My wife and I needed a quiet getaway and we found it at the Ruffled Duck Inn, Oxford MD. Joyce and Dennis are friendly, outgoing and great company. We spent the night upstairs in the Savannah room... huge, comfortable bed with private bath...very cozy. Downstairs, the living room has a comfortable couch, a fireplace and a nice flat-screen if you want to keep up with the news. My favorite room was the sitting room/library. Complete with coffee/tea/cocoa, this small cozy room welcomes you right in. What's better than kicking back with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa on a cool night?! Nice people. Comfortable accomodations. The Ruffled Duck Inn is a great place to unwind! P.s. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet Joyce and Dennis' pup - "Babe" !

We enjoyed the service, food, meeting new friends, the inkeepers, the history, and privacy of The Ruffled Duck Inn. We felt blessed to have met Dennis and Joyce and consider them friends for eternity. We were refreshed as we left their beautiful and relaxing inn. The summer weekend stay will be remembered as one of our best.

Ruffled Duck is so comfortable and homesy but with the added touches of service and smiles. We felt good not being terribly stuffy and truely relaxed doing casual porch sitting, reading, went biking, and eating around town...yum! Best short vacation in a long while!

Dennis and Joyce provided outstanding accomodations and a homemade breakfast that was beyond compare! We had great conversation with the other guests at breakfast, and especially enjoyed our extended conversation with the Inn keepers. The rooms were nicely decorated for Valentine's Day with chocolates and a pleasant aperitif. This B&B has a warm and comfy feel with its fireplace in the living room and candles in the library. All of these amenities at a very affordable price!
