The ambiance at this B&B was warm and welcoming. Tim is very friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and charming, and the breakfast was excellent. I will stay here again.

This was the first visit to Kendall Tavern Inn for my aunt, but just one of many for me. She was touched that Tim greeted her like an old friend. He and Loree are friendly and gracious. The room was sunny and relaxing. Breakfast was great, including fresh fruit and homemane French toast. We had a wonderful time.

I have shown up at Kendall Tavern every year since 2009. The last time I was there I had not even planned to stay in Freeport, but it was late in the day and I didn't want to drive to MA. I showed up at the door and knocked and Tim opened it up and recognized me right away and gave me a hug and we caught up on our lives and he had a room for me. (3/2012) Recognition of your repeat guests is really key to me along with the easy-going set up they have for their guests. I feel like I am going to visit family and will always keep coming back.

Excellent B&B. This was our second stay; we will return!

This is the fifth year we have stayed at the Inn, and it now feels like home. We always receive a warm welcome and spend at least a half hour chatting about Maine around the kitchen table. After a meal in town, it's time for a hot cup of tea and a tv show downstairs in front of the fireplace where you are apt to meet folks from all over. Cozy and warm, the rooms are very comfortable and up to date. Breakfast is the best; everything from soup to nuts and always a surprise. As long as Time is at the Kendall Tavern Inn, we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

We spent the night at Kendall after an evening of shopping and dining in Freeport. We had stayed in a neighboring B & B the year before and found Kendall to be head and shoulder's above it. Our host, Tim, was very courteous, hospitable and helpful, and went out of his way to meet and exceed evey need. Snow was falling steadily and Tim made sure that our way was clear when we came and went from the inn. Although we only spent a night there, we felt like family. We definitely plan to stay there the next time that we are in Freeport.

My daughter and I stayed overnight at the Kendall Tavern, and had a delightful stay. The living room featured a cosy fireplace where I could read in the evening, the room was lovely, the breakfast was outstanding, and the innkeeper, Tim, was very friendly and hospitable. highly recommended.

I felt this was overpriced for what we received. Room was ok, beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean but could use updating. Had to ask for a hair dryer, which is generally a given in most places. Also there was no television, which I had not noted in the description. Breakfasts, however, were excellent. Host was not there to greet us when we arrived [it was Thanksgiving afternoon, but we were expected] and just left a note by the front door. Otherwise - ok stay. Don't know as I would repeat a visit however.

We stayed at the Kendall Inn for two nights to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely time. The Inn is cute, quaint, and very clean. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and the innkeeper Tim was warm and friendly. He made us feel like old friends! Breakfast was delicious - and with a great presentation taking advantage of the gorgeous autumn maple leaves. We had a huge portion of Amish Egg Bake the first morning with fruit and other sides, and then pumpkin spice pancakes with sausage and fruit the second day. Yummy! We would most definitely stay at the Kendall Tavern B&B again!

Gorgeous B and B in every way. Beautiful presentation, great rooms, fantastic host Tim and to die for breakfasts. No effort is spared by Tim and his team to give you a wonderful experience.

This B & B was easy to find and the host Tim was very accommodating. our only minor issue is we like to sleep with the window open rather than have an A/C unit running and in the room we had we could not do this. Other rooms had windows that could be opened, so just state your preference when booking. Overall we would highly recommend as a place to stay. Ian & Sue, Sydney Aust

The room was a little small, but that is to be expected in a home of this vintage. The overall stay was outstanding and Tim was an excellent host.

Our 2 night stay at Kendall Tavern was extremely comfortable, welcoming and convenient. The room was very nicely decorated and very private. The breakfasts by "Chef Pauline" were absolutely delicious and a treat every morning. We especially enjoyed the friendly banter between her and owner, Tim. Highly recommend Kendall Tavern if you are looking for a B& B in the Freeport/Brunswick area. Withing walking distance to Freeport downtown and a quick drive to Brunswick.

Close to the Center of Freeport Village, so you can walk to shopping and restaurants, yet private and quiet. Love curling up with my book either on the front porch or in the parlor. Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff. Feels like coming staying with a friend.

The Innkeeper, Tim, does an exceptional job at making you feel at home. The breakfast is delicious and you are even offered seconds! Kendall Tavern is in the perfect location....private, yet close to the excitement of downtown Freeport, with easy access to I-95 and U.S. 1 for day trips to Portland, beaches and midcoast. For a real adventure plan for a show at the Maine State Theater in nearby Brunswick. The hospitality at the Inn is wonderful and the breakfast truly outstanding!

Stayed just one night and were overall very pleased with our stay. Very nice to ave the use of the whole house without imposing on hosts. Breakfast was on time, quick and very good. Very relaxing and within walkable distance to everything.

We really enjoyed our stay! Pauline and Tim were fabulous...the room was co.mfy and clean. They were very helpful with findimg places to eat and things to do. The food was delicious...but I am used to staying at places where they gave you a choice...and on the first morning we were not given one. Not that it was too much of a problem...I just HATE tomatoes and peppers and that was what was in the fritata ...so I picked around that.

We are a couple in our early 30s. We chose the Kendall Tavern B&B because of the price offered for such a quaint looking room and location and it did not disappoint. Aside from the lovely and comfortable rooms, Tim and the rest took real good care of us. Breakfast was delicious and filling; and everyone was friendly and very helpful giving us tips and useful advise. We had a lovely time and if every in Freeport again, we would definitely return. By the way, the pictures of rooms on their website is really representative of what the actual rooms look like.

Wonderful in every way. Comfortable, clean, pretty rooms. Excellent, generous breakfasts. Friendly, helpful host. Small town, so can walk down to shops and restaurants. Close to Portland and other towns along the coast. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I enjoyed our visit at the Inn very much. We went early in the season and had the entire house to ourselves. Breakfast was wonderful, the inkeeper was helpful, and we certainly enjoyed our visit. What an relaxing, enjoyable time we had. Thank you for everything.

We just wanted to get away for a night. When we first arrived we where a little worried. After checking in and spending time with Tim, we got right into relaxing. We both love going to Freeport and spending time at theKendall inn just made it better. The inn has a nice comfortable feeling about it, you feel like you have been here before. I recommend this to anyone.

We only had the pleasure to stay at the Kendall Tavern for one night, but we will definitely be returning to stay again. Upon our arrival Tim was friendly, welcoming and eager to make sure we had everything that we needed. We stayed in room seven and the king size bed was extremely comfortable, the only thing that got us out of bed was the smell of bacon in the morning! Tim outdid himself for breakfast and it was delicious. Overall our stay couldn't have been better and we can't wait to return! Thanks Tim!!

First I told my wife we were going to Jareds at Portland Mall to get her another charm for her memory bracelet I had gotten her for Christmas, but I somehow got lost, lol and drove her to the Port Head LightHouse. Where then it was to cold to hang out outdoors, so it just so happened there was a picnic basket in the back of the van filled with fruit, crackers, cheese, cold fried chicken and Fresca in wine glasses. In which I had her place her back to the lighthouse where then I sketched her with the Lighthouse in the background over her shoulder. Not done yet. Then I suggested a nice peacefull drive up coastal 1 into freeport, where I accidently pulled into "The Kendall Tavern bed & Breakfast to turn around, (so she thought, lol). Then She realized we were staying, she cried of course. The stay at the Kendall had to be the icing on the cake. Tim and Loree Rudolph were there to greet us at the door with wonderful hospitality. It so happened no-one else was there. We had a 7 room B&B to ourselves. A private cozy night in a wonderful victorian room with quilts, and a fireplace. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, Tim got up and made me Sara french toast, bacon, fresh fruit, coffee and juice, just awesome. 18 years of marriage and "I win again",lol. Stay here please, You will love them. We had a very relaxing visit with Tim. He was a delightful host and his breakfast was out of this world. Certainly his hospitality will be at the top of our list on our next visit to Freeport. The Mayfields

It was a wonderful stay. Tim the owner could not do enough for us. We enjoyed a pajama party downstairs with other lodgers watching Christmas movies. My granddaughter who is 14, and i were there to shop. Everything in walking distance. We were able to go back in forth with our bags. Sat and had coffee, tea or cocoa with cookies. Then we were back down at the outlet shopping. We will be back next year again for the Twinkle weekend in Freeport!! and staying at the Kendall for sure.

This was a nice stay for a short weekend in Maine when we attended a small college reunion in Harpswell. We particularly appreciated the professional and friendly attention we got from the employees when the owners were unexpectedly called out of town.

My wife and I had a great time in Portland and the stay at the Kendall made the stay even more enjoyable. The food was scrumptious and plenty. The innkeeper was extremely friendly and we had several great conversations. My wife and I missed our flight and the innkeeper was very understanding and reduced the charges to reflect our error, Very exceptional service!

The hosts were personable and friendly and willing to accommodate special requests. The public spaces were charming and inviting. Our second breakfast was outstanding! The special fall touches, such as the use of real leaves in the table decorations and the Oct. themed cloth napkins added a whimsical touch. We would recommend the Inn to to others and would stay there again if we ever travel to Freeport again.

This was a very nice B&B and we highly recommend it. This B&B is very convenient to all the shops and the LL Bean main store in Freeport, as well as all the first class seafood restaurants and entertainment in the Portland, ME area. Highly recommended.

Tim, the owner, is simply the most accommodating individual. My sister and I went to run a race up in Portland, had to rise early and shower afterwards-- no problems whatsoever. This is my go-to spot-- clean, comfortable, and very nice folks.

It was our last night in the U.S. after a two week New England roundtrip on the way to Boston airport, but Loree and Tim gave us a very fine accomodation, and what a breakfast next morning! We can recommend this beautiful B+B to everyone!

The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous.....variety and good portions. The B&B is within walking distance of downtown Freeport which I really liked but it's on a busy street and a bit noisy during night with large trucks. I would go back again and would recommend it to anyone. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful Inn, lovely rooms. Outstanding personal service. Breakfast was pretty fantastic. All of this is due to the warm and caring Inn Keepers. I notice that many guests keep coming back year after year...no doubt because of the warm and friendly attention of Tom and is lovely wife. They went out oftheir way to make our stay great. I will most definitely stay there again.

Owners Tim and Loree Rudolph are a delight. The inn has a wonderful front porch for relaxing or a pre-dinner drink and the home is spotless. Easy walk to all Freeport has to offer. Coffee available around the clock (plus cookies) and our French Toast and Fruit for breakfast was very good. Rooms are a bit cramped with only one chair for sitting and our bathroom had a tiny sink with no place to put gear (there was room for a small chest in the corner which would help immensely). Good place to stay if you travel light!

The room to our surprise was quite small for the price pd. No television in the room,I feel like that would have made our stay better, I have never stayed at a B&B that did not have a tv in the room. The Inn keepers were terrific and the Inn was lovely. The whole area of freeport is wonderful, overall our stay was very nice...

My wife and I recently visited the Freeport area and had a great time. The great weather and sights were complemented by equally great accommodations and service provided to us at the Kendall B&B. Loree and Tim were fantastic hosts and the breakfasts were outstanding. We will definitely try the recipes that Tim created and shared with us but it won't equal our wonderful stay at the Inn and Freeport area. We'll be back.

This was the first time we stayed at this property and were presently surprised. The room was spottless along with the rest of the house. We really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch at night.

After not having seen my highschool classmates for several years, we committed to a 3 day mini reunion on the coast of Maine. They came from Wis. and Va. so I, being from N.H. made the arrangements and randomly chose the Kendall Tavern from an on line search. We expected the antique charm and ambiance and were not disappointed. Tim, our host was gracious and charming as well. The rooms were very nicely decorated and spotless. Easy access to the kitchen and resources there made our reunion "just like being at home". Would definitely return!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Kendall B & B. The wonderful food and the accomadations and relaxed atmosphere were just what the Dr. ordered. We hope to return to Kendall soon with some friends.

We had an absolutely lovely night at the Kendall Tavern Inn. The only two minor problems were a little bit of traffic noise outside the window (VERY little) and that the mattresses were a little hard. The Inn owner was extremely friendly and kind, and made an absolutely delicious breakfast in the morning, prepared a little early so that we could catch our flight out. Really a wonderful stay! :)

Tim was an exceptionally congenial host and we enjoyed talking with him about the area.

This B&B was located down the road from the main business of Freeport. Close enough to walk if you wanted too but just a one minute drive down to LLBean, all the great shops big and small and plenty of restaurants. It was far enough out of the mainstay to be peaceful yet convenient. The house was beautifully kept, all the rooms were very pretty,and breakfast each day was plentiful and delicious, literally on our table within a minute of sitting down. The hosts were very friendly but not intrusive. We came to town for a family wedding at the Haraseeket, a great venue for a wedding, beautiful garden ceremony and the BEST wedding food I have ever had in my life! Beaches within a short drive were great. All in all a wonderful experience.

We stayed one night at this bed and breakfast on our way back to Connecticut. We did some shopping in Freeport and enjoyed our evening at this inn. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. They took care of every question we had. I liked that they had menus of the restaurants in town, so that we could make an informed decision about where to eat dinner. Breakfast was excellent and filling! Overall, we had a great time.

You could not find a more charming setting! We stayed at Kendall Tavern for a "mini-moon" just after our wedding, and we just loved it! While we weren't there much at all during the day, the whole place was great, the breakfasts were unbelievable (I literally hated French toast until Kendall Tavern taught me how tasty it could be!), and the innkeeper was very welcoming. We highly recommend Kendall Tavern!

We took advantage of Tim and Loree's "Green" package. Tim picked us up from the Portland train station and took us back after our three day stay. When we travel, we divide our time to Bed and Breakfast establishments in small towns and 4 star (plus) hotels in large cities. We look for the Bed and Breakfast hosts to share their town with us, provide light breakfast conversation, etc. The best bed and breakfast owners show genuine warmth to their guests and attention to their needs. Tim and Loree provided all of this and more. A reviewer in another site said, and I paraphrase, "You go to Freeport to stay at the Kendall Tavern, and then you go shopping". We found it absolutely true. We will recommend the Kendall Tavern to our friends.

We stay at the Kendall Tavern Bed and Breakfast every year when we visit ME. Tim and Lora are fabulous hosts and make you feel like you are at home; can't do enough for you. We had a wonderful stay at the Kendall Tavern Bed & Breakfast. The rooms were so homey and everything was immaculate! It is a beautiful B&B, but it is the innkeepers that create such a great atmosphere. They are wonderful at what they do and their hospitality is very sincere. They were great when we needed to reschedule our stay due to a snow storm. We were treated to tea/coffee and homemade, hot oatmeal cookies every night in the kitchen. The hot breakfast every morning was a real treat! It was truly a pleasant and relaxing stay and we will be back!

Spent Freeport's Sparkle Weekend, with a first time stay at a bed and breakfast instead of a hotel. We were not disappointed. Kendall Tavern B&B offered an "at home feeling" that could not be matched by area hotels. My wife and I have stayed in several B&B's, and Kendall's ranks there with the best.

we booked for one night on our way down to Logan. We booked on line and received friendly confirmation e-mails back promptly. We had a warm and friendly welcome and offered a range of rooms. The cleanliness of the inn is outstanding and the location being close to the town centre was very convienient. Th inn has the menu's of most of the local eatery's, which saved us the walk all over town checking countless menu's. We were in room 5, which I guess is a little smaller than some others, but is very private and noise free and was our choise of the rooms. The free WIFI down stairs is very handy. The inn is a "Kodak moment" from every angle.

The Kendall Tavern absolutely made our stay in Maine. Close enough to town to walk to everything, but far enough away to not feel touristy. Tim and Lora are Excellent innkeepers; very friendly, very helpful, excellent cooks. Our bedroom was great, but the common areas and kitchen really sets this place apart. There is nothing better than sitting by the fire in one of their high back chairs drinking coffee and reading a book. Go! Now!

This B&B is simply delightful. Picture book appearance, charming rooms, and the most hospitable innkeeper. The added value lies in the breakfasts.........so delicious!

The Tavern is a great place to use as a base to explore the beauty of Maine

Tim is an excellent host who tries very hard to make you feel at home. The breakfast is great and the atmosphere for dining is very warm. The room we had this year, having stayed several times in the past, is getting a little worn and the attention to cleaning re baseboard moldings etc is less than ideal. Maybe it is close to the end of the season.

We had a quilt weekend with 11 of us. Tim and Loree are fantastic hosts. They set up areas for us to all work together and checked on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. We decided to stay in and eat take-out for dinner so we could continue working on our projects and they provided plates and silverware for us. The breakfast was fantastic, everything fresh and the breakfast casserole was excellent. We had stopped at the local quilt shop (http://www.cottonweeds.com/) before checking in and later the owner came to the B & B and gave us all goody bags & coupons, which we used again the next day. We had such a wonderful time that we are already booked again for 2010.

This was our first trip to Maine and out first Bed and Breakfast experience. Tim and Loree made it a great one. Their hospitality was exceptional. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was quiet and cozy tucked in the back of the Inn. Tim helped us pick some great dining choices. We even had snacks and hot chocolate waiting for us when we returned from a long day of shopping and site seeing. This was a great weekend getaway. We will definately visit Kendall Tavern Inn again!
