We welcome you to The Birches located near Amherst, Smith, Hampshire and Mt. Holyoke Colleges and the University of Massachusetts.....a perfect place to stay while visiting the colleges, attending a conference or visitng friends. We offer two accomodations: The Emily Dickinson Room with queen bed,and the Robert Frost Room with twin beds. We are a small intimate setting, and often join our guests for breakfast where good conversation and friendships flourish.

From center of Amherst, travel south on Route 116 approximately 2 miles. Turn left at the Hess Station onto Pomeroy Lane. Go to stop sign and turn right onto Middle Street. We are #236 on the left.

Take Int. 91 North to Exit 19 and follow Rt. 9 East into Amherst Center. Turn right onto Rt. 116 South and continue as directed below.
