spent our one year anniversary here. very nice bed and breakfast. loved the view and the deck outside our room. my husband especially liked that there was cold drink and delicious snacks 24/7. The small city was adorable and we enjoyed walking through all the shops. Very relaxing and we will definitely be back again.

We spent our first vacation time in Chesapeake City and had a wonderful time. The Ship Watch Inn was more than I could have asked for. Thank you for a memorable time. We will be back in the spring.

great view! quiet, peaceful! a beautiful little town to stroll through with very friendly people. staff at the inn were friendly, attentive and caring. some reviews say it was like being at home. my family do not make me feel as welcome as they did. i did not want to leave. brakfast on the deck outside our rooms was icing on the cake. this stay was part of a present to my wife, she told me "you done good"

My fiance and I stayed here for 3 days in September after the holiday rush. It was very relaxing. The room was clean and spotless. Renee greeted us as we checked in. There were snacks and beverages 24/7 which was very nice and they were delicious. Tatum made breakfast both mornings we were there - ham omelet with sausage and the next day french toast, both were delicious. Since it was after Labor Day some of the surrounding shops were closed be we did venture out a little. We loved that we saw some ships pass by while sitting on the deck, that was a plus. We will definitely go back and stay in the future. Thank you for a nice and relaxing vacation away from the city hustle and bustle.

We come here every August for 5 days. We love sitting on the porch/balcony watching the different types of water craft especially the giant barges that do a pilot exchange. The breakfast is so delicious and is different every day. Also, there are home made cakes and cookies in the dining room that are always available. The town is small enough that you can walk every where. There are nice shops, restaurants, and an ice cream parlor. We always take the tour boat the "Miss Clair" for a scenic ride. We love it there.

We were greeted warmly, but found our room a little too cool when we arrived. When I went downstairs for a cup of coffee, our host said she would "warm it up a notch". It was ok for a little while after that, but we were huddling under the (provided) robes part of the time. The room was beautiful and well furnished, and we took advantage of the tub with the massaging jets (after we figured out how to use it). Perhaps there should be a sign instructing the user not to turn it on until water reaches a certain level? We were battling the spray until we figured it out. Once we got it figured out, it was great! The room had a fabulous view, with the porch overlooking the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. We enjoyed the rockers on the porch before we went to dinner and in the morning with a cup of coffee. We were treated to some views of passing canal traffic (mostly barges, smaller boats and a few yachts, but we saw a large container ship, which was a sight to see!). As I mentioned, the room was great. Lighting is a pet peeve for me, so I appreciated the spots and reading lights on both sides of the bed. I did notice some dust on the shutters in the bathroom and also on the ornate lamps on the dressing table. We were served breakfast on the outside porch, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was good and the service was superb. Yes, I had some nits about the place, but we would certainly return for the beautiful view, friendly service and comfy getaway. Chesapeake City is a small town and the shops close up early. But, we did make a few purchases in the afternoon and the next day before leaving town. We also visited the Canal Museum, which provided the history of the canal and was quite interesting.

I had the opportunity to stay here while in Maryland on business, and what a place to return to to unwind and relax after a full day. The morning breakfasts were incredibly delicious, and provided a great start to the day. There are also cakes and cookies available throughout the day, I stopped by the dining area anytime I left or returned. The rooms are nice, quiet and comfortable, the view is remarkable!

This was great for a weekend wedding. Most of the wedding party stayed there so we basically had the place to ourselves and could all eat breakfast together.

This was such a great stay. Cozy room, great view, endless supply of snacks and drink, and breakfast in the morning?! I will definitely be back in the fall.
