Harbor View House of 1807
Harbor View House of 1807 is a true gem of Federal architecture that has been lovingly maintained to retain its original design and charm. Authentic pumpkin pine floors guide the visitor into the common living and dining rooms. These rooms provide relaxing areas in which guests can play games, chat, relax over the afternoon tea and enjoy the breakfasts served every morning in the dining room. The living room also has an "Internet corner," providing guests access to their e-mail. The inn has 6 guest rooms, each with private bath, fireplace and beautiful views of Belfast, the harbor and Penobscot Bay beyond. The large size of the rooms and the spacious hallways ensure a quiet stay in each of these guestrooms. The first-floor guest rooms at the rear of the first floor provide a semi-private deck with views of the bay. Rooms have different sleeping accommodations to better serve the needs of our visitors-twins, queen and king beds. All guest rooms are carefully furnished to provide comfort for our guests while honoring the Federal style of the house. Every private bath has a tub/shower (many have deep claw-footed baths in which you can relax) and robes to warm your body and spirit. Rooms include a small TV/VCR. A large deck offers guests an outdoor area in which to relax, sip lemonade and snack on cookies, all the while enjoying the view of the bay, the Harbor View House gardens, and the woods beyond.
