Oakland House Seaside Resort
This spacious resort stretches along a spectacular half-mile of oceanfront. There are: lake and ocean beaches, game lawns, and woodland hiking trails. Situated amidst cultivated organic gardens, woodlands, and open fields, the historic restaurant, wagon house, Shore Oaks Seaside Inn, and 15 cozy cottages have been welcoming guests for more than 118 years. Shore Oaks Seaside Inn has ten elegant bedrooms. Cottages are a delightful melding of comfort and rusticity and are sized for couples or larger for families. The food is exceptional!

Served on the beach every Thursday evening. Boiled maine lobster, seafood chowder, salads, rolls, beverage. This is a roll up your sleeves, on the beach affair. Both children and adults love it.
The menu changes on a daily basis. There is a varying selection of appetizers, entrees, soup, salad, desert, bread, potato or rice, and fresh vegetable. The culinary staff is excellent and the waitstaff attentive and cordial.

- Smoking is allowed in limited areas (Outside only at Shore Oaks Seaside Inn & cottages.)
- We cannot accommodate guest pets (No pets on premises, thank-you.)
- Children are welcome (Cottages are suitable for children of all ages.)
- No childcare is provided (May be arranged in advance. Local day camps may be available)
- Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Wine and Beer served in the dining room. Take out available.)
- Deposit amount required (Yes, Arranged at time of reservation.)
- Closed: Two winterized cottages only in winter.

Jim grew up in his innkeeping family and loves innkeeping. An engineer, he's good with boats and shorefront activities and the intricacies of maintaining his family's 250 year old homestead.
