We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ullikana. The night Innkeeper was extremely hospitable as were the innkeepers who we met at breakfast the next morning. The room was lovely, albeit on the smaller size and the bathroom was across the hall, but clean. The B&B is historic and well kept, an ideal location to Main St and the town square, and has beautiful art including sculptures in its lovely garden. What really set this B&B apart from others is the outstanding breakfast we were treated to the next morning, served outside overlooking the harbor. This was a 3-course high end brunch that could easily have been from a 5-star restaurant! The scenery, delicious food, French tablecloths, service, and French music in the background made us feel on a relaxed luxury vacation far away!
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay

Great location and a beautiful historic building with interesting art work displayed inside and out. The owners Roy and Helene are lovely and very helpful. Helene makes the most wonderful gourmet breakfasts. Our 3rd floor room was huge and comfortable with a private balcony with bay views and comfortable chairs. The staff members were very efficient and meticulous in freshening our room everyday while we enjoy breakfast outside on the patio.
Thank you for the kind words. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay

We chose the room with the bath across the hall. That was awkward but workable.
Happy to hear you had a nice visit

We had a great time at this inn! The house is lovely and well located in Bar Harbor, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. The staff is very welcomming. Roy gave us great advice for our hikes in Acadia National Park, including information about the free bus shuttle, which was so helpfull! Hélène is a wonderful cook and her breakfasts are just fabulous!
Thank you for the kind words

This was the loveliest Inn I've stayed in. The rooms were beautiful as were the grounds with interesting artwork everywhere. The hosts were wonderful people. Roy was very helpful with restaurant recommendations, directions, and info about the park. Looking forward to staying there again. Oh, and the breakfasts were delicious, with a beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking Frenchman's Bay.

We go to Ullikana every summer... it is that good. My husband and I look forward to it all year long. It is such a treat to be there. The breakfasts are sumptuous. Helene is an excellent baker and cook. She and Roy are so warm and welcoming, as are the entire staff. There is a beautiful view of Bar Harbor. Excellent restaurants are within walking distance. The house itself is gorgeous, and the rooms are warm and both luxurious, but comfy too. It truly restores your soul and body to be there. There is much to do on the island- hiking, kayaking, sailing, biking, or just driving through the park. You should definitely go on the carriage trails, even if you just walk a little way. I highly recommend Room #7 as it has a balcony on the third floor. The ocean breeze and air are so welcome at this time of year.
Thank you so much and see you next year.

Beautiful, well run inn. Perfect location, quiet, but walking distance to everything, Hosts Roy and Helene and innkeeper Cyd can advise you on where to find the best lobster roll to the best hikes in Acadia, Helene's breakfasts are scrumptious, served outdoors on patio overlooking the harbor. Perfect in every way!
