Carriage House Inn

After decades of travel both domestically and internationally, for my wife and I it boils down to people - how genuine, professional, and reliable are they. Val & Jim Mellett have done a marvelous job in creating an environment that is both beautiful and welcoming. The Inn is pleasing on every level: decor, cleanliness, and charm. Val & Jim are warm, helpful, and create a truly enjoyable experience. Their input regarding restaurants and sightseeing was invaluable, which added to the experience. If we're ever in Cape Cod again, we will definitely be at the Carriage House Inn in Chatham. Ed & Pam San Diego

Have been coming to Chatham for years. Loved the Inn for a quick weekend visit. Jim and Val made us feel right at home and accomodated all of our needs. I especially love the location. It allowed me to take my morning walks all along the beautiful shore road, through town, before few are awake, and up Old Harbor. I felt great afterwards and had time to spare for the great breakfast and afternoon cookies....YUM!! Thanks again for making our stay wonderful and relaxing...Only wish we booked 4 nights instead of 2...see you in August with the kids I hope!! Hugs - L & D from CT

Jim and Val are wonderful Innkeepers! They made us feel right at home and were right there with advice. The room we stayed at was in the carriage house with a fireplace and it was lovely. Everything about the room and bathroom was crisp and clean. And yes it's true, Val makes a wonderful homemade breakfast! Although I'd rather keep this place to myself for future visits, I'd definitely recommend to anyone and everyone! Thanks Jim and Val!

Very nice B&B within walking distance to downtown Chatham and the beaches. Extremely nice owners who were very knowledgable and made you feel very special during your stay. Outstanding food.

Our first time in Cape Cod and we nailed it! The Carriage House is charming and inviting and the hospitality is genuine! Please stay here. You won't be sorry.

We can't say enough about this Inn. From the moment you are greeted at the door there is a sence of comfort and warmth, not to mention this place is immaculate! Linens are high quality and smell great. Shower had great water pressure. Full breakfast was amazing. Pictures show how tastefully this Inn has been decorated, what you don't see is the beautiful grounds, just like out of a story book! Highly recommended to those who appreciate every detail. just stayed at the Carriage House Inn last weekend and had a wonderful time. our hosts, paula and tim, are friendly upbeat people who know exactly what their guests need. we stayed in room 6 which was comfortable and clean, had its own bathroom- (shower stall, no tub), a cozy switch operated fireplace, and flat screen tv with dvd player. an absolutely charming B&B and we will be back here if we're ever in the area again!

Where do I start - Paula and Tim couldn't have been more helpful, and the Inn is beautifully furnished and decorated. Breakfasts were great - well worth getting up for.

This was our fourth visit to the Carriage House Inn and every visit was excellent, but this weekends visit was exceptional !! Paula and Tim's hospitality was superb and full course breakfast was delicious. The Carriage House room that we stayed in was beautifully remodeled. The restaurants and day trips that Paula suggested (complete with directions) were perfect. Thank you for making my birthday the best ever !! Before I left, I also booked the same gorgeous room for my daughter and her husband for their first wedding anniversary in June. Tim and Paula's "Carriage House Inn" is a perfect ten!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Carriage House Inn for a few days on our honeymoon. The room was lovely and private and immaculate. I am only 5 ft. tall and had a hard time getting up into the bed so Paula went out and found me the bed stairs. The breakfasts were wonderful, they recommended restaurants for dinner and made our reservations, great cookies. Our last evening we found a bottle of wine chilling in our bedroom. Truly a delight to be there.

Cozy, delightful, friendly and Exceptionally clean are just a few words that express our stay recently at the Carriage House Inn. This was the first time we stayed at the Carriage House and the room was very cozy and exceptional clean. I can't say enough good things about the innkeepers...Paula made a great choice in dinner reservations for us upon our arrival. She is a sweatheart and goes out of her way to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. Tim on the other hand is a fabulous cook. The two breakfasts we had were absolutley delicious and pleasing to the eye. This stay was so delightful we will be coming back in September and I am so looking forward to it. Thank you Paula and Tim for a memorable stay.

I stayed at this B&B with my husband who had never stayed at a B&B before. We stayed in room 6 in the carriage house which had a fireplace and a great 4 poster bed. My husband was nervous because he thought we were going to stay in someone's house in their "spare" bedroom. Needless to say he really enjoyed his first B&B experience. The next morning he was even more surprised to be served a full breakfast. It was a great first time experience!
