About

The Wayside Inn is an historic Bed and Breakfast nearby historic Ellicott City, the site of the first railway station in the United States. The Inn is within minutes of art galleries, museums, antique shops and award winning restaurants. It is a short hop to downtown Baltimore or to catch the Metro into exciting Washington, D.C., with all those cities have to offer. Yet the Wayside Inn is safely located in the tranquil hills of Ellicott City on two acres of landscaped property, with a beautiful pond amid mature trees(one White Oak certified to have been standing at the signing of the U.S Constitution)and stunning gardens. In the past few months the owners have completely renovated the second floor adding private baths with Jacuzzi style tubs to some rooms and adding a brand new Luxury suite. Your Comfort is our Passion!

Beautiful Inn Beautiful Room

5 on May 04, 2015

The inn was spectacular, the breakfasts great, and the innkeeper couldn't have been friendlier. We had a great time!

An amazing first time B&B experience

5 on May 01, 2015

We had an amazing time at the Wayside Inn for our first time ever at a B&B and are looking forward to making it a yearly tradition. We loved our room, David the Owner/Host, and the food. It was a wonderful experience.

The Best

5 on April 15, 2015

We've stayed at Wayside for 4 years now for our wedding anniversary and we are never disappointed. We are always made to feel so welcomed and loved, the home is so beautiful and easy to get to, the beds are like sleeping on a cloud and the breakfast is beyond delicious. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

we will be back

5 on April 03, 2015

Snowed in

The Inn was terrific. The snow and resulting traffic along with my wife's illness made the getaway a little less pleasant. But no fault of the Inn

Anniversary Valentines Weekend at Wayside Inn

3.8 on February 28, 2015

We had a wonderful time. Every was so nice and the food was great. .I wanted more :-). Get a room with a fireplace in it. It's the best and the jetted tubs were very relaxing. We will be back again¿

Great weekend!

5 on February 08, 2015

Stayed at the Wayside in to visit my daughter in Ellicott City, my second time at Wayside, my wife's first. We were very happy with the pleasant service, great mattress and excellent food. We love old homes and felt very comfortable there. We had a great suite with a large bathroom. Linens were first rate. Susan and David were very welcoming.

Wonderful stay!

5 on January 30, 2015

We left the baby with the babysitter and celebrated a kid-free overnight here. Although we only live half an hour away, it truly felt like a vacation here! The room was beautiful and the bathroom was spacious. (loved the jacuzzi tub, too!) The owners were super-friendly and hospitable. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We appreciated the 9:30am breakfast time - a lot of places stop serving at 9, and the extra half hour really made a difference - true luxury. We'll definitely be back next time we get the chance to leave our baby with the sitter!

Lovely Inn

This was our second stay at the Wayside Inn. It's close to home and makes a nice mini-vacation for us. We always recommend this Inn to friends and family.

Grand Marnier Fench Toast
A delicious breakfast dish with hand sliced egg challah bread which has been soaked in a mixture of eggs, cream, and orange liqueur. It is served piping hot with an Orange Rum Sauce to pour over the top. We usually accompany this with a smoked chicken and apple sausage. A guest favorite at the Wayside Inn!
