This beautiful 1820's historic home is very comfortable, warm and eye-appealing. Tom is a wonderful host, and the food and rooms were spectacular.

We were impressed with the decor and renovations of this grand, historic house. Tom, the innkeeper, was personable and made us feel right at home.

Beautiful older home -- Lawn "A+". A real treat for us Missouri folks. Son paid for it -- would have stayed there again if up to me. Again -- great little town.

I stayed there for a business trip. They have wireless which was great. Tom the innkeeper was nice enough to put a coffee maker in my room since I wanted coffee very early. Breakfast included a beautiful bowl of fruit. The town of Hallowell is very quaint and the center of town and great places to eat are just a 5 minute walk from the inn. Tom said there were lots of great antique shops also. The inn is extremely well decorated and it does not have a lot of the knick knacks so many inns sometimes have. Lots of antiques, lovely linens, towels and furniture.

    Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

The Benjamin Wales House is a lovingly and beautifully restored Federalist style home in the incredilby quaint town of Hallowell just outside Augusta. When you first enter the grounds you hear the relaxing burble of the watefall incorporated into the gorgeous garden. Two of the room overlook this garden and you can hear the waterfall if you leave your window cracked. The room was artfully decorated and extremely comfortable with high thread count sheets, fantastic locally woven blankets, and super indulgent towels. The breakfast was equally wonderful: huge, yummy homemade muffins, fresh squeezed oj, percolated coffee and wonderful fresh fruit both mornings. As if that weren't enough, one morning we got fluffy scrambled eggs and sausage, and another light pancakes with Tom's own maple syrup. My husband stumbled across this B&B and I have told everyone who will listen, and some who won't!, about how delightful a stay we had.
