Langor in the outdoor jacuzzi hot tub under the stars, attend live theatre, boat, hike, ski, sled, skate, fish, golf, go bargain outlet and antique shopping or horseback riding. The estate was once the home of the Woolworth family (of five and dime store fame) and in the mid 1900's was a gentlemen's racehorse farm of Norman Woolworth, Jr. This gracious home has been lovingly restored to its original grandeur. You will feel pampered in any one of our 8 uniquely decorated spacious guestrooms, each having its own private bath. We also have a private guest carriage house with two bedrooms, full kitchen and living quarters. We have two wheelchair accessible rooms on first floor as well.

We offer "down home" hospitality in a relaxed country environment, surrounded by the classic natural beauty of Maine. Writers and artists will be inspired by our rural beauty and spectacular view over Lake Cobbossee. Those who need a mini vacation will be sated. Business travelers welcomed.

# 1 From the South: Take EXIT 86, the Sebbatus/Lisbon Exit off Rte 95. At the end of the exit ramp, take a left and proceed about a half mile
# 2 Turn Right onto Pleasant Hill Road
# 3 Proceed one mile to STOP sign. Cross the intersection, which is rte. 9/126 and continue straight. You will then be on Route 132.
# 4 Proceed on Rte 132 for approximately eight miles into Monmouth
# 5 Landmarks as you head toward Monmouth center are Kelly's greenhouse and then the Monmouth Post Office on the right.
# 6 Once past the Monmouth Post office, take a Right onto Pleasant Street/route 135 Note: This is not the same Pleasant Hill road that you traversed previously, and Take care NOT to turn before the Post office onto Maple Street. )
# 7 Follow Route 135 for approximately 5 miles. Watch for the white split rail fence and the A Rise and Shine sign on your LEFT. Turn left into the driveway and await a warm welcome.

Minimum stay required (Two night minimum on selected weekends and holidays.)

Deposit amount required (A 50% deposit, or the cost of one night's stay, whichever is greater, will hold your reservation with the balance due upon arrival. *Please let us know ahead if you need special accommodations*)

Cancellations:
If a written cancellation is made prior to 14 days of the arrival date, there will be a full refund, less a $20 fee. If cancellation is made within 14 days of arrival, but more than 48 hours, the guest is responsible for the deposit. Within 48 hours, the guest is responsible for the full amount unless the room can be re-rented.
