Inn Details
The Mansion House is a lovely waterfront planter's residence located in the Eastern Shore village of Public Landing. The house overlooks a broad expanse of Chincoteague Bay with Assateague Island looming in the distance. Built around 1835 by landowner and Judge Ara Spence, the Mansion House has been carefully restored to its original charm and beauty. The four guest rooms are uniquely decorated with just the right combination of comfort and style, all with private bath, fireplace, queen bed and Swedish Pressure Relieving Mattress. Begin your stay with afternoon refreshments and awake to a full gourmet breakfast served in the dining room. Guests are invited to socialize in the great room, curl up with a good book in the parlor, or simply relax on one of our spacious porches. Enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the Chincoteague Bay or a moonlight stroll along the waterfront. Escape from life's hectic pace and surround yourself in the warmth and comfort of The Mansion House.
