Drop whatever you’re doing this second and go make a reservation at 5 Lakes Lodge in Millinocket Maine. It will be the best thing you do for yourself. Rick and Debbie LeVasseur have hospitality down to an art form. Their rooms are beautiful and all have wonderful views of the lakes and a spectacular view of Mt. Katahdin. Their beds are the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Debbie’s breakfasts, sized to make most lumberjacks happy, are delicious. The presentation and selection were outstanding. Their extensive knowledge and love for the area are generously shared with all their guests. 5 Lakes Lodge is by far the best B & B we have ever experienced. Outstanding doesn't even come close to describing the property, the lodge, the rooms, and the owners. This is an upscale accommodation that is second to none. The location is fantastic, built on a peninsula with water on 3 sides of the property. The view from the main room. the kitchen and from each of the bedrooms is fabulous, overlooking the lake. The Lodge itself is gorgeous - no tired antiques and flowery wallpaper here. The inside is all beautiful wood, with leather couches - very classy decor. Our room was upstairs, had a fabulous king sized bed that faced the picture window over the lake. Two really comfortable easy chairs sit in front of the windows. The bathroom is really upscale with a whirlpool tub and separate shower. The room has a small fridge as well as a TV and VCR. We swam twice while there. The waterfront and water is super clean! We didn't get a chance to use the canoes or kayaks but they are there for the guests to use. Rick and Debbie are amazing hosts. They really did go out of their way to accomodate us. As we had to be at Baxter State Park by 7:00 a.m. I asked if we could just get a bagel ourselves, before we left, but Debbie insisted on getting up and serving us a full breakfast. Her breakfasts are fabulous!! No need for lunch! Because we were there duriing the incredible heat wave, Rick asked if we would like an air conditioner in our room. Again, I would never expect a host to do that. Rick and Debbie have a wealth of experience and knowledge about the area. Engage them in conversation and you will have a ton of fun and learn a lot too. (Ask Rick about the bunnies!!) We sat and talked with them both evenings and had an incredible time. No one could ever be disappointed staying at 5 Lakes Lodge. We look forward to returning, and next time not for just 2 nights.

This was our 3rd year at 5 Lakes Lodge. We fell in love with the surroundings, the rooms, the service, and oh my!, the innkeepers Debbie and Rick. Steve and I came here 3 years ago simply hoping that the lakes and Maine might be a match for our tastes. What we found was an incredible rustic flavored luxury combined with something that felt like being with the kind of friends and people you always had at your side. Rick and Debbie, the Innkeepers, are ever do delightful and friendly, honest, warm, and knowledgeable about everything Katadhin area and beyond that a traveler could possibly want to know. On top of that, they freely offer their kayaks, maps, advice, caring information and expertise to each and every guest no matter where they are headed next or what their plans are for the next couple of hours/day/wknd. Oh, and let's talk about Debbie's extraordinary breakfasts!!!!! She and Rick together serve gourmet breakfasts that consists of juice choices and coffees/teas (that Rick serves as he informs you of the day's weather and chats with each of you) while Debbie takes your order for breakfast. I won't give away her incredible offerings. Just know that you will never ever walk away feeling hungry! Steve and I often skipped lunch and breakfast lasted us well through evening. Enjoy the sunset boat rides they treat their guest to! We also enjoyed the most wonderful fireworks displays from the middle of the lakes. What more can I say! I know what I can say - I will be terribly saddened if I find that this review makes the lodge so popular that I can no longer make our annual reservation!

From the moment we arrived, our hosts welcomed us into their home and, for our short stay, we were part of their family. From our room on the second floor, we had a jaw-dropping view of South Twin Lake with all of the Mount Katahdin peaks framing the horizon. The ceiling fan provided a pleasant breeze while the loons lulled us to sleep. We awoke the first morning to the smell of breakfast. Our hosts served us delicious breakfasts each day as we enjoyed the company of the other guests. The lodge had a common fire-placed living room and a common loft to sit and relax. Outside, there was a wonderful beach area, camp fire area and a nice lawn and chairs to just sit and rest. Swimming in the lake was wonderful. The lodge provided canoes and kayaks for use at any time, included with our stay. We were also treated to a pontoon boat ride one morning where we got an excellent tour of the lake and its wildlife. We were provided maps and excellent directions and guidance for each of the activities we were interested in pursuing. Baxter State Park is only 30 minutes away. After our hike of Katahdin, the hot tub in our room was great! Everything about our stay far exceeded our expectations.

We had a fantastic time. Debbie and Rick, the owners, offered warm hospitality, great suggestions, local information, and delicious breakfasts. The view can't be beat - both inside and outside. We have just returned from a wonderful week at 5 Lakes Lodge. What a beautiful setting! We enjoyed the stillness, especially falling asleep to the sound of waves and the calls of loons. The view of Mt. Katahdin from our front window was glorious. Our room was comfortable, clean, and rustically elegant with free wireless internet available. The innkeepers, Debbie and Rick, are so hospitable and available to assist guests. Debbie’s breakfasts are delicious. For the main aim of our trip, kayaking on quiet bodies of water, Rick’s intimate knowledge of the region’s lakes, ponds, and rivers and of the extensive network of logging roads was invaluable. As lifelong residents of the area, they possess a treasure trove of information. Twice during the week we were there, Rick and Debbie took guests out on their pontoon boat to see the five lakes that abut the lodge. These were delightful outings, especially seeing a bald eagle nest with twin eaglets and their parents.

We stayed at 5 Lakes Lodge for five nights and rank it as the best of any B&B we have stayed at. We were there for rest and quiet after stressful family care-giving and we got exactly what we wanted and needed. But the beautiful part is, the people who were there for excitement and adventure also got just what they wanted and needed. Rick and Debbie were generous and gracious and being from Millinocket, their advice was excellent. Each place/trail/person they directed us to was a pleasure. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and the view is spectacular. For a day and a half we just sat and drank in the exquisite view. Even if we had done nothing else, that alone would have been worth the trip. And the breakfasts were carefully, individually, and beautifully prepared. Room Tip: All rooms have the same spectacular view.

Though it might seem that simply 'met expectations' isn't good enough, I expected a top-notch stay...and that is what I indeed enjoyed. Plus, with the help of owners Rick & Debbie, their maps, suggestions, stories, and overall hospitality, our stay was that much more memorable. Here's my review: I had bookmarked their website months ago, knowing this was a place I wanted to visit. And now, after a too-brief two-night stay, I can add my dittos to the several reviews I have just browsed (all 'excellent', I might add, and you won't find that very often). Let me add that Rick and Debbie's two wonderful dogs, Amber and Samantha, added their charm to the surroundings, though it's hard to add to what you'll find at this lodge. The lodge, rooms, views, breakfasts, and hosts' guidance are spectacular. There's so much to see, and do, so close by, yet I wish I had made more time for another canoe or kayak (on premises, so no need to bring your own) outing right from 5 Lodge's backyard (or is it the front?) on beautiful South Twin Lake...looking right at Katahdin. And, even though Rick and I were watching the Boston Bruins win game 7 of the Cup finals, we had to turn the sound down several times just to hear the laughs and crys of the loons under that night's full moon. I'm proud of myself for NOT even asking if internet access was available (free or otherwise), and used my laptop ONLY for transferring a couple hundred photos off my very busy camera. A positively 'impressive' experience all-around...and I hope we'll be back (wintertime would also seem like a fantastic choice if you're a snowmobiler).

This place is a MUST see. The rooms are gorgeous, the view is spectacular, the food is delicious (thank you Debbie) and Rick and Debbie are such gracious and down to earth hosts that I was sad to have to leave. It exceeded our expectations and that is always a bonus. I Can't say enough about this place or how peaceful it made me feel. Go and find out for yourself and enjoy a relaxing (romantic) atmosphere. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the 5 Lakes Lodge Bed and Breakfast. The entire extended weekend was wonderful. I can't imagine a more perfect view of Mt Katahdin than from our most comfortable and relaxing room. The hosts were the most pleasant B&B owners we have ever met. They were more than helpful with dining and recreation advice. We would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone desiring a North Woods getaway. The weather also cooperated and made the trip PERFECT.

My husband and I went to 5 Lakes Lodge for our anniversary. I can definitely say that it exceeded my expectations! The view of Mt. Katahdin from our bedroom was absolutely spectacular! Rick and Debbie were also the best B&B hosts we have ever met! From the pontoon boat ride, to the delicious breakfasts, to the overall ambiance of the lodge...they were wonderful! They made us feel right at home! My husband and I can't wait to visit the Lodge again!

No spa, but beautiful, calming sunsets. No swimming pool, but right on a chain of stunning natural lakes. No fitness center, but canoes, kayaks, hiking trails, and the Great North Woods, loons and all, right outside your door. A beautifully maintained and welcoming place, perfect after a long day hiking. The hosts are from Millinocket, with wonderful suggestions on where to eat, what to see on the Golden Road...and if you like hiking, ask them to arrange lunch at the hike-in Wilderness Camp on Lake Katahdin.

My husband & I decided we would take a trip to Maine & instead of booking lodging for a week we would just see where our journey took us. Our first 3 days we stayed in Bar Harbor, the coast and Acadia National Park were beautiful. After a few days, we grew tired of the "tourist scene". It was crowded & since we both deal with a lot of people & traffic during our everyday life, we wanted some peace & quiet-so we headed North. Lucky for us we happened across 5 Lakes Lodge! We knew this was exactly what we were looking for,a beautiful lodge, surrounded by a pristine lake, away from the hustle and bustle. This was our first experience in a B&B and if we had to describe it in one word, it would be AMAZING! Our host's Rick & Debbie (& Amber) were absolutely great, we felt like we were staying with friends. One of the best part's by far was Debbie's incredible breakfast (10 star's). Rick was so helpful in helping us plan our day trips, giving us detailed maps and suggestions on where to see wildlife and do some hiking (we did see a moose!). We only planned on staying two night's but could not resist staying an extra night. The lodge rooms have everything you need and more. The craftsmanship and details that went into making the lodge and all the rooms is astonishing. There were so many things we loved about the rooms,the Jacuzzi tub, the furnishings, the bed was incredible and the view is as beautiful as you can imagine. Rick & Debbie took us out on the boat to grab dinner across the lake at the Loose Moose, we had a blast! If you're looking for a place to get away for some peace & quite, relaxation and to experience nature's beauty, 5 Lakes Lodge is where you will find it. There are plenty of places to eat in town as well as lots of things to do, including canoeing, kayaking, white water rafting, boating, fishing or just sitting by the lake relaxing. Debbie and Rick are probably the two most congenial and delightful people anyone could imagine! Debbie pampers their guests with an incredible breakfast each morning and also can accommodate dietary needs with a smile. The rooms are immaculate and there is no such thing as a room without a spectacular view. The loons lull you to sleep following a busy day moose watching, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, swimming, or the like. We kayaked around the lake and islands and it was spectacular. There was no charge for the kayak usage. On top of that, Debbie and Rick treated guests to wonderful boat rides around the lake. We took fabulous photos of the eagles' nest, the loon "family" (with baby loon climbing aboard Mama Loon's back for a safe ride) and a tour of the islands within the 5 lake area. We could not have hoped for anything more wonderful. The sunsets with Katadhin in the background were incredible. We can't wait to go again! This was our second stay and Debbie and Rick feel like old friends now. This place should NOT be missed! Chrys and Steve

We wanted something special for my wife's 73rd birthday, and we got it. All rooms overlook the lake, which during our three days was placid, white-capped, or storm-driven, depending on when you looked. At night all was silent except for the lake lapping at the shore and the cool breezes. It was so quiet that it was a good thing the sun came up in the morning to awaken us. The breakfasts were hearty, imaginative, healthy and tasty. Our hosts were a great source of information on what-to-do in the area. A Katahdin Air seaplane picked us up at the Lodge's private beach for a birthday scenic air tour -- a story in itself. From the same beach we went canoeing and others went kayaking or swimming. We had lively conversations with the other guests and hosts around the breakfast table, on the beach, and in the fireplaced common area. Our room and bath was immaculate and very comfortable. All in all it was a delightful three days.

Our three night stay in June at 5 Lakes Lodge was above our expectations. No bait and switch here. If you are interested in a serene setting, the peaceful beauty of the lake and a view of Mt Katahdin this is the place for you. The rooms were exactly as shown on the website. We stayed in the Pemadumcook, an end room with the benefit of an additional window for another view of the lake, and a bathroom window with another view. We would be happy in any of the five rooms as they all have the same view from the comfort of plush king-sized beds. The rooms and common areas were very clean and furnished comfortably. Debbie prepared her special breakfast recipes every morning. Each one different, delicious and filling. We especially liked the stuffed french toast. Rick and Debbie are extremely knowledgeable of the area: roads, trails, lakes, and dining options. My husband was hiking the AT so Rick helped in the planning and drove him to an obscure drop-off point on the trail so that he could accomplish more mileage in his quest to eventually hike the entire AT. He even provided him with a personal GPS device in case he became injured on the trail. They included us on a pontoon boat ride around the lakes one afternoon and pointed out wildlife as well as telling us the history of the area. The next evening we shared an evening on the speed boat with them and other family members and a trip across the lakes to Fredericka's Restaurant. We had a great time meeting locals and having good food and conversation. There are canoes and kayaks available for your use so we couldn't leave without trying them out. Paddling the kayaks around the lake was a first for us, easy and enjoyable since the water was like glass. Yes, we would return to 5 Lakes and as life becomes hectic we remember the low-key pace of the area, the beauty, and the hospitality of our hosts.

...and there isn't enough room on this website to extoll all the virtues of 5 Lakes Lodge. The lodge, its rooms, furnishings, ambiance, views and natural setting are perfection; the owners are warmth and hospitality embodied and the breakfasts are wicked awesome! It doesn't get any better than 5 Lakes Lodge - in every aspect - but don't take my word for it...it's something you can only truly appreciate when you experience it firsthand. This was our 2nd stay at 5 Lakes Lodge and we hope to make a pilgrimage back as often as we possibly can!

This is a "must see to believe" experience! Debbie and Rick make you feel just like family in this beautiful lodge in the woods on a beautiful lake! I would highly recommend the larger of the rooms because they have three exposures to the surroundings and are quite spacious; however, the other rooms are also outstanding. The breakfasts are unbelieveably delicious and prepared individually for each guest. It's a super place to relax or explore the surrounding areas. Restaurants are in a neighboring town and are very good.

We stayed two nights from 25-27th June 2009. Rick & Debbie were really great hosts. The breakfast was delicious, the room (Pemadumcook) was spacious, very well equipped and we had a tremendous view over the lake(s) and up to the Mount Katahdin (if we were able to see him through the clouds). We took a trip with one of the canoes and enjoyed the area. If we wouldn't live a bit too far away (Germany) we would visit Rick and Debbie more often... But we will be back...

Rick and Debbie couldn't have been more gracious hosts serving delicious food and suggesting great hiking trip and adventures. This was our first stay in a Bed and Breakfast, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Exactly as advertised and more!

Though we are not serious hikers at all, we were excited to visit the Baxter State Park/Mt. Katahdin area. Our choice of lodging could not have been better. The location is perfect and Rick and Debbie are wonderful hosts. They were most helpful in guiding us "in the right direction" for the best sights. We can't wait to go back!

This is a must visit place! Rick and Debbie are the best innkeepers we have met in some time. You feel so welcome as you arrive and stay. Our last night at the lodge my husband and I were invited to join Rick & Debbie and some of their friends for dinner at a local restaurant, we had a wonderful time. It was so nice to spend time with the "locals". We found everyone that we met on our walks around the area to be very friendly and warm. We will be back!!

We stayed two nights at 5 Lakes Lodge and are ready to go again. The hospitality of Rick and Debbie is amazing. When I called to tell them we would arrive at check-in, I was told to come as soon as I wanted as the room was ready. Both Rick and Debbie were very willing to help us plan the next couple days on the Golden Road and hiking in Baxter State Park. They were very knowledgable of the area and were able to match activities to our interests. Rick was always ready to help us make connections with other people offering services in the area. Rick and Debbie convinced us to go kayaking on the lake and assured me of the safety since I have never been in a kayak. They also took the guests out on a pontoon ride on the lake where we spotted an eagle and a moose. The lodge is a spectacular place to relax after hiking and exploring. Both mornings we awakened to delicious breakfasts made to order and fresh baked that morning. Debbie was careful to ask about food related allergies the evening before. The seating was arranged so that you could choose to sit alone or join with other guests. Rick and Debbie were always willing to visit and the atmosphere with all of the guests was very social. They also knew how to balance that friendliness so we had plenty of time alone and felt like a couple on vacation. This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and we are eager to return! A great experience!

Everything about 5 Lakes Lodge was wonderful! Debbie and Rick are very gracious hosts and make you feel so at home. They are very knowledgeable and filled with great tips on what to see in the area. The filling breakfast was delicious! Every room has an awesome view of the lake and surrounding mountains. It was fun to use their canoe to see more of the lake. We highly recommend 5 Lakes Lodge. You won't be disappointed.

The lodge is perfect, but the scenery I think is one of the best in America! I say this as someone who has been to all 48 lower states. The owner, Rick, is wonderful. I will go back and recommend to everyone I know!

My mother and I stayed here for one night, in the beautiful Ambejejus room. The views of Mt. Katahdin and the like were divine. Deb and Rick were very warm hosts, and helpful -- how to find dinner, a moose, a glass of wine to watch the sunset, whatever. The room was made of premium materials and didn't lack anything. The inn was designed with exquisite detail. We enjoyed our short stay and breakfast at 5 Lakes Lodge.

My husband and I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before. I had a preconceived notion about having to share facilities and such. In my mind, it was maybe a step above camping, which is not a particular favorite. Those notions went out the window when we pulled up to the 5 Lakes Lodge. It is as gorgeous as it looks on the website. Sometimes things online don't appear as they are in person. This definitely was a win!! We were greeted by Debbie LeVasseur as if we were old friends. She gave us a tour of the house and it got better and better with each room! The views from all the rooms were beautiful. It was a cold weekend in November, and the mountain in the distance was snow covered and very picturesque. The entire place has tile flooring, but is not cold underfoot-Thank you radiant heat!!! The rooms all had their own bathroom-which was a huge win for me. Jacuzzi tub, shower, etc. Very clean throughout the house. The next morning we got up to go on our way and Debbie was up and ready to fix us breakfast. Homemade muffins and raspberry stuffed french toast...coffee, juice or whatever we asked. It was a fabulous way to start off the day...we chatted with Debbie and Rick throughout breakfast-extremely pleasant people. We go so involved in conversation that we left for our next destination about an hour late!!! Overall it was a great experience. We are looking to return during the summer to catch the area in a different season! Definitely recommended!!!!

We had the privilege of spending a long, rainy weekend at 5 Lakes Lodge, and, like virtually everyone else who finds their way there, we fell under the spell of the place, and the view, and especially the proprietors, Rick and Debbie LeVasseur. 5 Lakes Lodge isn't all that far from our home in Maine, but we left feeling like we had gotten far away, to a place of beauty, relaxation, and warm friendship. Anyone who has ever even remotely considered spending some quality time in Maine, should put 5 Lakes Lodge at the top of their list of places to stay. You will never regret it. (In the interests of full disclosure, I've been a professional journalist most of my adult life, and I don't believe in blowing smoke. And there is no exaggeration in any of the above comments. We look forward to returning to 5 Lakes Lodge. Having had the pleasure of enjoying top ten rate B&Bs elsewhere, we can say with confidence and enthusiasm, that Rick and Debbie offer an experience that ranks right up there with the best of them.)

It felt like we were visiting our aunt and uncle LeVasseur! Rick and Debbie were so very kind and treated us like family. The setting couldn't be more beautiful, and hospitality was supurb! The breakfast served was delicious and very filling! This is truly the best bed and breakfast you will find.

Debbie and Rick have created a wonderful lodge! Food Debbie's breakfasts are both delicious and filling- the perfect way to fuel up for a day spent on the trails or water. During our three night stay she prepared stuffed french toast, banana nut/blueberry pancakes and veggie omelets. Each breakfast began with a different (and yummy) 'coffee cake' and each entree was served with a side of protein (bacon, sausage, ham). Customer Service Rick and Debbie were both extremely helpful in recommending driving directions, hiking trails and dining options. Though we brought our own kayaks (and had a lovely time paddling on South Twin Lake) we were also pleased to see the loaner canoes and kayaks available for use by guests and watched a few fellow lodgers happily take advantage of them. Accomodations The lodge is extremely clean (love the bathrooms and tile floors!) and Amber, the dog, is as welcoming as her hosts. Each room is equipped with air tubs and electric fireplaces/stoves. We didn't use the fireplace since it was so warm outside (August) but think it would be especially lovely to use following a day spent snowmobiling, snow shoeing or skiing. The rooms are also very sound proof, you can only barely make out your neighbors air tub when in use (I've stayed in other B&Bs where the whirlpool tubs can keep you up all night so this was really great!). All in all a wonderful stay and we can't wait to return! D & P (NJ)

This lodge seems perfect for a couple---for privacy---comfort---relaxation. The lodge has only five units---so it's quiet and exclusive. Each room/unit has a jacuzzi, so it's deluxe. Each room has a tiled floor, so it's absolutely clean. The kingsize beds have cotton quilts, so it's confortable. Each room faces the lake and the mountains, so the view from your bed is as if you are on a ship---peaceful view. Debbie makes breakfast and Rick talks about the area, so you are well fed and know where you are in the world. Such attention to detail---Deb uses loon-patterned china in the summer and cardinal china in the winter. They are so friendly. The public rooms are beautiful---high, looking out at the lake, and binoculars on the table. The loons are swimming and trilling. Rick and Deb let you use their kyaks---and it is so comfortable to paddle on the lake which is a mild temperature, and you can swim. This is all located at the end of the Appalacian Trail---so you can go hiking in the woods and look for moose and eat wild blueberries. We saw four moose; lots of frogs, a fox, loons, marvelous clouds shifting and moving over the mountain and lake, the lake changing from green to deep magenta. Did you know Thoreau climbed Mt. Katahdin? You can't do it unless you are an equipped hiker/climber.We stayed four nights. We liked this area much better than the coastal area of Maine. We would have liked better weather---it turned rainy---and summer does that in Maine---but it always seemed as if it cleared up quickly or when we went out to hike---maybe 20 miles away---the sun was shining, there. We wish we had a house like this, ourselves.

When we arrived it was raining and when we left it was raining. We were able to look past the rain and enjoy because of Rick and Debbie's hospitality. We could not have asked for better people to stay with. They went above and beyond what was expected and provided a great experience. When we left we felt like friends more than customers. We will absolutely return for another visit.

What a find! Five Lakes is a gem. Beautifully designed and impeccably maintained, the lodge offers breathtaking views of Mount Katahdin by day and a skyful of stars at night. Our stay here was very comfortable and wonderfully relaxing. Debbie and Rick served a generous breakfast each morning and were happy to share their knowledge of the region, giving us many helpful tips with regard to dining and hiking. We'll definitely be back, and we'll recommend Five Lakes to family and friends.

A lovely bed and breakfast in every respect. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the views from the lodge were magnificent. This is a special place for those who truly want to "get away from it all".

Couldn't ask for more!

5 Lakes Lodge is an amateur astonomer's dream. My wife did the reservation for the week of July 4, 2008, with the intention of doing some hiking far away from the crowds. When I looked it on the map, I realized the place is literally in the middle of 'nowhere'. A quick check on the light pollution map, cleardarksky.com, showed that this place must be really dark. So I packed my 15" Dobs together with my hiking gear. We got to 5 Lakes Lodge after a long drive from Boston. It was worth the effort: this B&B and its premises are spectacular. The whole premise is on South Twin Lake, on a small peninsula. The rooms are rustic style and luxurious. From every room you can see the lake and mount Katahdin. The lodge is big, spacious, new construction. It is 10 miles away from the closest town, Millinocket. We had two nights of great observing. I set up the Dobs on the premise. The lawn is large enough so that the lodge does not obstruct the sky at low elevations. This darkness is what you dream about: perfect sky from horizon to horizon, with stars visible easily at magnitude 7 and beyond. Imagine the glory of the Milky Way....seeing the Andromeda Galaxy and M13 with bare eye.......... Our hosts, Debbie and Rick graciously turned off the lodge's outside lights once they undestood my dark sky addiction. We also had a great time during the day: the area is notorious for its outdoor activities (that's the main reason we got to this place). We did a lot of hiking in Baxter Park, boating and wild life watching. For the amateur astonomer hungry for dark skies I can say that this is the place you want to be: watch the stars at night and the moose during the day.

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here. We stayed for only 2 nights and we wished it could have been more! We had looked at the pictures online and they do not lie. It is absolutely beautiful, just like the pictures. The lodge is immaculately clean, rooms and all. The view is amazing. All of this, however, paled in comparison to Rick and Debbie's hospitality. They are excellent people and bent over backwards to accommodate our plans and desires for our stay. This included providing us with kayaks to use at will, setting us up with a moose tour, reservations at a highly recommended restaurant, and providing us with breakfast earlier so we could hike Mt.Kahtadin. They are truly everything you would want in a B&B innkeeper(s). Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer. Thank you again Rick and Debbie, we will often think back with fond memories of you both. God Bless!

The 5 Lakes Lodge is breathtaking as you pull into the driveway. We were greeted by Rick and Debbie's very nice dog Amber. We were only in town for one night and Rick and Debbie were able to accomodate us despite their two night minimum stay. We arrived an hour ahead of schedule and Debbie showed us right to our room because it was ready for us. We were there for a Moose Safari and needed a bag dinner and Debbie recommended a good little italian deli that made fresh gourmet sandwiches for us. We stayed in the Elbow room and it was complete with an amazing view, fireplace, cable tv, whirlpool tub, mini fridge and more. The bed was very comfortable. I liked that they started breakfast at 7am because we had a long drive home and wanted to get on the road. Breakfast was very good and it was nice to have some time to talk with Debbie. She showed us some pictures of the mill that was there and took our picture before we left. I wished we had more time to stay and enjoy the beautiful sitting area and outside. We would definitely stay there again.
