Bunker Hill Bed and Breakfast

  • Inn Details

A Bunker Hill Bed and Breakfast is in a private Victorian home built in 1885, rennovated to the 21st century, and furnished in antiques. There is a patio with a pond and fish, as well as a private deck that can also be used for pleasure or dining, weather permitting. There are two rooms available: the nautical room (off the patio) with a king-size bed and private bath, and the waterfall suite with a double bed and private dressing room and on its own private floor with private bath and jacuzzi. Each room has a telephone, tv/vcr with an extensive video and book library available to guest. Full breakfast is provided, snacks and beverages included at not cost and the coffee/teapot is always on. (limited kitchen priveleges on request). We do not need to charge a hotel tax (13++%) so the price is all inclusive. We are pet and child friendly. YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!! We like out guests including their children and pets to return year after year. Our motto: if you don't have it or see it just ask -- we probably can provide it.

The Bunker Hill B&B was cozy and comfortable (included a Tempurpedic). The owner is very nice and personable and went that extra mile.

Christiana is an excellent hostess. In this age of pre-packaged, impersonal service, the personal touches she brought to her inn-keeping made the experience a true standout. I have never been greeted by a Bed & Breakfast owner with gifts; I have also never been able to speak my native German at a US inn. I tend to gravitate towards the smaller, more intimate spaces that lack the cookie-cutter lack of personality of the bigger hotel chains, but I'd say that during this stay, I really found what it is that I always look for. It's uniqueness & character---which I found in all the antique furnishings & decor--an air of relaxation, which my leisurely morning meal the breakfast nook gave me--and the ability to have a personal connection to a place, and through that experience, good memories. I only spent 3 days there, but they were like a restful retreat. If you're looking for everything to be crisp and sterile and brand new, this is not the place for you, but if you want something special that only character can provide, this just might be your getaway destination of choice as well.

Christianne starts from a different place. this is no slick commercial operation, but a small historic home in which the delightful owner offers two good value rooms. In historic Charlestown, just up the hill from the Bunker Hill Monument you are surrounded by historic property, and have an easy walk down to the Freedom trail. Our room, with a nautical theme was small, but comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast is served in a small space adjoining the deck, and guests can also use the sitting room. Furnished with an eclectic mix of antiques and memorabilia you would be comfortable and well looked after. Note the good value pricing, but do not book if you want fancy frills and extras.
