Victorian Inn

  • Inn Details

An attractive Inn with the casual elegance of a restored Whaling Captain's Home on the Island of Martha's Vineyard in historical Edgartown, Massachusetts. We have maintained the tradition and charm of the era and await you as our guests for a relaxing, hospitable and comfortable vacation. Situated on the lovely south Water Street where many sea captains built their mansions; directly across from the famous Pagoda Tree, one block above the town dock and harbor; just a short stroll to may fine restaurants, quaint shops, museums and art galleries. Each flower-filled room with either twin, double, queen or king sized beds, some four-poster canopied, each with private bath, is tastefully decorated with family furniture and cherished antiques. Your door or window may open to a balcony overlooking the harbor or English Garden. The convenience and charm of a "Gourmet Breakfast," complimentary to our guests, start the day between the hours of 8:00am and 10:00 am served in the Breakfast Room or, weather permitting, in the English Garden. Whatever your pleasure, tennis, golf, bicycling, horseback riding, summer theater, wildlife sanctuaries, sailing, fishing, swimming, or sunbathing on the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in the East, it is yours when you stay on this unforgettable Island. "Cape Cod Life Magazine 1996-2003" winner, "Best B&B on Martha's Vineyard".

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at The Victorian Inn in Edgartown. The house is lovely and the owners and staff are fun, kind, helpful, and of course, hospitable. The meals were amazing, gourmet and everything was super-fresh. The location was perfect for us to walk and bike where-ever we wanted. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this Inn, Edgartown and Marta's Vineyard in general.

We spent 3 nights at the Inn. Tis very well furnished, clean, comfortable, and so close to everything. The Caliris are the perfect innkeepers. Karyn is an excellent cook. The breakfasts were outstanding. The afternoon cookies were fabulous. And Stephen, well Stephen is someone you will never forget. He is intelligent, funny, informative, friendly, and always shines with good humor. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Vic and will definitely return.

Gourmet breakfast, lovely rooms - most with balconies, quiet (no TV's so your neighbor won't be keeping you up with the noise), very gracious hosts (Steve & Karen), walk to shops and shore. Oh yes, excellent cookies and teas in the afternoon and a very nice bedtime apertif on the bedstand.
