Review Lanes Cove House, Gloucester, MA

    Photo Album

The view from the deck from late fall to early spring stll shows lingering signs of activity. A few lobster boats and dories, as well as a number of lobster trap buoys remain in the sheltered cove. Summer sunsets over the Lanes Cove sea wall are memorable. Whether they're subtle pink and lavender or fiery gold and red they'll hold you on the deck until the last glimmer fades. Come sit on the deck with your glass of wine and enjoy nature's own art works.
The charming Green Room is decorated with green toile wallpaper, Williamsburg fabrics, a silk chair, oriental rugs, and an antique secretary desk. It has the largest en-suite bathroom in the house.
The Blue Room, tranquil and romantic, has fine views of Lanes Cove on Ipswich Bay. The room has a very comfortable bed, is air conditioned, has an overhead fan,and cable television with a VCR. It has a new en-suite bathroom which is decorated in the same crisp and immaculate blue and white.A photo doesn't do justice to this wonderful space. Once a hay loft, it is now airy, bright and serene, with an upholstered king-size sleigh bed, an antique desk, two uniquely upholstered chairs, and a beautiful chest and night table.
Picture your family relaxing, or business group conferring in this sophisticated coastal-themed room. The large square table seats eight, and four more seats are to the left at a raised counter. beyond that is a new full kitchen and a half bath. Notice the large wall-mounted TV.This very special bathroom is in the Carriage House master bedroom. Not pictured in this photo are several cabinets and a large shower. A luxurious space!
The Quilt Room is filled with old world warmth and charm with its gabled ceiling and custom built-ins. It boasts an ocean view from both windows, two beds, one queen and one twin, both covered with hand quilted covers. The room is air conditioned, has a ceiling fan, cable TV with VCR, and a private hall bathroom.
