Baileys By the Sea a Cape Cod Oceanfront B & B

Our stay at Baileys by the Sea was wonderful! Liz and Jerry were so accommodating and genuinely nice people. The view from our room was amazing. I couldn't have picked a better place for a nice, peaceful weekend getaway. I'll definitely go back to Baileys by the Sea when I visit Cape Cod again!

Can't say enough about the appeal of this spacious B & B. Liz has a great personality and does a terrific job of making guests feel special. The attention to detail is excellent. We love to come back and stay longer and would recommend Baileys By the Sea wholeheartedly.

After staying at several other B&Bs we can truly say that Liz is the definition of a wonderful innkeeper and hostess. Her home is beautiful with an awesome view of Martha's vineyard. It was a real treat to wake to the smell of fresh baked bread and her unique breakfast treats. She was most helpful with directions and ideas for things to do making our stay most enjoyable. Can't wait to return!!

Our stay at Bailey's was fantastic. Liz and Jerry are terrific hosts and their house is beautiful. Right on the sea and the view every morning from our room was gorgeous. The food was fine dining and beautifully presented as well. Liz went out of her way to make us feel at home and helped us with directions on places we wanted to go. We would definitely go back for another stay.

Liz, Jerry and Dawn all made for a great stay. Liz' breakfasts were all very good, three courses of excellence. Liz was perhaps the nicest innkeeper we have ever met. She really made us feel welcome in her home. Her pride in Bailey's shows in every detail, in every room of the home, and her breakfasts were a treat. Our oceanfront room overlooked Martha's Vineyard in the distance, and the room was spotless, cozy and comfy. I will certainly recommend Baileys to others.

Baileys is in an absolutely beautiful seaside location on a bluff with the island of Martha's Vineyard clearly visible a few miles away. Baileys is very close to the Island Queen ferry to the Vineyard and also close to the town of Falmouth. The property was restored several years ago and the result is most impressive with obvious attention having been given to every detail. Baileys is superbly maintained and is kept meticulously clean. Lovely people, breathtaking views, and simply amazing people (and a nice dog too!) couldn't have asked for a better weekend away!

Liz was so genuinely friendly and helpful giving us great instructions for places to see. The finishing touches and attention to detail is what gives this B&B the edge. It is a five star property with a relaxed atmosphere. I looked forward to what sweet treat liz would produce everyday - my diet had to be put on hold because her cooking was so fantastic. Being able to borrow beach chairs and sunshade for our long days on the beach was such a great service provided. If we're ever back on the Cape we will certainly be staying there again.

Liz provides the best B&B this side of the Rocky Mountains! We've visited for 8 years or so and the last few years, Alex. our 9-year old granddaughter has accompanied. Towards the end of each visit, Alex says she wants to stay forever (so do we). Great place to lay your head...Thanks for listening.

Excellent Value- We had a great time at Baileys By the Sea. The room was very good ( I have had better but I had to pay far more). We were perfectly satisfied and would recommend Baileys By the Sea to friends and family. The Breakfasts were out of the park.

Liz and Jerry were wonderful!! The rooms were great especially with the beautiful view of the harbor. Breakfast was amazing. They made you feel at home and were there all your needs. Would definitely recommend!!

My wife and I stayed at Bailey's by the Sea for three days for our 1-year anniversary. The hospitality and service by the owners and work staff was amazing! They made us feel right at home, were extremely accommodating, and were very knowledgeable of the area in terms of restaurants and sights. We had a great stay and will definitely go back!

My son and I were celebrating my 50th birthday. He flew in from WY and together we drove down to Falmouth. We received a warm and welcoming greeting! Liz was fantastic and informative. The breakfasts were lovely and it was peaceful eating out in the courtyard near the flower gardens listening to the sound of the water crashing against the rocks. Evenings were spent walking along the ocean or on the sidewalk just above. I would definitely go there again. Great location, great owners! Marjie and Phil

bailly's by the sea was one of the best vacations that we ever took. Liz the inn keeper was fantastic and creative, the staff was pleasant and very polite. we feel that everyone should try this place out and enjoy the view, we will be back next year and look forward too the same hospitality, thank you so much Liz and Jerry you have a wonderful B&B

Bailey's is a special place. It is like staying at the immaculate home of a dear friend. The view of the ocean and accessibility of the beach is great, as well as accessibility to absolutely anything you need. Liz and Jerry are wonderful hosts.

We found Baileys to be a great B&B. The view of the bay and Martha's Vineyard was excellent. The location easy to find. Most importantly, Liz was a very pleasant and helpful hostess. Her breakfasts were very good and with a nice variety of items.

We stayed the weekend of October 7, 2011 at Baileys by the Sea. It is a beautiful, well-maintained home, both the interior and exterior. The view alone is just breathtaking. Liz welcomed us like we were good friends staying for the weekend. Each day she provided snacks such as brownies, cookies, candy, beverages, etc. And breakfast, it was delicious and presented with elegance. Liz is a wonderful host and my husband and I truly enjoyed our visit. Hope to meet Jerry next time. Debbie & Dave

Breakfast was to die for. Liz and Jerry were great hosts. Loved the way it felt, so warm and cozy. Had a great view of the ocean. Great restuarants with in walking distance.

Great bed & breakfast, and Liz was a great host and very hospitable. Will need the use of your car to visit Falmouth, however there are a couple of eateries within walking distance.

Baileys' Liz met us as if we were old friends. The warmth and attention to detail was as fine as the view and location. The room, though ordinalry, was clean and well appointed. The breafast and "treats" were unexpected and made for a very comfortable and excellent experience. We are new to bed and breakfasts, and this experience will make us try again rather than staying at lush but sterile 5 star hotels.

This was a beautiful and comfortable place to stay! It was great location yet very peaceful and relaxing! The highlight was Liz's fabulous breakfast! She also gave us great information about what to do, see, and where to eat! Highest recommendations!

We spent a month in the States in September/October 2011 and our time at Baileys by the Sea was the standout! Liz , Jerry and her staff made us so welcome, fed us so beautifully, slept us so comfortably and shared their local knowledge so generously! Our rooms were beautiful - even better than the pictures. Last but not least was Remy their beautiful, quiet, patient dog . We're inspired - we're getting a dog! We'll be back to Baileys by the Sea!

We really enjoyed our stay at Baileys. We stayed at a number of B & B's on our trip throughout New England and we found the food and personal service at Baileys to be the most memorable. While planning a girls getaway weekend, I found Baileys online. I had never stayed in this area before, but liked the look of the pictures and location. I spoke with Liz and Jerry before booking and they were so friendly and helpful, that we gave it a go! We could not have been happier with our stay. The house is immaculate and so very comfortable. We booked the top floor rooms that adjoined with a shared bath and felt that the acomodations were a great value for the space, comfort and views! Liz was very helpful with suggestions for our dinners out and arranged discount ferry tickets for us. Her breakfasts her so delicious and beautifully presented. This was more than we imagined and we all agree that we will not stay any place else on the Cape ever again!

Gorgeous; the home of Baileys by the Sea is nothing short of being gorgeous. Tastefully finish without going over the top and some of the furnishings are family items making us as guest warm and comfortable. Gracious; Liz the owner is warm, engaging, and helpful. Everyday she would check with us to see if we needed help, suggestions etc to make our stay the best possible. Gastronmic Delights; breakfasts are homemade. You wake up in the morning with your nose being teased by the wonderful smells of homemade breads and breakfast. It is a three course meal but portioned perfectly so you feel satisfied but not over feed. Thank you for a great visit, we hope to be back sometime soon. KJ from MN

The view from our room was delightful as well as the view from the porch. Liz serves the best breakfast. Great location and we met such great people and enjoyed relaxing and talking with them.

We were in town for a wedding and to celebrate our anniversary and decided to stay at BBTS for the weekend! The accomodations were spectacular, as was the view! We were quite busy throughout the weekend so we didn't get to sit and relax and enjoy the B&B atmosphere as much as we would have hoped, but regardless we will absolutely stay there again!! The brekafast's were ahhhhh-mazing!!! Thank you Liz for a great stay!!

My husband and I just stayed at Baileys and had an absolutely wonderful time. Liz and her staff are very friendly and pleasant. I felt like I could chat with Liz for hours! Liz was also helpful with her tips on where to go and how to get there. We stayed in the Tokyo room and the view was breathtaking. We got to enjoy the same view on the breakfast porch also. I spent one day at this inn and would definately come back in the future. I felt like I was at my own home. The inkeepers definately paid attention to all those little details. I stayed at another inn in another village close to Falmouth and there was no comparison. It felt like a 5 star experience.

Warm and welcoming hostess, lovely staff, immaculately clean, beautiful views, 3 course breakfast, walk to beach, short drive to town. Avoid British Beer Company which is walking distance... we got food poisoning. Head into town to Liam McGregor's instead. We had a wonderful time and will absolutely return.

Bailey's By the Sea was an excellent Bed and Breakfast. The location was perfect for walking,biking or driving around the cape. The owners and staff were friendly and extremely helpful. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This Inn definitely exceeded our expectations. The ocean views were spectacular - the rooms were adorable and as clean as could be!!! Liz and her staff are remarkable - they were extremely welcoming which made us feel like we were home. We are definitely planning on going back!!

Liz and Jerry were fabulous hosts and were very helpful in directions and anything that we needed to enjoy our stay. Liz's breakfasts were fantastic and the views from the porch were wonderful. Liz has fresh baked cookies for you everyday and you can help yourself to the refrigerator to store cold drinks etc. The only negative that I have to say is we did not have a bathroom attached to the particular room we chose and it was a short walk down the hall and very tiny but other than that we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I were looking for a restful two day get-away for my birthday. We found exactly what we were looking for at Bailey's by the Sea. Our hosts, Liz and Jerry, were gracious and accommodating. We had a lovely room with a vista of Martha's Vineyard in the distance. The attention to detail in the room was amazing. We sat in our two comfy rockers in front of our bay window watching the ocean and the boats passing by. The tiled shower was supplied with dispensers of fragrant shampoo, conditioners and body wash. The linens were soft and ample. Downstairs we sat in the evening in their expansive wrap-around porch, sipping cocktails and watching the world go by. It was truly a relaxing time. Not to mention the amazing breakfasts! Plus Liz likes to have fresh homemade afternoon snacks...yummy cookies, banana bread, brownies. Whatever Liz puts out is delicious. After a day of exploring the cape, we came back to our room to a surprise birthday for two! That was an unexpected pleasure. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Bailey's by the Sea!

Situated on The Height's with a spectacular view of The Vineyard! An historical home that is not only charming, comfortable but staffed by the most grascious and friendly down to earth people that are your friends when you leave. The breakfasts are divine and the baked treats "avaliable all day long" are to die for. All that you could want for is within walking distance to include Woods Hole via the bike trail. Give yourself a treat and stay at Bailey's!!

Three days of great living! The hostess was fun, accommodating, and informative. The home was wonderful and perfectly appointed. The setting was beautiful. We had a marvelous time and can't wait to return. Thanks for the perfect ending to our New England journey.

I had a delightful time at Bailey's during a business trip to Woods Hole. It was by far the nicest and most beautiful B&B I've been in. Liz was a wonderful host, friendly, but not too involved. She's also a great cook. Wonderful hot breakfasts and fresh bread. It's a spacious house and has a wonderful view of the ocean and Martha's Vineyard on the horizon. Highly recommended.

OMG !!!! You have to stay here to believe it. It is such a awesome place. Liz is the perfect hostess from the welcome you receive when you arrive to making you feel part of the family during your stay. Her knowledge of the area was much appreciated as this was our first time on Cape Cod and phone calls made on our behalf along with cake and cookies "on tap" made our holiday one to remember and certainly one to repeat. Having travelled extensively world-wide this was our first "international" B&B experience and we were'nt disappointed. D & D, Lichfield, Staffordshire, UK.

Our experience was wonderful. Liz and her staff outdid themselves. We felt right at home. Liz helped us feel comfortable and answered any questions we had. We did not want to leave.

We had a wonderful stay at Baileys. We had the chance to experience two different rooms. First night was the beautiful view of the ocean with comfortable rocking chairs to enjoy. Very comfortable king size bed and the spacious bathroom with every need taken care of from extra fluffy towels to cotton balls etc made it like home. Cleanliness was amazing. It was as if no one else used the bathroom before. Second night was one of the cozy rooms which was very comfortable too. We would recommend the inn for anyone who wants to get away from it all and to be pampered at the same time. The delicious breakfast and the home away from home feel..while one is immersed in the beauty of Cape Cod is what you will get there...I can't wait to get back...Thank you Liz and the stuff for making our stay so special..Hope to see you in the future..

Perfection in a bed and breakfast. Can be difficult to find, however, Baileys has it all. Charm, elegance and experienced innkeepers in a beautiful natural setting of old Cape Cod.

Location, location, location!!! Everything was within walking distance that we wanted to do. Beach, dining, ice cream shop, seafood, etc. We LOVED sitting on the porch and gazing at the ocean and walkers as they passed by. A lovely walk (sidewalks on one or either side) is just a step outside the door. Waking to the aroma of coffee and breads freshly made was enough to get this sleepy head out of bed. Breakfast was heavenly and more than enough to keep you going throughout the day. We'll be back!

The service, food, and location/views makes Bailey's by the Sea an outstanding Bed & Breakfast! Liz is the consummate hostess. Together with her staff, including CJ the greyhound, Liz provided a perfect experience for our vacation. The breakfast and snacks were fantastic. Not only was the presentation flawless, but the quality was impeccable. Quantity was also perfect. Included were not only the breakfast, but cookies (available 24 x 7) and sweet treats placed out in the evening. Liz answered every question we could ask, and provided great ideas for things to do and see. The Inn’s location is right on the water and provides great views of Martha’s Vineyard. It is within walking distance of the ferry and other Falmouth attractions. This was our first visit, but we would love to go back. We will recommend this place to anyone visiting the area in the future!
