Fairhaven Inn
Pendleton Edgecomb built Fairhaven around 1790 for his bride, Margaret Mains of Woolwich. A typical Maine farmhouse that grew along with its family, it was home to the Edgecomb family for 125 years. Come explore this rambling house with nooks in the most unexpected places. The Tavern room, added in the 1940s, offers casual relaxation. Take a cool drink out on the terrace. Walk through our meadow to the Kennebec river. There's a good chance you'll spot an eagle. Deer, grouse and fox also make their homes in surrounding 16 acres of woods.

From Boston: Take 93 North to 95. Follow 95 through Mass, New Hampshire and into Maine. It will become the Maine Turnpike when you get to the border. Take Exit 6A to 295 North. It will become 95 North. Freeport and L.L. Bean are at exit 20 if you want to make a shopping stop. If not, continue to exit 22, Route 1 North. You'll drive through the outskirts of Brunswick, past Mc Donalds and some car dealerships. After the Saturn dealership, get into the left lane. Watch for the signs to Bath and just follow the flow of the traffic. You will come onto a divided highway which is Route 1. Take the 3rd exit which is marked New Meadows Road, West Bath. This exit is in the country, before you get to Bath. Turn right at the end of the exit. Go .9 mile to the stop sign. You will see a sign for the Bath Country Club pointing straight. Turn right and then an immediate left to go straight. Go .8 mile and turn right on Whiskeag Road. (There is a street light after dark) Go .9 mile and turn left onto North Bath Road.
