Welcome to the Old Winterport Commercial House antique shop and bed & breakfast located in downtown, historic Winterport, Maine along the Penobscot River.
Our larger Frankfort Room has two full size beds and private full bath.
Our Hampden Room has one full size bed, private full bath, and a nice view of the Penobscot River.
Our Penobscot Room has one full size bed, private full bath, and a romantic fireplace (non-working.)
Our Blueberry Room is one of our guests favorite. This room also has a large private full bath.
Comfortable, bright, and cheerful.
Our Breakfast Room which includes a wall size race track sign from the oldest, continuous running fairground in the US.

Originally built in 1833 as a stagecoach stop, our 5 unique rooms are decorated with antique furnishings. All rooms have private full baths (ensuite), air conditioning, hair dryers, and a breakfast buffet of fruit, quiche, cereals, and pastry items is served each morning in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Our location makes us convenient for day trips to places such as Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, Belfast, the coast and many other area destinations. Outdoor activities such as skiing/snow tubing is only 15 minutes away or 20 minutes away is the beach. We hope you'll also take time to visit our 4,000 sq. ft. antique shop located on the first floor.

This was our first stay in a B & B and what a pleasant surprise! The online reviews helped us choose Old Winterport and we were not disappointed! The room was so nice with the antiques and the value was great. Each morning we had a wonderful breakfast waiting for us when we got up! Homemade blueberry muffins each morning too. The room was very neat and clean and very quiet. We enjoyed talking to the owner and she gave us suggestions of places to go while we wandered around Maine. We would definitely return to this B & B and will tell all our friends about it! Wonderful stay! Ted and Brenda

Our host, and owner, Ann, couldn't have been more accommodating. Very friendly & helpful without being overbearing. She even opened the antique store for us to look around. I would recommend this to all our friends who travel & stay at B&Bs.

Northbound I-95 - Take Exit 174. Make a right off of exit and follow Rt. 69 East for 11 miles to Route 1A. Make left on Route 1A. We are 1/4 mile on the right. Southbound I-95: Take Exit 182A -Rt. 395 East, Bangor/Brewer. Take Exit 2, Rt. 202 - Hampden. When this road ends (at second light), make a left and at next light a right. This will put you onto Rt. 1A South. We are 7.9 miles on the left. From Coastal Rt. 1: In the town of Stockton Springs, make a left onto Rt. 1A. We are 11 miles on the right.

From Bangor International Airport go straight out of airport onto Godfrey Boulvard and then a right at the first light onto Maine Avenue. Maine Avenue will become US-2/ME-100 Odlin Road. Turn left onto I-395 East. Take Exit 2 onto US-202 West toward Hampden. At second stop light turn left onto Western Avenue (you will have to turn left or right here.) At next light turn right onto Route 1A South. Go approximately 8 miles and our inn will be on the left.
