A cozy and charming getaway located in historic, seaside Duxbury, Mass. The house is an expanded ship's carpenter Greek Revival Cottage c.1820, nestled on a peninsula with easy access to beaches, biking,sailing,fishing,golf,museums and more. Founded in 1620, Duxbury has developed from ship building and fishing to vacationing. Today it is a beautiful and quaint town within an easy drive to Boston and Cape Cod.
The Powder Point peninsula connects to a five mile long sandy beach by a wooden bridge, said to be the longest of its kind in the United States. Duxbury has received the designation of "Old Shipbuilders District" from the National Register.Because of its history and charm, Duxbury has been referred to as the "Nantucket of the Mainland"...a hidden treasure, without crowds and ferries.
Accommodations include three bedrooms(two with fireplaces)and private baths are available. There are also fireplaces in the living room and dining room, and a screened porch overlooks perennial gardens. The proprietors,Richard and Linda Quigley,are in-residence to assist you.

- Directions from airport:
Route 93 south to route 3 south. Take exit 11 and bear right following route 14 east. Continue through the intersection of route 14 and route 3A. This will be St. George St welcoming you to historic Duxbury. Continue on St. George St. until you reach the water and a "T" intersection with flag pole. Turn left and bear right onto Powder Point Ave. and follow for 1/2 mile to #182 on left.
