Inn Details

Step back into the 19th century in this large, gracious 1846 Victorian home, just two blocks up from Eastport's Historic District Waterfront. Victorian buffs will be delighted with ornately carved, marble-topped furniture, knick-knacks and books with which the builder, Benjamin F. Milliken, furnished his home. Mr. Milliken maintained a wharf on Eastport's busy waterfront from which he serviced the tall ships that used the harbor for a flourishing international trade through the 1800's. Guests may enjoy a complimentary glass of Port or Sherry in the large double living room, containing two marble fireplaces where there is cable television, board games, and a fire on coolish days. There are five guestrooms on the second and third floors, uniquely furnished with lovely Victorian furniture and decorated with the momentoes left behind by the Milliken family. Bedside chocolates and fresh flowers in season welcome guests to their rooms.
