My Husband and I stayed at the "Scotch Hill Inn" in Ogunquit in May for an anniversary trip and It was fantastic! We arrived to the smell of freshly baked cookies-and some ready for eating. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfasts that Kathleen made for us were truly special! They were the best breakfasts we have ever had-anywhere- in Maine! The warm hospitality we recieved from Kathleen and Michael was exceptional.I have been traveling to Ogunquit for 30 years now,my husband for 20&This is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed at in Ogunquit. The location is great-you dont need your car ,it is within walking distance to the beach, marginal way, shops etc.We happened to pick a couple of rainy days to travel there, but, we didn't care-it was still fun walking down to the beach, shopping etc..We can't wait to go back !

Still full from the amazing breakfasts!

This was the perfect place to enjoy fall on the southern Maine coast! It's a quick walk from the Marginal Way to head into Perkins Cove or a short distance from the restaurants of Main St. Every morning brought a new amazing breakfast combination from homemade yogurt to fresh apple pancakes to eggs benedict. Think we gained about 10lbs, but it was worth every bite!

    Wonderful experience!

I stayed at the Scotch Hill Inn a weekend in September. I had seen the inn on a previous visit to Ogunquit and had liked the appearance on the ourside, so I decided to stay at the inn on my next visit. The inside was just as appealing as the outside. I must say that if one is looking for the impersonality and detachedness of a hotel, then this is not the place to stay. Innkeepers Joanne and Cheryl take a personal interest in their guest on an individual basis in an effort to not just to make their stay pleasant but also to make sure that each guest finds his or her way around Ogunquit and are directed to features of the town that might appeal to their individual tastes. I stayed in Room 1, I believe the smallest of the rooms, but perfect for my stay. Clean, charming and comfortable. And accomodations were made for me to check in earlier than the normal check-in time. A very enjoyable stay!

    Amazing, wonderful, better than home!!

What a perfect find in the beautiful town of Ogunquit. This was our first trip to Ogunquit and it definitely won't be our last! Innkeepers Joanne & Cheryl were terrific and we felt like we were staying with friends! From our initial time of booking online (with ease I will add!!) Joanne was in constant communication and very accomodating with my request to have a bottle of wine and beautiful roses waiting for us upon arrival in the room. She sent suggestions for activities and restaurants in the area and even booked dinner reservations for us. The day prior to our departure she even printed off our boarding passes for our flight home! She was so friendly and helpful from start to finish. Our third floor room was beautifully decorated and had a wonderful jetted tub. It was bright and cheery and exceptionally clean. The Inn is centrally located and within walking distance of everything in downtown Ogunquit - beach, shops, Marginal Way, restaurants, spa. There is offstreet parking just for the Inn guests as well. My review would not be complete without mention of the gourmet breakfasts that Joanne & Cheryl (and Joanne's sister) cooked each morning! Amazing stuffed french toast, blueberry pancakes, pecan waffles, eggs made to order, fresh fruit, yogurt, delicious breakfast potatoes and your choice of bread and juices. They even accomodated an early breakfast one morning when we had to leave for a lighthouse tour. In a nutshell, the Scotch Hill Inn is much more than just a place to sleep. It's a place even better than home with the exceptional service provided by Joanne & Cheryl !!

Relaxing, comfortable, and in the middle of everything.

Stayed 4 nights over memorial weekend, and they were the best 4 nights we've stayed anywhere. We were welcomed by Joanne & Cheryl and felt right at home. The room was very clean and the house is beautiful! Breakfast on the porch was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The specials every morning were delicious and well prepared. The beach was just a few blocks away; and the center of town was just a block away, so all the cute little shops and amazing food were right at our finger tips. We loved it.
