Impeccable Inn - right in the Kennebunkport village

3.8 on August 23, 2015

We stayed for the first time this August and were very impressed with Captain Jefferds Inn. First, my wife and I travel a lot and like to stay at nice places. Between us, we probably spend 100-120 nights per year in hotels and resorts. We were super impressed with this Inn for several reasons. First, the location cannot be beaten. You have ample parking and then can walk all overthe Kennebunkport village. Very convenient. Next, the Inn itself is immaculate. You could eat off the floors - literally not a speck of dirt or dust anywhere in the building. That goes for the dining room (breakfast) and sun room where they put out cheese/crackers and baked goods & teas/coffees each afternoon. The people working there were terrific, especially Steve who seemed to genuinely want to help in order to make your stay perfect. The breakfasts were excellent - full cooked breakfasts not just continental. One addition that I think would be nice would be to add a cereal / yogurt / fruit bar. We've seen a lot of B&Bs add this recently and feel it is a nice way to add some choice for the guests. All in all, though, the food quality was top notch. The Inn has good reliable free wifi and bikes you can borrow to explore the outer areas of Kennebunkport (such as the Bush compound, which is only about 1.5 miles away). All in all, we were very happy with our room and the entire stay. We will definitely re-book if we are back in Kennebunkport any time in the future.

Great B & B!

We found the Captain Jefferds Inn via B& B ,com and we're glad we did! WE make it a point to stay at the Inn anytime we are near Kennebunkport!

Great New England getaway!!

5 on August 18, 2015

My fiancée and I spent two nights at the CJI August 2015. I wish I could rate it even higher. We had a top notch experience start to finish. There eye for detail is impeccable. Anything you need for a stellar vacation is at your finger tips. We arrived fairly late and our concierge, Rachel, arranged a last minute dinner reservation for us. She made and cancelled reservations while we were there. Her recommendations for food, drinks, shopping and exploring were spot on. Our breakfasts were a little slice of fine dining. I loved the option of two different eating times. If you want to explore the beach, they will provide you with towels, beach bag, chairs, an umbrella, and beach pass. Bikes are always available for exploring Kennebunkport. Shopping and eating are within a few blocks of the inn. I have no negatives. We stayed in the smallest room, The Hideaway, which fit our needs perfectly. The inn and rooms are spotless and the grounds are beautiful enough to just sit and enjoy the New England air.

Tickled in Texas

Everything was outstanding...wonderful little town to visit! Leaving Texas at 100 degrees, we felt like it was fall of the year - which won't be here until November, if we are lucky!! Dan & Lyn

A Magical Inn

5 on August 11, 2015

We stayed two nights at the Captain Jefferds Inn during our first visit to Kennebunkport and it was, in a word, magical. Sarah and Erik were wonderful and made it feel like we were visiting old friends. The Inn itself is charming and beautiful. It makes you smile as you realize that this will be your temporary home for a few days. The food was fabulous and the banter around the breakfast table was a great way to begin each day. I cannot recommend the Captain Jefferds Inn enough!

Best place to stay in Kennebunkport

Our second visit to this inn. Absolutely the best place to stay in Kennebunkport. Excellent location. Wonderful accommodations.

Edith and Cees from Holland had a warm welcome and a great stay at Captain Jefferds

4.6 on July 05, 2015

Our stay at Kennebunkport and Captain Jefferds was great. We had chosen for the smallest of all rooms but still very convenient. Bycicles were available and the breakfast outstanding. All facilities in the village within walking distance so we could drink a good bottle Of wine at the restaurants we were adviced by the staff.

Such a special place

We vacationed in Maine from Bar Harbor to Kennebunkport and the Captain Jefferds Inn was our final inn. Each place was very highly rated and recommended but I must say Captain Jefferds Inn was one of the most special places I've ever stayed. Sarah and Erik were gracious and friendly, the Inn is beautifully cared for, rooms are finely appointed and immaculately clean and delicious breakfasts were served in a lovely dining room. I hope to return to Kennebunkport and the Captain Jefferds Inn soon. This was a perfect end to a perfect Maine vacation.

Great Ambiance!

This was our second stay at this Inn and we would go back again. We like that it's located within walking distance to the center of town yet it's very peaceful and quiet around and inside the Inn. Service and food were very good and served when they said it would be. For both visits we stayed in the Montpelier room which is very bright and clean, and large compared to some of the other rooms.
