Jim and Val are great! My hubby and I stayed one night, WAY off season (February) - we're preparing to move to Cape Cod, and took a night away from the kids to get "chores" done for the move. Jim was waiting at the door as we drove in. If you want to just settle in to your room, he'll let you. But, if you want a ten minute map tour of the Chatham area, complete with shopping, excursion, and restaurant suggestions, he'll do that too! (I recommend the map tour. Jim knows everything!) Fresh cookies, drinks, snacks waiting. A huge selection of DVDs to borrow if you feel like relaxing in your room with a movie (it was winter, after all). The room was absolutely lovely. Well appointed, smartly decorated, clean, cozy, and private. Attention to detail is obvious. Val's breakfast was delicious. Home cooked goodness meets novel presentation. If a Cape Cod B&B is that great in the cold cold winter, I can only imagine how great it is in warmer times! I will tell my family and friends to stay at the Carriage House Inn - it's perfect.

We stayed at the Inn for New years and it was perfect !!! Val and Jim were wonderful hosts !! We've stayed at Inns all over New England and this was deifinitely in our top 3 !!! A short walk to town was so convenient, and the fact that you could see the midnight fireworks perfectly from the Inn was amazing !!! The breakfasts were awesome, all homemade, great variety !! The mimosas New Years day were a very nice touch and were delicious ! ( There were bloody mary's too ) !! We will definitely be back !!

Stayed at Inn for our 25th anniversary. Jim and Val, the hosts/owners went out of their way to make it special. It was our first visit to the Cape, and the Inn and the people were wonderful in every way.

My wife and I took a vacation to Chatham on Cape Cod for our 1st wedding anniversary (Sept. 2013). Needless to say, we were looking for something special to celebrate our first big milestone as a married couple. We looked at many hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts on the Cape before ultimately choosing the Carriage House Inn. We both could not be happier with our decision to stay with Val and Jim (the owners). From the moment we arrived, both Val and Jim were there to help make our anniversary a special experience and ensure that we had everything we needed to make it a pleasant experience. The breakfasts were different and fun every morning, and Val was extremely accommodating to my wife's Gluten/Dairy Allergies. We couldn’t have been more pleased to start out each day there. Jim was kind enough to spend time with us mapping out the local attractions, food establishments, which beaches to go to (as well as avoid) and was always there to answer questions. He even mapped out our entire day trip from Chatham to Provincetown, giving us plenty of great ideas to make our anniversary road trip amazing. The rooms were clean, cozy, and offered much more privacy than your typical B&B. Overall, we can’t say enough positive things about the Carriage House Inn and the owners. We would recommend this B&B to for a first time trip, as well as a return one (we will be returning).

On arriving at the Carriage House Inn, we were warmly greeted by welcoming hosts, Jim and Val. They not only provided us with delicious breakfasts each morning but also useful knowledge of the cape which really personalised our experience. The accommodation was excellent; it was cleaned daily and our room had an en suit bathroom. I would definitely recommend The Carriage House Inn to a friend.
