We stayed here with some friends for a weekend getaway and had a great time. The town was very nice, and there were plenty of places within walking distance to shop, eat, drink and be merry. This was our first real Bed and Breakfast and it was a real pleasant surprise. We would definitely recommend it to others and will be returning in the future when the weather gets warmer and we will be able to enjoy sitting on the porch and enjoy the waterway views.

My daughter got married in November and everything went great. The room was very comfortable and breakfast, you couldn't have asked for a better meal. My daughter's wedding was beautiful and we had great weather for taking pictures outside. I can't wait to visit again.

My husband and I stayed for two nights recently. We had a warm, welcoming experience. Sharon and Renee made sure we were satisfied with our stay. Can't wait to return. The hot tub was not working at the time of our visit but we were compensated with a gift certificate for money off a future stay and also with a gift certificate the the Chesapeake Inn. The breakfast was delish and the baked goods were an added treat.

My husband and I and one of couple visited Ship Watch on 3/19/16. We were a little late, but the innkeepers had our information ready for us and it was an easy check-in. Our rooms were a bit small but nicely furnished (not looking for a big room anyway since only sleeping there). Our room overlooked the Canal and had a wonderful deck but it was too cold to go on the deck. We dined that evening at the Chesapeake Inn and had a good meal. Prior to dinner, we like to have wine and cheese at the inn, but there really is no sitting room to do that so we improvised and used the check-in desk. The next morning, we had a FABULOUS breakfast of eggs benedict with fresh fruit and OJ. After a short walk around town, we headed home. It is a very comfortable inn for the value and the innkeeper was very nice. It also is one of the only places that offers a 1 night stay, which is what we wanted..

This is a great treasure in Chesapeake City. The inn keeper was delightful. It was our first experience at a B&B and had a pleasant stay. We will be back!

My husband and I stay here every February. The Ship Watch Inn is our favorite place close to home. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, spacious, clean and the view is amazing!!! We are lovers of summer time, but coming here in the winter is the only thing we look forward to every year. The staff are amazing!! The eggs benedict with crab is delicious!! Even the guests that stay are great!! We have had great conversations with the guests. Walking through the little quaint town, running into people we met back at the Inn, makes it feel like home away from home. We CAN NOT WAIT to come back in 2017. Ship Watch Inn, Chesapeake Inn, Chesapeake City.....WE LOVE YOU!!

Chesapeake City is one of my favorite American towns- so quaint and quiet and the ships going thru the C& D Canal are amazing. But the Ship Watch was absolutely lovely- clean- incredible views and the breakfast was delicious. Suzanne

First time staying in a B&B and Ship Watch Inn did not disappoint! Everything I'd imagined was realized: Cozy, homey, inviting, clean and comfy. Privacy when desired and friendly, local knowledge by wonderful innkeepers, Sharon and Rene! Daily breakfast was delicious and I haven't even mentioned the quaint little shops/restaurants or the amazing water view!

The room was very nice and Sharon was kind. Giving advice on restaurants sightseeing etc. What a beautiful little town. I would like to go back in the spring or summer. Very quaint and clean bed and breakfast.
We are happy to hear you enjoyed our town. We look forward to your visit in the Spring.

We had a great time at the Ship Watch Inn. If you enjoy looking at ships close-up this is the place to go. Very comfortable bed, great views. We're coming back when it is warmer so we can sit outside and watch the big boats pass by. The Inn made it as one of our best trips. Thank you!
Thank you kindly for such a nice review. We do feel that the views are spectacular and the warmer months offer some great views of recreational boats as well.

I love this Inn and I love Chesapeake City especially during the holidays. We had a fabulous time and the Inn was so beautifully decorated it was enchanting. We visit a few times a year and I am certainly looking forward to my next visit. The Inn keepers are fantastice, extremely attentive and easy going. The breakfasts are delicious!

Really nice place for a quiet weekend retreat. A very inviting bed and breakfast. Great location and the accommodations were excellent. Nearby restaurants had delicious meals. Staff was extremely friendly and made the stay very comfortable. Only suggestion would be to have a breakfast that can accommodate a gluten free diet. Had waffles for breakfast which I couldn't eat but my wife said they were delicious!!

My wife and I have stayed at the Shipwatch Inn no less than six times. We have never been disappointed. The inn is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. We love to sit in the rockers on the porch, and enjoy the scenic view of the canal, while enjoying complimentary snacks, coffee and tea. A beautiful and satisfying breakfast, freshly prepared, never fails to please, especially nice when enjoyed on the porch in nice weather.

Great B&B value. Room had a balcony overlooking the canal. Beautiful sunset. Renee was caring and concerned, and made a wonderful breakfast! Great restaurant literally next door...so you can stumble back after dinner. Would absolutely return if it fits our plans.

Everything was exactly as represented on their view site. Beautiful room (Somerset) and amazing view. My only qualm is how noisy both mornings were. The first morning, a guest from one of the upper floors came down to the first floor deck right outside my room and made a very loud, long telephone call at 7:30 am. The other guests on the first floor were woken, too. The staff person noticed too and did nothing but roll her eyes. On the second morning, staff were dragging tables and chairs around on the deck outside my room to accommodate a larger group staying on other floors. Don't count on being able to sleep in past 7:30am.

This place is great. The view, the keepers, the breakfast and night snacks can't be beat. They are very generous and have a comfortable inn. Can't wait to return for another visit and some R&R.

the towels and sheets are the softest we have ever experienced away from home. The food was great, and the service is fantastic. They were very attentative to the needs of a wedding party. Awesome stay, beautiful view from the deck!

The dining on our balcony was a lovely experience! This charming and beautiful B&B was perfect except for the parking. We had to rely on public parking and cross our fingers to find a spot close to the B&B. Otherwise, it is flawless and outstanding.

The staff at the Ship Watch Inn were absolutely amazing! Our fight was delayed & they accommodated our late check-in, great breakfast & service, & a clean room & fresh towels every day. The property is beautiful and every room has a fantastic view of the canal. Wonderful experience, we will definitely be back!

My husband and I shared our 18th wedding anniversary at the Ship Watch Inn and it surpassed all of our expecations. The room was gorgeous, the view was fantastic and the breakfast on the balcony was unbelievable. This was an amazing value and I cannot wait to return. The innkeepers do everything right. Don't stay here so there will be availability the next time I go (wink, wink).

My husband and I came here from Philadelphia for our 15th anniversary. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and condition of The Ship Watch Inn. We stayed in the Annapolis room (corner room, 3rd floor) and it was beautiful!!! The room was a good size and the jacuzzi was fantastic! We only wished the bed was a little firmer but it's not a deal breaker! The Inn keeper Ms. Renee was very friendly and professional. The highlight of staying here was being able to park our car and walk to everything (restaurants, shopping, ice cream shop) the whole weekend. Every room at this Inn has a deck to walk out onto that you can eat meals on and watch all the ships & boats go by on the river. If you want to get away to a close, beautiful, calm and relaxing town--make a reservation here! Only an hour from Philly but the feel of a peaceful far away place!

We had a great weekend stay at the inn peaceful and quiet, yet entertainment was a block away at the Chesapeake Inn. The only issue we had was no AC and the third floor was a little warm, But a fan was provided upon request. We will definatly be back!

This was my first b&b experience...not only was it a welcoming breath of fresh air, it was a wonderful time. It was very peaceful and serene...a very nice quiet quaint town, like what you see on television, only it was very real. The staff was very welcoming and polite. The room was spacious and clean, with a door that opened to the porch outside...a large area where we ate our breakfast each morning. I would definitely go back again and definitely recommend this inn to anyone who wants to get away from the busy, hectic day to day craziness.
5 on April 29, 2015
We only stayed one night but we totally enjoyed ourselves...we were on the third flood with the balcony and it turned out to be a beautiful day...after we walked around the town and visited all the shops and bars...we got to go back to our rooms and sit out on the balcony and just watch all the lovely sights !!! We are already trying to pick another weekend this time !!! Place was clean, people were lovely and we had a delicious breakfast !! Thanks for a great time !!!

First time there and it will definitely NOT be our last time. Wonderful and friendly service, fantastic rooms and view and there is nothing about this experience that was not top notch. Only suggestion is try for more parking spaces. Leaving and finding a parking ticket was not a great ending, but a small price to pay for such a great time.

The last few reviews say it all. After exploring the small town a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of the canal. We had a third floor room and when the BIG ship passed by we were in awe. Would recommend to others

This is THE place to stay in Chesapeake City. Every room faces the water, and after wandering around the very small town, there's nothing better than sitting on a rocker, on the porch, watching the activity on the canal. The room was comfortable and very clean. Rene, the innkeeper, was extremely accommodating and treated us like family. The fresh baked cookies and cake she put out each day were a nice treat. We will be back!

We love the views from our room. We come back time and time again. Our innkeeper is just great and the location is convenient to restaurants and shops. We had very noisy people above us who interrupted our sleep a number of times through each night. It made this visit a bit less enjoyable as usual. Otherwise, we love this B & B.

Location location location We have stayed in Chesapeak city a few times but this was our first time at The Ship Watch. We travel with two other couples to B&B's and it was nice to be able to sit outside on the porch/deck together. We especially loved being right there on the water watching the boats and barges. The hot tub was very relaxing but we had to use our bath towels to dry off. So I would suggest extra towels in the room for the hot tub. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We requested three rooms on the second floor, the only down fall about that was we could hear everything from the rooms above. Like the zipper opening on their suitcase. Not sure what could be done about that. Our stay was wonderful and we are planing on making the Ship Watch Inn our fall 2015 get away.

Although I spent very little time in the room, (was only there to sleep), it is quaint, relaxing and worth your time to visit if you need a beautiful view and some personal down time. Restaurants nearby are all first class and within walking distance. You feel like family and feel safe and calm there.

My fiance and I stayed here for 3 days in September after the holiday rush. It was very relaxing. The room was clean and spotless. Renee greeted us as we checked in. There were snacks and beverages 24/7 which was very nice and they were delicious. Tatum made breakfast both mornings we were there - ham omelet with sausage and the next day french toast, both were delicious. Since it was after Labor Day some of the surrounding shops were closed be we did venture out a little. We loved that we saw some ships pass by while sitting on the deck, that was a plus. We will definitely go back and stay in the future. Thank you for a nice and relaxing vacation away from the city hustle and bustle.

We come here every August for 5 days. We love sitting on the porch/balcony watching the different types of water craft especially the giant barges that do a pilot exchange. The breakfast is so delicious and is different every day. Also, there are home made cakes and cookies in the dining room that are always available. The town is small enough that you can walk every where. There are nice shops, restaurants, and an ice cream parlor. We always take the tour boat the "Miss Clair" for a scenic ride. We love it there.

We were greeted warmly, but found our room a little too cool when we arrived. When I went downstairs for a cup of coffee, our host said she would "warm it up a notch". It was ok for a little while after that, but we were huddling under the (provided) robes part of the time. The room was beautiful and well furnished, and we took advantage of the tub with the massaging jets (after we figured out how to use it). Perhaps there should be a sign instructing the user not to turn it on until water reaches a certain level? We were battling the spray until we figured it out. Once we got it figured out, it was great! The room had a fabulous view, with the porch overlooking the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. We enjoyed the rockers on the porch before we went to dinner and in the morning with a cup of coffee. We were treated to some views of passing canal traffic (mostly barges, smaller boats and a few yachts, but we saw a large container ship, which was a sight to see!). As I mentioned, the room was great. Lighting is a pet peeve for me, so I appreciated the spots and reading lights on both sides of the bed. I did notice some dust on the shutters in the bathroom and also on the ornate lamps on the dressing table. We were served breakfast on the outside porch, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was good and the service was superb. Yes, I had some nits about the place, but we would certainly return for the beautiful view, friendly service and comfy getaway. Chesapeake City is a small town and the shops close up early. But, we did make a few purchases in the afternoon and the next day before leaving town. We also visited the Canal Museum, which provided the history of the canal and was quite interesting.

I had the opportunity to stay here while in Maryland on business, and what a place to return to to unwind and relax after a full day. The morning breakfasts were incredibly delicious, and provided a great start to the day. There are also cakes and cookies available throughout the day, I stopped by the dining area anytime I left or returned. The rooms are nice, quiet and comfortable, the view is remarkable!

My wife and I spent a night at the Ship Watch Inn. The room was spotless and beautifully appointed. I loved that the room could be accessed via an outside terrace and that it overlooked the Chesapeake Bay. I was also delighted to find that the outdoor hot tub also looked out over the bay....what a beautiful view both from the hot tub and our room. We were also very happy that our breakfast was served at an outdoor table in front of our room overlooking the water. I would highly recommend your visit to this charming B&B.

My wife and I have visited the Ship Watch Inn many times over the last ten years and already have additional dates booked. It is our "Home Away from Home". We love the food, the views are spectacular and the Inn Keeper (Renee) always cooks up an awesome breakfast and provides us with a welcome greeting that keeps us coming back for more.

Our room had doors that opened onto a porch with rocking chairs and small tables right along the water! The view of the Chesapeake City Bridge and the boats floating by was so relaxing. The staff was friendly and polite. We have stayed at the Ship Watch Inn for two summers now. We discovered that our breakfast server last year was a sister to the server we had this year. A family oriented business! The food is scrumptious and was presented so nicely that I felt I needed to take a photo! There were home made cookies, cake, cupcakes and cold drinks in the dining room to snack on whenever we wanted. There were heating lamps in the ceiling of the bathroom. We would definitely recommend this lovely bed & breakfast!

We enjoyed a beautiful vacation at the Ship Watch Inn July 6- July 8th. We were greeted by a beautiful young woman named Tatum- she gave us a tour of the meticulously manicured property then directed us to our room. Our room-5 Cecil was adorned with sage green and pastel colors- freshly updated and awaiting our entrance. The bathroom was spa like decorated with furnishings you would see in an upscale magazine. Our breakfast was served on the patio deck outside our room each morning. Robin brought us delicious French toast drizzled with fresh melted chocolate, fresh fruit and coffee. Robin also was responsible for our room and kept it as perfect as when we first walked in. Tatum prepared eggs for us on the 2nd day- also delicious! I can't say enough about this B&B...I only wish we had more time to stay. We originally were coming by boat but the July 4th weather and ocean seas prevented this. Friends that run the Hack Point Marina recommended 3 inns in the area and we are happy we chose Ship Watch Inn. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Coreen and Cliff

We loved the antique furnishings and were extremely impressed with the cleanliness of our room. This B&B has a wonderful view of the Canal and is just a short walk to the dock at the Chesapeake Inn where we had also rented an overnight slip for our boat. Our trip was unexpectedly cut short but we definitely plan to stay there in the future.

I happened to stumble upon this place while searching for bed and breakfast places in MD. I am obsessed with MD, hoping to one day move here. After staying here I fell inlove with MD even more. The outside of the Inn looks like a painting or an old time photo. We were greeted immediately when entering with the friendly staff. We could smell something baking in the oven as our reservation was processed. We stayed in the Kent room on the third floor. Every room has an amazing view of the Cheseapeake Bay. The room had such a "home-like" feel. Outside our room we were able to sun bathe since there was no covered awning. Breakfast was served right outside on the balcony in the morning. The waffles were amazing and the staff SO friendly. They had snacks layed out for those hungry in the evening. Everything is in walking distance with multiple bars around town. I was able to capture many pictures of sailboats on the bay (another obsession of mine). There is not one thing we did not like about this place. My BF is already talking about going back. Also the prices were VERY reasonable which is another reason why we stayed here..we could not be happier woth our choice. We cannot wait to return. You will not regret staying here..believe me.

This is our 3rd visit to Chesapeake City and our 3rd stay at the Ship Watch. We've stayed in both Suites which are incredibly comfortable. We've also stayed in the Lent and Dorchester, both of which are charming. The food and service is supurb and the location is absolutely perfect. There is nothing more relaxing than just lying on your bed, looking straight on to beautiful C&D canal and waiting for big ships and barges to pass by. We've already booked for next year.

This is the best B&B in Chesapeake City! The view from the room was excellent, the rooms are spacious, the bed is so comfortable, it is so clean, and to top it all off... the breakfast is phenomenal! I would recommend this B&B to anyone! Also, this is the only place in town that does not have a 2 night minimum.
5 on June 21, 2014
The Ship Watch Inn was everything I had hoped it would be. Unless you could arrange for more ships to go by while I was relaxing on the balcony (which I know you can't) I wouldn't change a thing. Where we were going to stay was a surprise to my cousin and she was as pleased as I was. Thank you.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Shipwatch. The only problem I had was that people were allowed to smoke on the common porch. we had breakfast outside which was lovely but others were smoking while we ate.I would prefer a totally smoke-free environment.

It is prepared by Renee, who is also a very good chef. The rooms are very clean and decorated to the period of the old shipping days on the canal. We will most likely return again and again. What a charming Inn.

My husband & I stayed in the Dorchester Room #7 which was perfect. It was a bit chilly so we didn't get the opportunity to eat on the patio. When making the reservations I should have asked about the "snacks" because I saw some pretzels in a jar that was for everyone to help themselves. I don't eat food that everyone touches, that grossed me out. There were also some cookies and a few cupcakes...although I love fresh baked goods I try to eat well and would have loved some healthy choices. Maybe homemade granola bars could be added. Breakfast was a HUGE disappointment..We were offered scrambled eggs or a ham & cheese omelette.. Sadly we left hungry..... If your going to do 2 options they should be different and exciting...These choices were mundane.. As for the service WE LOVE TATUM!!!! Such a sweet young lady with a wonderful future planned... She will missed on our next visit. Overall you can't beat the views and the house is beautiful:)

Firstly, Chesapeake City, MD is one of the most pleasant, quiet, and quaint little out of the way places you'll find, with plenty of character, charm, and shops! The Shipwatch is just great, with a very comfortable and well-appointed, "home away from home" feel. I loved it!

The rooms are wonderful, the view is spectacular. The food... needs improvement. Only choice was Eggs Benedict, some of us did not eat at all and those who did.. well we all went to breakfast elsewhere after. We will surely be back, but will plan to just go out for breakfast. Very nice and friendly staff too.

My son's wedding was held at the Chesapeake Inn on March 22nd. We had all 8 rooms at the Ship Watch Inn. It was a wonderful experience. The place is very clean, no bed bugs!! I walked around the house with white socks and not a speck of dirt on them. I soaked in the Jacuzzi tub in my room for two hours after the wedding because my feet were killing me. I would return again. The only suggestion I might have is that it for the breakfast, it would be nice if there was a choice of two things, in case someone didn't like one maybe they can choose the other. Other than that it was great, very pleasant and accommodating staff as well. Michelle, Media, PA

My husband and I just got back from our wedding weekend in Chesapeake City. Our wedding party stayed the weekend at the Ship Watch Inn and it was absolutely perfect! It was the first time we ever stayed at a B&B and I was so pleasantly surprised. When we arrived, Renee got us checked in and we unpacked our bags. Each room has such charm and character—and not to mention a gorgeous view! Breakfast was delicious each morning, the hot tub offered a perfect spot to relax, and the weekend was wonderful. I highly recommend the Ship Watch Inn to anyone staying in Chesapeake City.

We stayed 2 nights in the Annapolis Suite for our 22nd anniversary. The room was clean and beautiful! But the highlight for us was the warm hospitality. Renee was so kind in preparing us a "special request" delicious oatmeal and fruit breakfast as we were on a fast for Lent at the time. She also had time to share some stories of the canal. We were then privileged to see quite a few barges and 2 big ships pass through. The ships were breathtaking! Would highly recommend this inn in this lovely quaint non-commercialized town. Great restaurants, adorable shops, and lovely walks.

Everything was great at this bed and breakfast! We actually felt like we were in a home away from home. View was great and staff great as well. All rooms clean and we had everything we needed for a nice romantic getaway! Breakfast was tasty :)

We had a great time at the Ship Watch Inn. The rooms were very pretty, and comfortable. We were pleased overall with our stay, and would return. However, in the interest of excellence, there were a few issues I believe should be addressed. Our rooms were clean, but there was a ring of build up around the tub. Our breakfast (Belgian Waffles with fruit, was really disappointing, and my biggest complaint. The waffles were all very dry and dense, sort of powdery, if you will. The fruit was tasty, and there were lots of drink options. The guest pantry ran out of water, and it was never restocked. Upon checkout, the teenage cleaning crew was there, and VERY anxious to begin, apparently. They were standing at our door at ten till eleven, arms crossed, leaning against the wall. It seemed very tacky and rude. However, the young lady that served our breakfast on the second floor, was extremely nice, and very helpful. Despite these criticisms, it is a lovely Inn, and we enjoyed ourselves. These are just things that if improved, would put it in my 5 star category.

Moved from Chesapeake City to Charleston a couple of years ago and when I decided to make a trip back home naturally I decided to stay in this beautiful town that I love. Shipwatch, located waterfront on the C & D Canal was the obvious choice. The interior is beautifully decorated in Victorian style and there is a wonderful upper porch where you can sit and watch the big ships make their way through the canal, and enjoy the lights from Schaefers Canal House restaurant and marina across the water. The rooms are beautifully appointed as well. Renee, the hospitable innkeeper will make you a fabulous breakfast each morning in the dining room (my favorite room here...it is gorgeous) My only negative for the Inn is the heavy presence of fragrance in the rooms. Between plug-in air fresheners, incense oil sticks and perfumed fabric softener used on all the bedding I got a splitting headache and had to remove everything I am allergic to. Would advise those with allergies to mention this ahead of time so as to have room ready for your arrival. I can't wait for my next visit home and another stay at the Shipwatch.

We were traveling back to NY from VA and decided to stay overnight along the way. We didn't know anything about Chesapeake City, MD, or the Ship Watch Inn. We are so glad we decided to stay there! The Inn was perfect - rooms, hospitality, breakfast, layout, porches, and more. The small City itself was charming with great views, restaurants and shops. In the future, we will plan another trip to the Ship Watch Inn for sure!

We stayed here because we were attending a wedding that was at the Chesapeake Inn and our stay just added to our awesome weekend. Renee was so sweet we wanted to take her home with us. Awesome homemade waffles! The views are spectacular and we were lucky enough to see a huge cargo ship. Rooms were spotless and the inn was well maintained with clean, modern bathrooms. Will definitely be going back! Thank you for great memories.

My husband and I stayed at the Ship Watch Inn for our anniversary in August 2009. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The breakfast served on our balcony was wonderful. We booked a small room with a queen bed for a good price since we knew we would be outside on the balcony more than inside the room. Baked goods, water and soda were complimentary during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We would stay there again.

We have just returned from the Ship Watch Inn and found the entire experience to be wonderful. The Inn was very clean with a fantastic location and interesting furnishings. Breakfast was delicious, and there was an abundance of desserts, snacks and drinks available at any time. We are already planning a return trip.

We spent a night at the Ship Watch Inn, a last minute decision that we are so glad we made! A great advantage here is that the SWI allows one night stays, invaluable to people like us with small children who sometimes get away for one night but rarely more. The second best thing is that it is so close. Only a little over an hour drive from our Main Line home and we were in a whole new world. Who knew! If you looked up "quaint" in the dictionary, you'd find this town. Adorable old homes and shops and restaurants, all in a few blocks radius that just begs for you to get out and stroll. All in view of the gorgeous C&D canal, a lovely waterway abounding with pretty boats and interesting ships and charm. The Inn itself is perfectly situated on the water with views from every room. Come and go from your room through the Inn or down the outside stairs from your balcony overlooking the canal. We spent the first morning walking the town, and afternoon sunning on the balcony, watching the boats. After drinks at the Chesapeake Inn, and dinner waterside at Bayard House, we enjoyed the SWI's hot tub under the stars and then our jacuzzi bath in our room. There was a wedding party staying next door, getting prepped for the nuptuals. They were relatively quiet, but it would have been nice if this had been mentioned to us when we made our reservation. On the down side, and these are sort of nit-picky, the room was freezing and I couldn't figure out how to adjust the a/c. The a/c also made a whooshing sound that kept me awake. There were some yucky hairs in the bathroom and some cobwebs in the corner, but overall the place was very clean. The walls are thin and you will hear your neighbors come home at 2:00 a.m. The morning breakfast is served outside your room on the deck, weather permitting. The service, coffee and french toast were excellent, the sausage not-so-much. Overall, I highly recommend the Ship Watch Inn. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

My husband and I found the Shipwatch Inn over 3 years ago.....we love it. Renee always makes us feel like family and the rooms are like home. We've stayed in just about every room and can honestly say we have no favorite. The beds are so comfortable, the view is unbelievable, and the breakfast is delicious!! We "go home" at least 3-4 times a year and made sure to go at different seasons. It's always welcoming and the people in town could not be more accomodating. Can you tell how much Lucy and Ethel love the Ship Watch Inn?

My husband and I have been coming to Chesapeake City since 1995. I enjoy the view on the Inn right in the C&D Canal. The breakfast is served right outside your door on the porch. I love this place and people.

Every year, one week before christmas when all the shopping is done, the presents are wrapped and the tree is trimmed, we book a overnight stay at the Ship Watch Inn, we take our two daughters and their grandmother. It was a tradition we started 9 years ago and every year it just gets better! The inn is alway decorated so festive and beutiful, the rooms are so cozy and tastefully decorated, we usually make dinner resevations for after we check in, after dinner we enjoy the hot tub, while watching the ships go by, and the next day we hit the charming stores located in chesapeak city for some last minute christmas shopping! This is something we look forward to every year!!

Every year, my wife and I make a point of going to the Ship Watch Inn just before the start of the school year. It is a guaranteed way to relax and prepare for the beginning of school. Only an hour away from West Chester, PA, it is a completely different and welcome environment.

We reserved rooms for friends & ourselves without seeing the Inn. We had beautiful rooms. They were helpful making reservations at the restaurant on short notice (and getting us good seats on a very busy night) The whole experience was wonderful & we will be back soon.

Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable time at Ship Watch Inn. The rooms, service, location was great. I'm wish I was able to get 2 days and not just one day there. Looking forward to a return visit. Thank you again for everything !
