The main house, built in 1860, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and offers guests their choice of luxurious rooms or spacious two-room suites. Five cottage style buildings surround the expansive lawns and gardens and house 11 spacious cottage suites, offering privacy and flexibility to guests. Tastefully furnished, each of the 17 unique accommodations is decorated with traditional and Victorian appointments, featuring mahogany plantation or four-poster beds, fireplaces and spacious baths, some with whirlpool tubs; some cottage suites with small kitchens. Stroll tree-lined streets to the many fine shops, restaurants and art galleries of Dock Square. Ocean Avenue and the scenic harbor are just a block away.     • Cancellations:
      Full refund of deposit if reservation is cancelled 15+ days in advance of arrival date minus a $25 cancellation fee. If the reservation is cancelled less than 15 days in advance, we will refund the full amount, minus $25 bookkeeping charge if we rebook the room at the full rate.

    Signature impatiens adorn the inviting front porch of Kennebunkport's gracious Maine Stay Inn at the Melville Walker House.Deluxe Fireplace Suite 12-Open the door to this luxurious two-room suite into a spacious living room with striking designer wallpaper, dramatic border, Victorian light fixtures and wood-burning fireplace. French doors lead to an elegant and light-filled queen bedroom with sitting area. Both the bedroom and living room have oval crystal starburst windows adding historic architectural significance. Not to be forgotten are the modern comforts including a private bath with single jetted jacuzzi tub.
    Captain's Deluxe Fireplace Suite 16-Boasting an exquisite king mahogany plantation bed and cozy fireplace, the Captain's Suite offers a private corner of this former Sea Captain's home. The comfotable sitting room with overstuffed microsuede sofa has a flat panel TV and DVD player.  The European bath has an oversized shower.Garden Room - This charming guest room is decorated with a dramatic cranberry colored Waverly wallpaper and furnished with a queen four poster bed, a cozy gas fireplace and TV/VCR.
