Secluded and romantic, the Inn at Ullikana, built in 1885, is one of the few early cottages still remaining in Bar Harbor. Only a minute from the center of town our quiet location offers a haven of hospitality. From our terrace overlooking the harbor, start your day with a sumptuous breakfast and relax with refreshments in the afternoon. We are proud to be a member of Select Registry, and rated top pick by Fodors, An Explorer's Guide to Maine, and Moon Handbooks.

We have stayed at the Ullikana many times & it seems that each time is better than the last. Roy & Helene pay close attention to every detail that makes our stay perfect.

We stayed at the Ullikana for the first time in August of 1995. The decision was made after one phone conversation with Roy. His friendly and genuinely helpful personality was clearly evident. In person he and Helena are even better. We have stayed at B&Bs from California to Maine to Dublin to St. Thomas. We have not found innkeepers that surpass Roy and Helena. The staff: ditto. The stay we just completed is our tenth. Five of them included taking friends with, and they have also returned. The house just keeps getting better; with constant upgrades that do not detract from the character. The quiet location is only 300 feet from the ocean and 500 feet from main street shops and restaurants.

It was a great get away. What we found out is that you must stay more then 2 nights. There is to much to see and do. We hated to leave. We'll be back! See you soon!! The B&B was a great place to lay your head and breakfast was awesome.

The Ullikana is a fabulous inn. Roy and Helene are friendly hosts that provide knowledgable insights into hiking, shopping and dining. The location is right in town so at the end of the day all of the wonderful Bar Harbor restaurants, shops and galleries are just a short walk away. And by the way, Helene's breakfasts are not to be missed.

Highly recommend the Ullikana. Besides being absolutely beautiful, it is in a perfect location to explore Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Helene and Roy are lovely hosts. They are extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful. The evening happy hour provides an opportunity to chat with the other guests in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. I have no hesitation encouraging you to visit Ullikana. Thank you Helene and Roy for your hospitality.

I recently stayed at the Ullikana Inn with my wife on a short two night visit, and we were both very happy with our stay. The inn and owners exceeded our expectations in every respect. I would certainly return and have already recommend this location to my family and friends. Our room was very clean and well presented, the food was excellent, and the staff was so helpful. It was a great experience, I can't wait to go back.
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for recommending the Ullikana. Hope to see again in a near future.

Perfect location for walking the town or to restaurants. Beautiful room with private deck and chairs. Stayed in mid-August; did not need the air-conditioning. Exceptional breakfasts, both in taste, amount, and visual appeal. Breakfast served outside, so even in August, take a sweater. Inn keepers are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay at Ullikana again if our travels take us to Bar Harbor.
Thank you for the nice review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay.See you again, we hope.
