The Acorn's Hope
The Acorn's Hope is ideally located only three minutes a from the great restaurants and shopping of Gt. Barrington. Also we are three minutes from Mahaiwe Performing Arts Theater We are near to all So. Berkshire attractions, such as Tanglewood,Berkshire Choral, Berkshire Theater, Shakespeare &Co., Appalachian Trail, golf, skiing, antiquing.
We are set on 1 1/2 acres of gardens and lawn, including an old fashioned swing. We offer three lovely rooms each with it's own private bathroom, A/C, bathrobes, hair dryers and amenities. Rooms have Queen, King, twin beds, We offer a substantial breakfast of fresh fruit, juice choice, bread and muffin basket, coffee, Tea and a delicious hot entree. Your Innkeeper, brings you the fruits of her years experience as a caterer.
Just across the street is a fully equipped fitness center, including swimming pool.
We can also arrange guided canoe, fishing and special area hiking trips if you are interested.

From the TAconic, exit to Rte.23 heading east towards Hillsdale. In around 25 minutes 23 meets Rte. 7 (second stoplight) Left at Rte. 7, next light, turn Left again at Taconic Ave. this turns into Alford Rd. Driveway is 1.8 miles from the Taconic turn, Across from the pond.
From Mass. Pike- 90, exit #2 towards Stockbridge. Follow Rte. 20.102 into Stockbridge where it merges with Rte. 7. This brings you into Gt. Barrington. Follow 7 through town (1.8 miles past the McDonalds) just past shopping area, a light and right turn bring you to TAconic Ave. Turn Right, we rea 1.8 miles from that turn. Taconic magically turns into Alford. Rd. - Nearest major airport: Hartford, CT (BDL-Bradley Intl.) 65 miles
