. Centrally located too. I highly recommend it as a great place to stay in the Berkshires.
