A Little Dream

  • Inn Details

Sweet dreams and little luxuries abound in this lovely white Victorian with wicker and flower filled wrap-around porch. Set on two acres of rolling lawns and lovely perennial gardens, it overlooks two small castles with distant views of Penobscot Bay. Noted for it's lovely breakfast, beautiful rooms, and charming atmosphere. A Little Dream's English-Country-Victorian decor has been featured in "Country Inns Magazine", and in Glamour's "40 Best Getways Across the Country". In the historic district, just a few minutes from shops and harbor, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Thoughtfully appointed rooms, all with private baths, have either a private deck, view, or fireplace. All have special touches such as imprted soaps and chocolates, and a hostess who will do her very best to please.

This is the best B & B we have ever stayed in. The Islewatch suite is so beautiful. The large covered porch is like having another room- with great views. The breakfasts are the best.

I have been making at least one trip a year to A Little Dream since 1995. It is a wonderful place for a girls' weekend away, a mother daughter get away, or an anniversary trip. Beautifully decorated rooms, a scrumptious breakfast, and wonderful hosts. It is all that the name implies and more!
