Orland House B&B

  • Inn Details

Built in 1820 by Henry Partridge, this welcoming home has carved moldings, beautiful built-ins and wide planked floors. The house is nestled in the foothills of Orland. A white steepled Church and country store help make this a perfect New England Village. Many attractions and recreational opportunities are within driving distance, however, for those of you who enjoy quiet times, we offer you a spot to relax with a book in front of the fireplace or to sit on the lawn and enjoy the Narramissic River. A full breakfast is served.

Cindy and Alvion Kimball are wonderful host, from the time you walk in, until the time you leave, you are part of their home, It was the first time my parents had ever stayed in a B&B, The weekend was planned for my Father's 50 year award, and wanted it to be the best weekend ever, and it was. To get up and look across to the river, to see this wonderful view, to be part of this great old home, it sits in a carming village, great antique shop within walking distance, I can't wait until the next trip so to plan the next visit to this wonderful place.

My boyfriend and I were on our way to Baltimore, Maryland from Shelburne, Nova Scotia, when a snow storm convinced us to find a place to stay for the night in Maine. From the voice that answered the phone - warm and welcoming despite the late hour, to the mulled wine we received when we arrived - hot and delicious, to the bedroom we were given - gorgeous and antiqued, to the homemade breakfast - oatmeal like I've NEVER seen before and a fritatta to die for, the Orland House made an impression neither of us will ever forget. It was our first stay at a bed and breakfast, but won't be our last! We bought a gift certificate for my relatives in Nova Scotia and expect to stay there again ourselves during our next up north.

Our entire family stayed at the Orland house to attend a wedding. Our hosts graciously accomodated our ADA needs and made us feel at home. Excellent job!!!
