We were able to stay just one overnight at this lovely Bed and Breakfast. It is a lovely home, beautifully decorated and well kept. The owners were wonderful hosts and breakfast was delicious. David and Susan went out of their way to accommodate our late arrival, which we truly appreciated.

The Wayside Inn is a historic home in Ellicot City, MD that offers tons of history, unfortunately unless you read about it the Innkeeper will only give you a very brief summary. The Inn offers five unique and beautiful rooms, which feature cable tv and comfortable bedding. As expected in a home this age, the floors and step squeak, but this adds to charm. We stayed in the Pierpoint Suite, which is the original master bedroom of the home and offers a comfortable sitting room and large bathroom with two person jetted shower. The bed is a bit high, but a step stool is provided. The first floor is beautiful, with the exception of the kitchen which the Innkeepers have some personal belongings. There are a few minor maintenance issues. With a few hours of work, and some additional hospitality training this Inn could be the gem of Ellicot City.

One of our favorite parts about the Wayside Inn has always been our interaction with David and Susan, the innkeepers. Their presence would have made our weekend more perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wayside Inn Bed & Breakfast. David greeted us upon our arrival and was a fantastic host. We would most definitely stay at Wayside again if we find ourselves in the Baltimore area.

It was one of the nicer B & Bs, though the location is not quite as quaint as I had expected. A very busy highway and sound wall are across the street. Beyond that, the house and yard are beautiful; and the breakfast, superb.
This ground level room, which is contained in a new addition attached to the original Inn, has its own private entrance from a private terrace. When the weather is nice, enjoy the terrace overlooking the gardens and pond, enjoy a glass of wine and an afternoon snack (provided by your innkeeper upon request) or just sit and enjoy a good book from our library. The room has a Queen sized bed which faces a gas fireplace and a large Hi Def flat screen TV. The ensuite Bathroom has a huge air jetted tub for two (one of the largest made), and a separate shower with an overhead rainforest shower head and three body jets. The Terrace Room is perfect for Wedding Nights as well as for guests who may not want to walk up the flights of stairs to the rooms in the original Inn. It also has a private staircase leading up into our beautiful new, all season sun porch.
Romantic suite with a sitting room with a private bath in the room (with a claw foot tub and shower). The sitting room has a small settee, a desk, a rocking chair and a dormer window looking out on the gardens in the back yard.
Our family suite. Has a queen size bed, a large sitting room with a full size sofa. Private bath Is in the hall a few steps away from the room. It has a tub/shower combination.
2 Room Luxury suite with queen sized bed, a sitting room and an all new bath with a Luxurious shower. Both Sitting room and Bedroom have a wood burning fireplace. Sitting room has a sofa and chairs and a Bose Radio/CD Player. Bedroom has a Plasma TV over the fireplace

Grand Marnier Fench Toast
A delicious breakfast dish with hand sliced egg challah bread which has been soaked in a mixture of eggs, cream, and orange liqueur. It is served piping hot with an Orange Rum Sauce to pour over the top. We usually accompany this with a smoked chicken and apple sausage. A guest favorite at the Wayside Inn!
