This Old House Bed and Breakfast

– Lexington, MA

Lexington, Massachusetts, a town familiar to Americans across the nation, its name passed from generation to generation through stories depicting our country's birth. Amidst this town teeming with history, we find a charming Bed and Breakfast with an interesting claim of its own. Although the original house was built in 1909, this B & B is not called an "Old House" for its years. The home's young addition was the featured project on a popular home improvement television series, and lasted through all twenty-six episodes of the season. The bold project included designing and constructing a new master bedroom and bathroom, kitchen, an adjacent family room, basement, garage, whole-house audio system personally installed by Dr. Bose, and two outdoor decks: one constructed of wood outside the kitchen and the other of granite accompanied by a welcoming goldfish pond. Only eleven miles from Boston, this Bed and Breakfast remains nestled in one of Boston's most beautiful and historical suburbs. Two blocks from the scenic Minuteman Bikeway and only minutes from Lexington's historic museums and parks , guests enjoy easy access to the best of two worlds - the comforting charm of peaceful Lexington along with the cosmopolitan life of vibrant Boston. Whether you are an independent city explorer or just want to enjoy the tranquility of a charming historic town, our doors are always open to welcome you, and we hope to see you soon.

Oceanside Inn

– Scituate, MA

The Oceanside Inn welcomes you with the only accomodations in Scituate on the ocean and also comes with a beach. All our rooms are just 30 ft from the Atlantic at high tide. In 1920, as summer's heat settled in, Boston's elite would travel from Beacon Hill to "The Summer House" at Scituate Harbor. Today, that summer home of yesteryear is available to you year-round as Scituate's only waterfront Bed and Breakfast. Sitting on the ocean's edge, the Oceanside Inn is an authentic New England beach house. The nostalgia remains with the beachstone fireplace and whitewashed matchboard walls but today the experience is enhanced by central air, heat and whirlpool baths. View the flashing of Minots Light across the ocean, the 1-4-3 flash says "I Love You". Take a short walk to Scituate Light, 3rd oldest in New England. Although most beaches are public in Scituate, access is limited to those with town stickers for parking. At the Oceanside Inn walk along the deck to the beach.

A Bed & Breakfast In Cambridge

– Cambridge, MA

Located in Cambridge in the historical district, just two blocks from Harvard Yard, our 1897 colonial revival house, designed by architect George Fogerty, is noted for its "simplicity of design and crispness of detail." We have preserved many of its original details. We are just a short "T" ride across the river to Boston. Our rooms are for double or single occupancy with king, queen or twin beds. The tax-free price includes parking, breakfast, afternoon tea and sherry. We have antiques, lace curtains, down pillows, fresh flowers in the room. Breakfast includes homemade bread, homemade jams, and fresh fruit and we make crepes, Belgian waffles or blueberry pancakes for breakfast. The rooms are air-conditioned, have cable TV, voice mail, overstuffed chairs, and antique writing desks. They are shared bath with a dressing gown and a basket for your toiletries, with no smoking on the premises. The rooms are on the third floor and they are light and airy. There is a back porch surrounded with trees. The common room has a small library of history, poetry, and tourist literature, a book of menus, and my grandmother's rocking chairs. If you wish to swim or use the weight room across the street, remember to bring your suit. We donate 5% of our profits to the Cambridge Action Fund, a nonprofit that helps the Cambridge homeless.

The town of Hull, Massachusetts afforded the perfect setting for this inspiration. The rooms are named after Ann Marie's mother and sisters and decorated in "Beach Vintage." Carruth House

– Boston, MA

The Herbert Carruth House was built around 1877 in one of the first of the garden suburbs of Boston. It is a landmark historic property in the Ashmont section of Dorchester and overlooks one of the loveliest residential streets in Boston. Our property was built in the Second Empire style and is featured in three books on local history. Our transit system, called the MBTA or "T", is an economical alternative to negotiating downtown traffic. The Carruth House is a very convenient 10 minute walk to the Red Line's Ashmont T Station. Downtown Boston is a 15 - 20 minute ride from Ashmont, Harvard Square is 25 minutes, and the fare is US$2 each way. We have limited off-street parking offered first to the party booking the Ashmont Suite and unlimited on-street parking immediately adjacent to the property. We are in the process of restoring Carruth House and continue to add to the amenities in and decoration of our cozy and comfortable guest rooms. The oak panelled Great Room with huge fireplace and regulation-size pool table is is a wonderful addition to our facilities and provides an Event Space for 20 - 30 people. Catering can be arranged. Please come for a visit - we hope you enjoy Carruth House as much as we do.

Marblehead on HarborMarblehead, MA

"Memorable Stay"

"In the middle of August 2011, we stayed three days in this beautiful place. Our room (Starboard Home) this was very nice with large private balcony overlooking the port. What a wonderful view of the hundreds of boats at sunset with the soft breeze! The hospitality of our hostess Becky were friendly and memorable. Breakfast was excellent, varied and plentiful. We hope to return to Marblehead and of course we will not hesitate to stay at Becky's B&B. This place is recommendable a hundred percent. Thank you Becky. Michel & Denise / Montréal Québec"
