100% of Trip Advisor travelers writing reviews recommend The White House Inn. An exceptional experience awaits the guests of the Inn, located in the beautiful mid-coast region. This 1840 Greek Revival manor house is referenced in many architectural volumes, yet the Inn is much more than its marble fireplaces and grand, sweeping stairway. Here the elegance of yesteryear is melded with sophisticated amenities and modern conveniences. Your hosts, Diana and Santiago Rich, recently retired from the US Foreign Service, will be your personal concierge. The White House Inn has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

This was our second stay at the Inn. The owners are incredibly hospitable and flexible with check-in times. The Inn itself is an architectural gem which has been decorated tastefully in the Greek Revival style. Breakfast was elegantly served in one of the several drawing rooms. The hosts were unusually accommodating of our vegetarian/vegan diets. We would highly recommend the Inn to anyone staying in the Belfast area.

The Belfast Whitehouse Inn was a capstone to our 8 night Maine coast getaway. The B&B experience was fostered by our gracious host and hostess, Santiago and Diana Rich, who made us feel welcome and pampered for the entire visit. The Whitehouse Inn is beautifully appointed and our quarters were spotlessly clean and most comfortable. The breakfast, personally prepared by Santiago and Diana, proved to be a culinary delight. We highly recommend The Whitehouse Inn for discerning Maine travelers. Charles & Dorothy Mitchiner Greenville, South Carolina

Diana was a fantastic hostess. The breakfast that was served was excellent! We were snowed in for one full day and felt like we were home.
