October 15, 2012
My husband and our friends visited The Old Saco Inn in October 2012 with the intention to see fall colours.. Pete was very helpful I guiding us to the trails around. I don't think we would have enjoyed the trip had it not been for his helpful tips. Oh and do ask him to guide you to the ice cream shop in the village.. My husband just loved the ice creams there. The inn itself was very beautiful and welcoming.. Loved Sandy's egg bakes in the morning!!
5 out of 5A Wonderful Place to Stay
May 30, 2009
My wife and I spent four nights at the Olde Saco Inn in May celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary. It was our first time there and will not be the last time! Sue and Art were wonderful hosts. We had the property to ourselves for most of our stay. The place is beautiful, the breakfasts were superb and the hospitality was second to none. Enjoyed having wi-fi in my room to stay connected with the outside world. We walked some of their hiking trails on the property which covers 64 acres. They have canoes and kayaks available for use on the Saco River which adjoins their property. Unfortunately during our visit, the mosquitos were out in full force which kept us off the river. The location is near many nice restaurants and not to far a drive to the outlet stores in North Conway, NH.
4.0 out of 5Secluded with canoe privileges
December 26, 2008
We stayed at The Olde Saco Inn in mid October mid week and had the whole place to ourselves! Accomodations were comfortable, Arthur's breakfasts were cooked to order and delicious, but the best part was canoe privileges on the "old course" [tame] Saco River with autumn foliage at the peak!
5 out of 5Nice Suprise!
December 20, 2008
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the inn. It was wonderful! It was our second experience staying at a B&B and what a difference from our first experience at another local B&B! It was amazing! It was so quiet and peaceful. It is a very clean, modern and private location. The hosts were so nice and gave us our space. We are hoping to make it back this winter to do some snowmobiling from the property! A wonderful surprise that we will pass on...
