This is my family's fourth year staying at Nebo Lodge. We have stayed in three of the newly rennovated rooms and they are all beautiful and comfortable. The bathrooms are updated but in keeping with the historical feel of the inn. I love the mix of coastal maine with down-home comfort. This is the first year we were given keys to our room. (I actually miss not having keys - felt safe and carefree and unique to the island) I would recommend the island and Nebo Lodge to all my friends and family. We will be back for a fifth year!

    a great getaway!

My second visit to Nebo--fresh food, a chef who does wonders with oysters & champagne-shallot sauce, each meal is a delight. The Inn is very casual, comfortable, pleasant and relaxed, situated right in the small town, with views of the harbor, a short distance to tennis, golf and sailing...You never know who you'll run into there! I love it!

In the midst of sweet little village, with glimpses of the working harbor and terrific food.

When you travel to North Haven, Maine, to get to the Nebo Lodge you will not regret it. Rockland and the ferry are adventures, and soon after you cross the Piscataqua River Bridge in New Hampshire you can exhale and begin your vacation. The ultimate destination is magical. Throw a cotton sweater and Swiss Army Knife in your bag and go. Picnics, bike rides and romance await you.

Delectable menu, beautiful inn, lovely island

I have stayed at Nebo several times and enjoyed my visits immensely. The inn is a beautiful victorian in the heart of the quaint North Haven village, an easy and scenic ferry ride from Rockland. The long front porch with wicker seats greets you, there is a lovely deck out back with loads of flowers and comfy chairs. Recent renovations include the new extended bar (indoor/outdoor) and new suites upstairs. The guest rooms are clean and beautifully decorated in Angela Adams textiles with an island feel. The food is outstanding, from fresh baked muffins and island eggs in the morning to a dazzling array of epicurean delights (island-sourced) on the evening menu. if you enjoy beautiful views, riding bikes, exploring rocky beaches and collecting shells, hiking to a peak to see a stunning view, taking a tour with a lobsterman, enjoying a concert at night, kayaking between the islands - or just relaxing on a quiet island and eating incredible food, this is a place you should visit.
