The Inn at St John is located on the West End of Portland, 2.5 miles from the Portland International Jetport, 1.5 miles from the Old Port / Waterfront, 0.8 miles from the Portland Transportation Center, 0.5 miles from the arts district. We offer a free cab ride from the jetport and the transportation center to the Inn. Rate includes: continental breakfast, parking, cable, wireless internet, robes, and air conditioning. We are a completly smoke free property. Children and pets welcome!

Quaint Inn with beautifully appointed rooms. We felt it was a great value for the price! The reception area staff were extremely helpful with completing a complicated computer scanning & faxing situation that I needed help with. We would definitely stay there again!

This hotel is wonderful! We spent there only one night (unluckily) but everything was perfect. The rooms were very clean and big, the atmosphere special. You have absolutely to go there! Luisa & Amily, Roma

Room 5A with a double bed and in-room private bath was clean and lovely, but only just big enough. Very tight quarters particularly in the bathroom - (shower, no tub). But we were only there to sleep after a concert at the State Theater - a very reasonable walk in reasonable weather. Or we were told it would be about $7 in a cab. Local bus (#1) stop is only steps away. I did not hear any noise from any other guests and street noise was actually quite minimal. I'm a country girl, so this is important to me. Staff (Jeffrey) was incredibly informed and helpful. Continental breakfast was more than adequate: coffee, tea, fruit, dry cereal, bagels, yogurt, more. Coffee and tea were out all the time as well as cookies in the afternoon and evening. There was also a coffee maker and fridge in the room. Free parking rounds out the sweet deal, and you can leave a vehicle after check-out. There is no lack of places to find something to eat within a short or really short walk. The Inn shares a parking lot with a Chinese restaurant. And of course - you're in Portland. Enjoy your stay.

I've stayed here before when traveling to Portland. I enjoyed the experience that I booked it again. Inn is very clean and staff is very attentive. Short drive or walk to downtown. Inn was close to the ball park. Dunkn donuts and the pizza restaurant/sports bar across the street is a good place to grab a bite to eat and get a drink. When traveling to Portland again I will definitely stay here again.

I needed a place to stay just for one night, and booked one of the twin rooms. It's small but comfortable and clean, the staff is great and very friendly, and the continental breakfast has several options that would keep anyone happy. I paid about $52 for my stay with tax, but even the bigger and slightly pricier rooms are worth it and a great value, especially considering the prices of other places to stay in Portland. Stay here; you won't regret it! I know I'll definitely stay here again if I'm in the area!
