The Chadwick

The term "simple elegance" perfectly describes this Queen-Anne style Bed & Breakfast nestled in Portland's historic West End. Built in 1891 with a 3-story turret, the Chadwick features the original working fireplaces. All the comforts of home can be found as well has the amenities one might desire in superior accommodations.
After a gourmet breakfast served in the formal diningroom, guests may stroll along the nearby Western Promenade and view some of the grand Victorian-period homes in the city. Portland's finest galleries, museums, theaters, shops and restaurants are located near by.
The Chadwick's four guestrooms are individually decorated. Each room features luxurious linens, robes and private bath.

The Chamberlane Room, a very spacious, yet intimate room in the Inn.
This room is graciously decorated in soft blue wall coverings overlooking
Chadwick Street. This room features two twin beds which can easily convert
to a roomy king-size bed. Soft & luxurious terry robes provided to cross
the hall to your private bath with shower.
    Relax with a good book or by the inns cozy fireplace.
    Our intimate bright dining room begins your day with a complimentary breakfast by your innkeeper. The Longfellow: $139-$175
The Longfellow is one of our largest guestrooms, with a beautiful canopy
four poster queen-size bed. Beautiful large bay windows overlook the
cityscape. This guest room offers a very spacious bathroom with tub, shower and
is designed to spoil those who deserve to be. A guest favorite.
    The Baxter: $99-$125
Overlooking the gardens the Baxter room is the perfect retreat to unwind. Soft & luxurious terry robes provided to cross the hall to your private bath with shower. Guest will enjoy this bathrooms restored antique claw-foot tub original to the house. Wonderful for bubble baths!
