High Pointe Inn on Cape Cod

We loved all the room! We always like to have a table and chairs to play games on if we choose to do so, as well as a separate place to go read in case one of us can not sleep, then we will not keep the other one awake. This place had both!! Debbie & Rich are very hospitable hosts. They serviced an awesome breakfast every day & gave detail in person & in our rooms of things to do and places to eat. This saved us a lot of time, so we could enjoy what time we had.

We had a lovely weekend at the High Pointe Inn. The place was immaculate, the food was fabulous and the innkeepers were great! We had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before and I was somewhat worried about the level of interaction with strangers. There was no awkward moments at High Pointe. We would defiantly go back and I have already recommended to family members.

We stayed four nights in mid-April and enjoyed every second. The rooms were extremely cosy and clean with a fine attention to details. The hosts were very sweet, proved to be excellent guides to Cape Cod and we are still dreaming about the breakfast creations.

It has been over a decade since our last trip to the Cape, so we weren't sure what to expect. Any concerns immediately disappeared with our stay at the High Pointe Inn. Innkeepers Debbie and Rich went above and beyond with the hospitality, and are simply put....just really nice people! PS..don't forget to try the cookies!

We stayed at High Pointe Inn for two nights. Deb and Rich are wonderful hosts - very friendly, extremely helpful in finding places to visit, great sense of humour. The rooms are spacious the bed quite comfortable; the bathroom full of every accessory you need while traveling. and the view - it is spectacular! I would highly recommend that you stay here!

We stayed 3 nights in the Sand Dollar room late October just before "Sandy" hit & we loved it. Debbie had thought of everything with the facilities available both in the rooms & guest areas. All day tea & coffee, cookies & a night cap to round the evening off with. Rich cooked breakfast (very nice too) Debbie waited on the breakfast table & looked after the guests offering advice & suggestions for the day ahead. Internet & wifi are available at no cost. We'll definitely return.

The High Pointe Inn in Barnstable Ma. is 5 star for seasoned travelers. The rooms are very clean and the innkeepers Rich and Debbie clearly know what they are doing. They have turned breakfast into an art form in presentation, and quality. It is rare today to feel as though you got what you paid for. I am very satisfied with the High Pointe Inn.

From the moment we arrived we felt at home in the most beautiful setting. Debbie and Rich couldn't have been more helpful. The food was fantastic and our room was fabulous. The attention to detail was obvious everywhere and we were sorry when our two night stay was over. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend this B&B without hesitation. This was our first visit to Cape Cod and our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast. Debbie and Rich Howard were the perfect hosts. Breakfast each morning was amazing, with selections from a menu or Rich's "special" of the day. Always select the "special!" The room was comfortable and inviting, with a view of the sunrise each morning. And, when we were ready to explore, Rich and Debbie had great selections for day trips as well as many local eateries. The High Pointe Inn is definitely on our list of places of return visits. If you are going to Cape Cod and looking for a great experience, the High Pointe Inn is the place to stay! My husband and I travelled from England and spent the last two nights of our stay at High Pointe. It was super! The decor of the house and rooms is both characterful and bright. Everywhere was wonderfully clean. Debbie and Rich are excellent hosts and were knowledgeable and helpful on places to visit and dine. Breakfast at High Pointe is a real treat! We can't wait to get back there!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days during our honeymoon. The rooms were perfectly kept in addition to every little detail you may want for a stay on the cape thought of. Everything from beach chairs and towels in the closet for sunny days to umbrellas for those drizzly New England afternoons to binoculars on a coffee table by the window overlooking a small aviary and forest preserve. The location was also ideally placed in Barnstable which is right in the middle of the cape, allowing you to get to ANY point on the cape in no more than an hours drive.

I strongly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful stay in Cape Cod. Debbie and Rich are wonderful host that have everything organized to make your stay a peaceful and relaxing one. If you need any recommendations of where to go in the area, Debbie and Rich have printed cards with directions to take you there the moment you leave the driveway. The breakfast was delicious and they provide you with a menu of great selections to chose from. The presentation of the meals were even perfect! We stayed 5 nights and loved it! The unexpected details (beach chairs, unbrellas and Atlas, to name a few) pushed this B&Bover the top. After fun filled days on the Cape, it was so nice to "come home" and relax. The snacks and breakfasts were awesome! The reviews were what led us here and we don't regret it!

This bed and breakfast is absolutely magnificent! If you want to be totally spoiled and pampered, this is the place to go! It was a wonderful stay. Upon our arrival, Debbie showed us around, and explained all of the Inn's amenities. Our room was decorated in Cape Cod style, and was very comfortable . It had a great view of the marshes, and the room's two comfy lounge chairs looked out over Cape Cod in the distance. The entire Inn was very comfortable and every amenity imagineable was in place. In the late afternoon, goodies are set out in the diningroom; as well as a complimentary liqueur of your choice from the bar to pair with your afternoon treat. They even made Gluten-free brownies just for me, set out daintily with a note saying "Especially for Stephanie",,,,"Gluten Free Brownies". ( By the way, Rich makes scrumptious brownies!) The breakfast choices were extensive, and absolutely delicious...with a warm, slightly damp cloth set out as you finish, to wipe away any last trace of sticky fingers or just to refresh after relaxing over your meal. WOW! (Rich also makes fantastic Gluten free blueberry muffins!) Both Debbie and Rich catered to my Gluten free diet with kindness, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for me. When we mentioned a relaxing, shaded, beautiful spot in their yard; we came back a bit later to find two lounges in the exact location we had merely mentioned, placed there just for us.... Debbie and Rich were so helpful in recommending different sights and restaurants , and were full of fun and interesting anecdotes about the area. They were always available and very friendly, but made sure not to intrude during our stay. The grounds of the Inn are beautiful, as well as the inside....all the way down to the pretty, little rose petal soaps in the powder room downstairs. What a fabulous place, a "must" destination spot if you love staying at bed and breakfasts.

No detail is overlooked by Debbie & Rich. Our oversized guest room offered a distant view of the water, exceptionally comfortable beds and pillows, well appointed bath and much more (like providing collapsable chairs, towels and a bag for the beach, etc). But the breakfast menu and quality (not to mention the portions) were worthy of the finest restaurant around. You've got to try Rich's French toast. David & Debbie - Albany, NY

My husband and I have been to the Cape several times, stayed at several B&B's but none as nice as the High Pointe Inne. The room, deck, breakfast and especially the Inn Keepers, Debbie & Rich made this stay exceptional. We have found our new place on the Cape that we will be going back to year after year. If you're looking for the best, this is "the one".

Our stay at High Pointe was nice. Rooms were clean and B&B tucked in an easily accessible location of Cape Cod. Value met our expectations. Breakfast was good, not outstanding. Website is very well done, but the pictures probably exaggerate beauty of home and immediate surroundings. Overall, a pleasant stay. Best attribute for High Pointe would probably be the very helpful suggestions from Debbie and Rich of things to do and consider while in Cape Cod. They were very helpful in giving specific and detailed directions and options.

The only problem with High Pointe Inn is that is was SO perfect that nothing else in our traveling life will ever measure up. Ever! Debbie and Rich are warm, friendly geniuses at taking care of guests, and their meticulous attention to detail, cleanliness and outstanding food just bowled us over. We'll stay nowhere else on Cape Cod.

My wife and I took our first trip to Cape Cod to celebrate our ten year anniversary. We decided to try out a Bed and Breakfast for the first time as well. Our previous vacations have mostly been to all-inclusive Caribbean locations. I'm so glad we decided to spend it in Cape Cod and that we stayed at the High Pointe Inn. The Innkeepers are awesome people. They truly are detail-oriented and care a great deal about your stay. They have assembled a well-thought and accurate description of the area's activities and have mated it up with a map. All of the recommendations they made to us, including dining, were spot on and we had a great time. The room (Sea Dream) we stayed in was excellent. It was larger than we had expected. Most importantly for us, it was impeccably clean. We have a tempurpedic at home and were concerned to sleep on something else but we both slept like babies. That's easy to do when you get to wake up to a breakfast that my wife said alone would have been worth the trip. Everything at the Inn smells good, everywhere you go. But, nothing smells as good as the breakfast. Rich introduced us to what I will forever think of as "popover paradise." And, that was just the introduction to the breakfast. The coffee was also great. I can't emphasize the breakfast enough. It was SERIOUSLY tasty. We hope to go back sooner rather than later. We also really loved the area of the Cape where the Inn is located. It was not commercialized at all and yet was within a short drive of anything that you would want to do that the Cape has to offer. We really had a great time.

We had such a great time. Debbie and Rich are fabulous, so helpful. The food was amazing and we loved our room. Wish we lived closer and could go back more often!

My wife and I just spent three nights at the High Pointe Inn. This was our second visit and we enjoyed it immensely. The hosts, Debbie and Rich, truly make you feel welcome. The Inn is immaculate. It is a very relaxing time. The breakfasts are superb. So much, and so good, we skipped lunch! They are so helpful in helping you plan your day, in recommending restaurants, and making the reservations for you. We will go back for our third visit.

I took my wife here on a surprise trip on her birthday. Booked the sand dollar room. We both absolutely loved it. The room is very large and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable bed, a writing desk, and a lovely fireplace. It also has a small fridge, which we found helpful to store leftovers from dinner etc. The innkeepers were warm and welcoming, though a little aloof -- perhaps to give us a sense of privacy. The breakfast was exceptional -- hot biscuits with delicious homemade jams; a variety of sweet and savory options on the menu, plus a daily special . The morning we were there the specials were Ebelskivers -- Danish puff pancakes, which honestly tasted much better than the ones I had in Amsterdam! All in all I highly recommend the place and hope to return someday.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the High Pointe Inn this past weekend, and I can't say enough good things about this wonderful place! Debbie and Rich are the most accomodating and welcoming people you'll find in Cape Cod. In fact, if they were to open establishments across the U.S. in every major hotspot, we would make it our goal to stay in each and every one of them! The High Pointe Inn is beautiful and clean. We toured around the Cape and Nantucket, but overall we decided that the highlight of our trip was BREAKFAST! I'm pretty sure if I made Rich's french toast for my boyfriend every morning he'd be the happiest man in the world! Unfortunately, he'll have to wait until we schedule our next trip to the High Pointe Inn. To sum up my review - If you're going to the Cape, stay at the most beautiful, relaxing, clean, delicious, welcoming bed and breakfast they have - the High Pointe Inn!

We stayed for one night at the High Pointe Inn and we enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. The room is romatically furnished and the house is situated in a calm and beautiful area of cape cod. In the room even binoculars were provided for bird watching. We found it really relaxing after spending five days in New York City. Beside the beautiful beach, only 10 minutes drive away from the house, the breakfast was the highlight of our stay. Amazing!

My weekend stay at the High Pointe Inn was exceptional, pleasant, relaxing..perfect. It was clean and spacious and the attention to detail was impeccable. Debbie was very sweet and helpful and Rich was friendly as well as an outstanding chef! The breakfast was definitely some of the best I've ever had. We plan on returning to the High Pointe Inn. All B&B's should be measured against the standards of the High Pointe Inn. They have thought of everything. We stayed at the Inn for five days and were never disappoined, Debbie & Rich were the the most warm and hospitable innkeepers. They thought of everything. The location was perfect, quiet and away from the crowds, but close enough to get to the sites. Room was beautiful and every effort made with the attention to detail to make us feel very pampered and welcome. Many touches including the hand made guidebooks with places to see and nearby necessities and restaurants was extremely helpful. Breakfast was to die for, like a 5 star restaurant right down to the plate decor, heated coffee mugs and warm hand towels to freshen up after the meal. A first class Inn.

We have stayed at High Pointe several times in different rooms. Our favorite is Sea Dream. Each room is relaxing and cozy as is the entire Inn. The Innkeepers are warm, welcoming and accommodating. Breakfasts are out of this world.

Although not the "classic" (i.e. antique B&B) that we're accustomed to visiting, the High Pointe Inn far exceeded our expectations. This purpose built inn is a beautiful, modern, clean and contemporary home away from home for guests. The innkeepers, Rich and Debbie, are delightful, helpful, friendly, and entertaining. Always willing to offer suggestions, but not overpowering nor omni-present. Breakfast is from a menu of options that Rich prepares to order and all items were delicious. Although we only had two and a half days, we were able to enjoy a warm fire in our room, a bottle of wine on the deck, and two wonderful breakfasts. Aside from the breakfast with other guests, it felt like we had the house to ourselves. Coffee and cookies available through the day, and cordials after dinner. I'm usually very picky, but honestly cannot say a negative thing about our stay. We booked room #1, which is furnished with a queen size bed. In the room we found a mini-fridge, wine glasses, corkscrew, and napkins. Also in the room, beach towels, chairs, umbrella (both sun and rain) and a tote bag (we visited in October, so beach items went unused). Steamer chairs with pads were on the semi-private deck. If you're looking for a quiet time on Cape Cad, consider this wonderful inn. Away from traffic, but a close drive to both Sandwich and Barnstable. P.S. My wife was most pleased with the recommendation for a bike ride along the Shining Sea trail to Woodshole. We would have never discovered this on our own.

The best B & B we stayed on our trip through the New England States. Large and very comfortable room with also large bathroom; the innkeeper have been excellent hosts and made us feel at home. This place is highly recommended by any means.

Debbie and Rich were more than accommodating with their site seeing information for the local area and provide insight based on best cost options for our daily trips.

The hosts are very helpful in supplying area information to the guests. The breakfasts are outstanding. Most try the "special" French toss. The host is also very generous in sharing their receipt. It will be nice if the coffee could be a bit stronger.

The second floor room with private bathroom were spacious with a great view of Sandy Neck. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of room to relax without being "over-the-top" (i.e. no jacuzzi, fireplace etc. that we don't need/want). The breakfasts were very, very good and our hosts, Debbie and Rich were extremely helpful and prepared for everything (reading glasses, umbrellas, written directions already prepared for almost everywhere within reason). The ONLY flaw was that the bedding was not as comfortable as we would have preferred (mattress was not very supportive). We will be back!

Rich and Debbie made my stay an excellent experience. Not only was the Inn outstanding their knowledge and help in finding out of the way restaurants and locations was invaluable.

Debbie and Rich were very welcoming. Our bedroom and bathroom were quite large and relaxingly quiet! Everything is in this bed and breakfast, that you could possibly imagine. The afternoon cookies and iced tea was refreshing upon arrival. The bird watching, along with the binoculars and bird books, was great--the view was spectacular. Restful sleep is easy here. Breakfast was absolutely delectable--Rich, thanks for the recipe--it was as big a hit at home!! Yummo!! We would definitely return to High Pointe Inn!

My husband and I stayed at the Inn (in the Tree Tops Suite) for two nights in July. We were wishing for several more nights. The inn was perfect, everything so clean and comfortable. Even better were the breakfasts in the delightful dining room, enjoying conversation and delicious food with other guests. We could have lingered there for hours. It truly was that comfortable and lovely! Rich and Debbie were superb hosts. We cannot wait to go back. But it is a long way from Montana . . . . . .

After reading all of the wonderful comments about High Pointe, we did have high expectations..... Luckily for us, Both the property and amazing attention to detail of Debbie and Rich we even better than we had expected. A truly delightful place to stay. Immaculate throughout, first class breakfast, spacious and well appointed rooms, fantastic deck area, vast collection of guides and information, Beautiful setting and location. Perfect spot to explore Cape Cod. As for our hosts, we were made to feel at home from the minute we arrived. They managed to find the perfect balance between being extremely helpful / informative, but at the same time allowed you the space to enjoy your stay at your own pace. We recently stayed 3 nights at the High Pointe Inn. Everything you could want was taken care of. From the wonderful breakfast (served on the deck, weather permitting), to the helpful innkeepers, everything was wonderful. Debbie & Rich were very helpful in suggesting restaurants and ferry service to the islands. We enjoyed getting to know the other guests (there are only 4 rooms), and one couple was there for their third stay. We will definitely return.

The High Point Inn was a perfect place to spend our honeymoon! We felt so relaxed and welcomed by the inn keepers, Debbie and Rich. They are fantastic hosts! The homemade breakfasts were the perfect way to start each day of our stay. Our room had a beautiful view and was a wonderful place to come and rest after a days outing in the very quaint neighboring towns near the inn. A beautiful porch overlooking the back patio was were we spent one of our most relaxing afternoon and were treated to a champagne toast by our warm and welcoming hosts. It was the sweetest one, so far! Overall, the entire experience was magical!

My husband and I were given the gift of a two night stay at the High Pointe Inn for our FIRST Wedding anniversary and our stay was just lovely! The weather was all fog and gray, but the service, room, and breakfast served helped us to trully enjoy our time away! Debbie and Rich were the perfect Inn Keepers, there when you needed them and hidden when you wanted to feel alone. The breakfast served both mornings we were there was delish and we were full and happy straight through lunch. Thanks very much for a very memorable time! We will be back!

Most gracious b&b or inn owners we've ever encountered! Right down to the beach towels, beach chairs, and beach bag in our room! Large, comfortable, and clean rooms. Lovely deck to use even if your room doesn't have a private deck. Okay, the coffee could be stronger and breakfast served a wee bit earlier, but we'd definitely go back!

The High Pointe was an excellent getaway. Rich and Debbie were excellent hosts and I would highly recommend to family and friends. The breakfasts were amazing and the rooms were ultra clean. Rich and Debbie have added convenient user-friendly amenities that make it a home away from home.

If I had to sum up the experience at the High Pointe Inn this would be it: incredible attention to detail. The property itself is stunning with well maintained greenery and common areas. Throughout the residence you'll find small puzzles, local art pieces & other small details that show how much the innkeepers care about curating their guest experience. The rooms themselves... truly outstanding. Not much else to stay except it rivals top end resorts we've stayed at elsewhere in the world. Breakfast each morning was a treat - the food was superb. French toast is a must have but don't ignore the daily specials! One of our favorite things about the Inn was that the owners helped us plan trips, activities, etc. We felt like they went out of their way constantly to make sure our visit exceeded expectations. Will we go back? Absolutely.

We have just returned to the UK, having spent three excellent days in Cape Cod, staying at High Pointe Inn . We only wish we could have stayed longer. We made an excellent choice in deciding to stay at the Inn on our first visit to the Cape and we will most certainly return. It is so relaxing, the location is fantastic and hopitality welcoming. The rooms are tastefully furnished and very comfortable, and the breakfasts - we just couldn't make up our minds what to have - top marks awarded here! the High Pointe website is certainly true to its word. Rich and Debbie are full of advice and tips on where to explore and make the most of your time on the Cape. Debbie's detailed itineraries are second to none with accompanying map references, we explored some fantastic areas which we would have missed without help!We travelled to the top of the Cape , explored the beautiful Atlantic coastline and lovely towns. I would recommend the Inn to anyone without hesitation

We recently spent part of our "babymoon" at the High Pointe Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room we had was beautiful, with cathedral ceilings, an oversized bathroom, and private access to the back deck. We were very impressed by the comforts of our stay and our hosts' hospitality. Breakfast was excellent each morning, and the evening nightcaps were greatly appreciated. Definitely would stay again!

After our third stay at the High Pointe Inn it's clear why this is our favorite B+B. We feel welcome from the moment we walk in the door. Debbie and Rich are warm and personable hosts and their attention to every detail assures a pleasant and relaxing experience for their guests. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet, and each one reflects Debbie's considerable design sense. Rich's fantastic breakfasts are always a highlight. A variety of delicious choices are offered each morning (unique omelets, fruit pancakes, rich French toast) and the popovers are killer. Attention to detail? ... even the coffee mugs are warm! When heading out for the day, Rich and Debbie are ready with recommendations for interesting destinations, special events, and noteworthy dining spots. By the end of your stay you will know that these folks have a genuine passion for what they do.

This is not my first experience with a Bed and Breakfast, but all other stays will be judgeby this experience from this point on. From the time I arrived till my departure, the owners, Rich and Debbie could not have been more helpful. Thier personality and obvious enthusiasm for thier "job" was refreshing. The accomadations were truly something to look forward to. It was easy to see that the owner's were very much invested in thier property. Last, but certainly not least, was the breakfast excellently prepared by Rich and graciously presented by Debbie. It was a difficult task each morning deciding between all of the options presented on the menu, but I would have to say that the French Toast was my favorite. All in all everything about our stay was excellent, and I will have no trouble recommending the Highpointe Inn to my family and friends. Can't wait to return to Cape Cod and the Highpointe Inn.

Last weekend we had a wonderful weekend at The Highpointe Inn. The innkeepers were very helpful and knowledgeable of the Cape. The weather was not stellar but Debbie and Rich suggested some short hikes which worked out to be a good way to spend an overcast day. The breakfast they offer is wonderful and beautifully presented. The inn is in a beautiful setting. The furnishings are nicely done... very relaxing. The bed was horrible. It felt like we were sleeping on someone's pullout sofa. And we had the room over the kitchen. The voices from there carried right into our room. And room darkening shades would have been nice on the large windows. We had a couple's in-room massage that was well worth the $. Overall it was a nice weekend, but a few more comforts would have been nice for the cost.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming B & B. Richard & Deborah are the best innkeepers we have encountered. They are personable, extremely helpful and meticulous in the way the B&B is maintained. The breakfasts are absolutely divine! I will definitely recommend High Pointe to my friends.

We spent three days at High Pointe Inn during Easter 2011. High Pointe Inn was an excellent choice for comfort, location, hospitality and overall service. It was an ideal base for us to explore Cape Cod. But you do need to have a car. That enabled us to travel to the top of the Cape (Provincetown), explore the beautiful Atlantic coastline and lovely towns such as Chatham and the Hyannis area, dine at several excellent local resturants, and comfortably return to High Pointe for the evening. The hosts are warm, informative and easy company.

Such a wonderful and relaxing time away. Betty and Rich made sure that every detail was taken care of...the breakfast was outstanding, the rooms were clean and bright. We will make sure to visit the High Pointe again!

I cannot praise Debbie & Rich enough they were the perfect hosts - we thouroughly enjoyed our stay and thought it was the ideal base to explore the Cape Cod area. Everywhere was so clean it was as if we were the first people to stay there and everything was brand new !! The breakfasts were lovely and what a good idea for everyone to sit around the same table. I must admit we were surprised to see the one dining table, but it worked really well and we chatted with some lovely people over breakfast. We would definately stay there again if we were in the area.

The High Pointe Inn is without doubt head and shoulders above most (if not all) bed & breakfasts. It's a real treat to stay there. You immediately feel at home--with many thanks to Rich & Debbie. Again: why don't we go more often?

Despite the gloomy weather, the atmosphere at the Inn was warm and bright. Accomidations were spotless, comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was fantastic. The innkeepers were very friendly, but unobtrusive. Gave many great suggestions - what to do, where to eat. We'll go back for sure.

This has been my first Bed&Breakfast and every other B&B I should ever stay at will have to live up to my experience at The Hight Pointe Inn. Spacious, lovingly decorated and comfortable room; friendly and always helpful hos, lots of amenities and then these breakfasts... Halfway through my weeklong stay I caught myself counting the days left and the dishes not yet tried. Debbie and Rich truly left nothing to be desired.

The Inn is one of the best vaction destinations we have had. No detal was left out, from the fabulous breakfast, a list of near by resterants, things of interest, or a warm mug for your coffee. We will be sure to return.

After a warm and genuine welcome, Debbie and Rich went about making our stay a memorable one. Great and immaculate rooms, fabulous breakfast, great and unexpected details (who thinks to actually put stamps on post cards for you?), and a warm and homelike atmosphere. Go there! I know we'll be bach.

Debbie and Rich must have a special relationship with the gods of weather. We stayed for two nights over NYE and had two glorious days of balmy 60 degree weather to walk the beautiful beaches of the Cape. The High Pointe Inn is a real find! We shared the adventure with another couple and we were all in agreement that we would return. The Inn offers everything that you might want for sojurn on the Cape. It's beautifully decorated, rooms are very large, lots of amenities, breakfast was superb and, very important, Debbie and Rich are entertaining and attentive hosts. We give the experience an A+++. This was my first trip to the Cape Cod area. My boyfriend and I chose to spend my birthday weekend at High Pointe Inn, also my first bed and breakfast experience. We had an AMAZING time. Debbie and Rich were wonderful hosts. They provided us with great recommendations about what to do and see in the area, and of course what restaurants to visit. The room was so beautiful, and we especially loved the wood-burning fireplace. The breakfasts were incredible as well, both in presentation and in taste. And all of the additional attention to detail, such as the warm coffee mugs, the bottles of sparkling wine in our fridge to celebrate my birthday, the after-dinner drinks, etc. were all so wonderful. I would highly recommend the High Pointe Inn to family and friends, and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

To wake up each morning to the view out of our bedroom window was just magical. The birds on the bird table,viewed through the binoculars provided, and identified from the bird book also provided,was such a lovely touch. The hundreds of different colours of all the trees were spectacular and the smell of a scumptious breakfast wafting upstairs is all anybody could wish for. Debbie and Rich are the perfect hosts helpful, knowledgeable and great fun. We stayed in four B&B's and two hotels on our trip around new England and this B&B was by far the best. _

My wife and I stayed at the High Pointe Inn this past weekend (10/16-10/18). The home and rooms were both spotless and spacious. The innkeepers were very hospitable and quick to offer up ways to spend our days and even had directions prepared for just about anywhere in the Cape you'd want to go. They had every detail covered. Their breakfast rivals some of the best we've had! We would definitely recommend the High Point Inn to anyone looking to visit the Cape!

We had a wonderful visit! Deb and Rich were wonderful Inn Keepers, very hospitable. The Inn was beautiful and the view was gorgeous. The food was absolutely amazing!!! The breakfasts were so beautiful we almost hated to eat them.. but we did. :-) The food was as tasty as it looked. Martha Stewart better watch out! Our room was lovely with every last detail. Deb and Rich thought of everything!!! No detail was missed. 1. They had an area with liquors if anyone wanted a drink to top off the night. 2. They had information available on any local restaurants. 3. They have a computer available for people to use if they need to find information on the internet. I could go on, but you get the idea. This is by far the best Inn that I have been to.

The High Pointe Inn was FANTASTIC! My boyfriend found the B&B using an online search therefore we had only the site information & pictures. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to the home and found it so "perfect." The description & pictures online do not do High Point justice. Richard & Debi are lovely host's and truly provide "at home" touches. The home & gardens, plus the dog Kasey, provide the most tranquil environment. Furthermore, the many breakfast items (French Toast, Blueberry Pancakes, Specialty Omelets) are truly out of this world! We intend to return again next year for another "therapeutic" get away.

High Pointe Inn is a unique & fabulous B & B. The decor of our Treetop Suite was exquisite & most comfortable. The ambiance between guests at the breakfast table was a wonderful & stimulating free-flow of interesting conversation in a very relaxed setting. Rich's meticulous food preparation was a delectable feast. (Don't miss his scrumptious pop-overs!). The most important ingredient in our having a superb holiday was the personality & caring attitude of Deb & Rich. No detail was too small to enhance our enjoyment. They are very special people. Nous avons quitté le Inn ce matin, juste avant l'arrivée de l'Ouragan Earl avec la ferme intention d'y revenir. Demander à Rich de vous faire les French toast, l'omelette mexicaine. Et les muffins, popovers, biscuits de Debbie. Wow, un grand plaisir pour les yeux et le palais. Ce Inn nous donne l,impression d'être à la maison puisque tout l'étage soit la salle à manger, les deux salons sont consacrés aux visiteurs. Nous recommandons cet endroit sans hésiter. We had a wonderful two night stay at the High Pointe Inn in Barnstable on Cape Cod. The Inn surpassed our expectations. The innkeepers, Debbie and Rich, were lovely hosts. Our room as spacious, bright and well appointed. We did have a great view towards the ocean. We enjoyed visiting with the other guests; it was a relaxed atmosphere, not at all stuffy. We will definitely stay there again when we go to Cape Cod. It was easy to get to the beaches on the ocean side plus Barnstable is not so commercialized as other Cape towns - nice shops and restaurants but not over built.

A fabulous place to stay! The food was delicious. The Innkeepers provided a very detailed notebook of area attractions and itineraries for use while staying at the Inn. Very hospitable.

Our stay at the High Pointe Inn was one of our best over years. We`ve travelled a lot around the world, but the atmosphere with Debbie and Rich was something special. We really found friends over there because it was so familiar and polite. Also the breakfast was delicious, the rooms always clean and comfortable, no question which hasn`t been answered, no tip which was perfect. It couldn`t have been better or as we would say in German: " Es haette nicht besser sein koennen !" Thanks a lot again and - we will return one day - for sure !!!

We really enjoyed our stay and will be back as soon as we can arrange another holiday there. The hosts have paid attention to every detail to make a relaxing, luxurious stay for us.

Every bit of out experience at the High Pointe Inn was fantastic. Owners, Rich & Debbie are two of the most delightful people you will ever meet. They truly thought of everything. From the personal greeting with the best oatmeal raisin cookies you will ever have to the smooth checkout. They make you feel like family the entire time. The location was ideal; serene and secluded away from the heavy traffic ecspecially on July 4th! The Inn's landscaping was beautiful and imaculate. The rooms were pristine and refreshed everyday. As all the reviews say the breakfast is incredible, with new specials each morning, you will not be disappointed. One morning we had to leave early to catch a ferry and they had prepared breakfast to go for us, amazing! Rich & Debbie are a wealth of information about Cape Cod and the surrounding areas. They have compiled a great binder with this information in your room, but were always more than happy to answer any questions you may have. They definately helped us avoid some pitfalls and recommended some great restaurants in the Cape & Nantucket. I am sure I am forgetting something, but in summary if you are coming to Cape Cod stay at the High Pointe Inn where no detail is forgotten! I would recommend to anyone!

Cleanest BnB we've ever been to. I don't think I could get my house this clean if I tried! Breakfast was excellent, accentuated by the finest local ingredients. (The jams were outstanding!) Debbie and Rich leave no detail behind. Four thumbs up from this couple.

We stayed only one night there, but after one night we felt as having been guest for a longer period. Our room with the view was brilliant, totally clean in excellent conditions. The owners were both very sympathetic and we had a brilliant breakfast and several other small amenities you are not used to. We will really go there again.

As unassuming as the outside appears, Debbie and Rich are clearly experienced Innkeepers, and the place shows it! Every detail in place, every convienience provided! The house was well laid out and the rooms very neat. The bathrooms compared favorably to any 4 -seasons i've stayed at for cleanliness and appointments- without being over-done. While this bed and breakfast may not be located right on the ocean, it's neatly tucked away from the beach hubbub, is only minutes from the ocean, and offers a great hilltop view of the ocean that on a clear day sees all the way out to Provincetown. Deb and Rich are great hosts and make a fantastic breakfast for you in the mornings. We had a great time and already have plans to come back soon...

Our stay earlier this week at High Pointe Inn was one we will be talking about for a long, long time. Debbie and Rich were the perfect combination of professionalism and friendliness. From the moment we arrived it was like being with family. They love it when the guests mingle in the living room and sitting rooms. In the evening the bar was open and it was nice to sit and relax with a cocktail. We talked about taking the ferry to Nantucket and right away they suggested that they would book it on line and all we had to do is show up. The tickets were booked through the Inn and we didn't have to pay anything until we checked out. It was great. We even saved $10.00 for parking because they pre-booked this for us. I have celiac disease and I was allowed to bring my own gluten free pancake mix and english muffins. Rich prepared them along with the other foods on the menu and they were perfect. My husband loved the breakfast and to my surprise it was almost too much for him to eat some mornings. The food is so good and very beautifully presented. Hot, colorful, healthy, tasty, plentiful, pretty much sums it up. The spacious room and common areas made us feel like we were staying in a luxury private home. Book this B&B and you will be raving about it just like I am. lol Rich and Debbie are in their element, they really have thought of everything. The place is spotless and wonderful, what are you waiting for book this for your next time away.

My husband and I were guests of the High Pointe Inn for two evenings and without sounding repetitious, Inkeepers Debbie & Rich Howard were outstanding hosts. You can truly feel their passion for what they do - as it is displayed throughout their home. When we settled into our room it was quiet, peaceful and very calming. I recently attended my girlfriend's family reunion on the Cape, and we came across this gem doing our online research. We read the extensive reviews, and thought, "OK, we'll do it, but don't believe everything you read." That last statement is very true in this case, because our experience at the High Pointe Inn exceeded all expectations. The quiet serene location, the merticulous gardens, and the accomodations (we stayed in the Seascape Room) were first rate! The room was spotless, and felt like you were truly a guest in someone's beautiful home. Debbie and Rich save the best for the morning, with an incredible array of five-star breakfast choices. The bed and Breakfast was excellent. The breakfast was perfect. Innkeepers Debbie and Rich are fun, friendly and do everything possible to make you feel welcome and stress free. We will be back.

We received a gift two-night stay at the High Pointe Inn for our 21st wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived at this beautiful bed & breakfast until we left, Rich and Debbie have pampered us like royalty. The hotel sits nestled on a picturesque hill with a unique distant view of Cape Cod Bay. We stayed in the Moonglow Room - the amenities were superb! The morning breakfasts were awesome! Rich is an excellent cook. We had his delicious Popovers to start breakfast - light, golden-brown and mouth-watering; add some butter and cranberry jam made from Cape Cod cranberry bogs leaves you wanting more! I had an omelette with everything on it - ABSOLUTELY THE BEST OMELETTE I'VE EVER TASTED!!!!! Gourmet coffee (and decaf) and assorted tea to pour in heated mugs. At the end of breakfast, Debbie brought out warm moist hand towels served on wooden cradles for each of us - Rich and Debbie spared nothing in attention to every detail. I work with computers, so having wi-fi access from our room was excellent - very good connection such that I was able to download an upgrade for my laptop! (for you computer buffs out there) Rich and Debbie are a wonderful couple and very helpful with touring suggestions - they even offered to make reservations for anyplace we wanted to go. They are a wonderfully happy couple and enjoy hosting their bed and breakfast - and it shows! I could write a whole lot more, but I'll say you'll have to spend some time there to truly experience five-star hotel quality service that we enjoyed there. To Rich & Debbie, thank so much for your "above and beyond service". We hope to spend some time at High Pointe Inn again and again. Every single aspect of our stay was perfect. I can't think of event the smallest item that did not exceed our expectations. The single best out of town stay we have ever experienced. This inn made our vacation.

Saw the ad for High Pointe on line and thought," why drive all the way north to NH or Maine for a relaxing couple of days when we can drive less than an hour?" Rich and Debbie were awesome hosts answering questions and serving a tremendous breakfast. Our room was great with a very nice view. There are many great restaurants in the area for you to dine at and you are one exit away from the Hyannis mall for a shopping trip. We highly recommend a stay at the High Pointe Inn !!!!

From the time we arrived until the time we left, there was never a detail that was overlooked. Rich and Deb are the hosts with the most- warm, friendly, and most attentive. The Inn is quaint and lovely with many little extra touches to make it a wonderful place to visit. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer.

My husband and I chose the High Pointe Inn for our "babymoon". We were blown away by how warm and welcoming Debbie and Rich were. Everything about our stay was perfect- from the amazing breakfasts to the impeccable room. We will recommend the Inn to our friends and family and can't wait to return!

Having just returned from five days at the High Pointe Inn in late December, we felt compelled to share our winter perspective of this inn. We arrived after dark on December 27th and the candles in the windows and twinkling live Christmas tree immediately made us feel at home. Innkeeper Rich Howard met us at the door and helped us with our luggage as he showed us around the inn. It is truly an exceptionally peaceful and beautiful place. The rooms are decorated in what I call "Pottery Barn" style (ummm...wonderful) and the entire inn is absolutely immaculate. Our room was the red room upstairs, which we soon began referring to as our sanctuary. It is a very spacious room with a large picture window overlooking dunes, marshes and with a view of the distant sea. Binoculars and a bird book are provided along with comfortable seating to enjoy the outdoors from the warmth of the room. Our room also had a cozy reading area, a writing nook, and a beautiful spa-like bathroom with granite counters and a vessel sink. Other in-room amenities included a refrigerator, beach chairs (we didn't need those), robes (needed those), wine glasses, dvd player, bottled water, plush towels, and even an atlas...which we took with us each day as we explored the Cape. It was so nice to know where we were returning to each evening. Rich's nightly treat of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and hot coffee were an added nice touch. And the breakfasts...we can't say enough about them. Top of the line. Delectable. Gourmet. The best ever. The High Pointe Inn is the most exceptional inn we have ever had the pleasure of frequenting. We highly recommend it and are looking forward to experiencing it from a spring, summer and fall perspective!

The lovely room with relaxing color scheme and beautiful picture window overlooking the dunes and bay made me feel at peace with the world. Breakfasts at the High Pointe exceeded anything I've had at a B&B...and I have stayed in many in the US and abroad. And the gracious hosts ensure a remarkable stay.

Having never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, we arrived at HIgh Pointe Inn with no expectations, but a lot of hope that we had made a good decision. We could not have hoped for anything more. The friendliness or the owners and their desire to accomodate their guests exceeded any expectations we might have had. Our room was beautiful. The view was wonderful. Just to lie in bed and look out of the window brought one a sense of peace. At breakfast, you were made to feel that you were royalty. This experience truly added to our first visit to Cape Cod. If we are lucky enough to return to this area, we will not consider staying anywhere else.

I highly recommend the High Pointe Inn. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inn is beautiful both inside and out. It is exquisitely decorated, yet comfortable, and it is extemely clean. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with wild flowers and gardens. The view from the upstairs rooms is terrific, and the deck off of the downstairs rooms are comfortable is relaxing. The attention to detail throughout the inn was amazing, Rich and Debbie didn't miss a thing. Speaking of Rich and Debbie, they are fantastic innkeepers. They are gracious and hospitable; extremely accommodating; have a great sense of humor; make you feel comfortable, welcome and right at home. We loved their yellow lab, Casey, as well, having Casey around truly made the inn feel like a home. My husband and I both agree that of all the inns and B&Bs we've stayed at over the years, we both felt most comfortable at the High Pointe Inn. We will definitely visit again, and will highly recommned it to friends and family.

My husband and I recently returned from our first stay at the High Pointe Inn on Cape Cod in the town of West Barnstable. It was a wonderful experience from the minute we walked in the door up until the time we sadly had to leave. Everything was superb - the warm and welcoming innkeepers, the perfect accomodations, the gourmet breakfasts, and the ideal location. We hope to return to this fantastic "home away from home"!

Rich and Debbie have the B&B concept all figured out. Welcoming and friendly, they go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. I spent two nights at the High Pointe Inn for my "mini" honeymoon and have absolutely no regrets or complaints.

Rich and Debbie are great Innkeepers. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality is wonderful. They are helpful with planning your trip if you ask and were spot on with all of their recommendations. The Inn is one of the nicest that I have ever stayed in through my many travels. They offer many amenities that other places do not even consider offering and their breakfasts alone are worth the stay. I have already recommended the High Pointe to others and always will. My husband and I wanted a nice place to relax before our baby (I am 34 weeks preganant) and this was the perfect place.

We have experienced High Pointe Inn on many occassions and each time we cannot wait to return again. The Howards are attentive hosts/innkeepers, and we enjoy very minute we spend with them. Taking our chances by finding a B&B on the internet was a bit of a concern for us. However, our concern was put to rest upon arrival at the High Pointe Inn in Cape Cod. It was more than we expected as far as location, service, and breakfast menu. It was hosted by wonderful innkeepers who each have a gift of hospitality. They were helpful in suggesting tours, sight seeing and fine dining in the area. We will treasure the memories made possible by our stay at the Inn and will look forward to another stay in the future.

Staying at The High Poine Inn is like being at your own home, comfortable, warm, inviting and very enjoyable. Our weekend away at the High Pointe Inn exceeded even our high expectations. Our room was beautiful and what a view! The bathroom had all the comforts of home. The breakfast was exceptional! Debbie and Rich were such gracious host they treated us like family! It was such a nice peaceful weekend we can't wait to return!

Debbie and Rich were terriffic hosts. They thought of everything. The breakfasts were excellent, their recommondations for restaurants and area attractions were great. I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels for business. When it came time for a vacation, I really wanted to stay some place that I knew was walk-barefoot-on-the-carpet clean so that my husband and I could relax and feel at home. The High Point Inn was immaculate! We really enjoyed our stay.

Debbie and Rich couldn't have been better hosts or made us feel more welcome. They had to pop out for a wee while and told us to help ourselves from the bar! We are seasoned travellers but the room we stayed in was by far the most beautiful room we have ever been lucky enough to have and the view over the autumn foliage to the ocean was breathtaking! When my internet access failed Rich lent me his lap-top and tried to get mine working again. They couldn't have done more for us and if we are lucky enough to return to The Cape we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Hospitality second to none!

We have stayed at the High Pointe Inn three years running now, and are already looking forward to our stay in 2009. Debbie and Rich have though of all the details to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Their attention to detail is remarkable. And as Innkeepers, they go out of their way to ensure their guests have a memorable stay. We would not dream of staying anywhere else!

We live 10 minutes from the High Pointe Inn, but don't need to go any further for one of the most fabulous bed & breakfasts in the USA or overseas that we have found. We plan to return soon- this is a very special place with very special owners.

Rich and Debbie look impeccably to every detail. Everything from the room to breakfast was flawlessly executed. We would recommend a stay at the High Pointe to anyone visiting the Cape. Their recommendations of things to do and see were spot-on at every turn. Debbie has even created a journal of sorts for guests with recommendations of activities that they have done themselves. Wow!

We only stayed for one night, but Debbie and Rich were great. Our room was meticulous and roomy. Wish we could've stayed longer. Can't wait to return.
